    Land of the free = land of the fee

    • @Thekid3668
      @Thekid3668 7 лет назад +1

      animalspider there are less fees than other countries. We get to decide what we buy or pay for unlike other countries where you have the government take half or more of your pay and deal with what the government decided to spend your money on. So yeah the United States is the land of the free you don't need to spend your money on things you don't want (unless the government takes more money aka "taxes" form you).

      European Commission: Every European must be able to have access to the open internet and all content and service providers must be able to provide their services via a high-quality open internet. Under these rules, blocking, throttling and discrimination of internet traffic by Internet Service Providers (ISPs) is not allowed in the EU, save for three exhaustive exceptions (compliance with legal obligations; integrity of the network; congestion management in exceptional and temporary situations) and users are free to use their favourite apps and services no matter the offer they subscribe to.

Luckily some smart people read through the documentation and put forward a petition. In the resulting court case, Indian telecom conceded to the public interest and stated that few corporations cannot dictate the internet. Btw Mark Zuckerberg and his goons from Facebook were the leading scumbagputing forward this lie of "Net Neutrality" , like Ajit Pai.

    The greed, the corruption and the blindness just surprises me so much. Its so obvious that some of these people are getting bribed but yet they continue. They don't listen to the people so whats the point of democracy? The whole situation is shady and suspicious.

      Yes, and the blindness to what's really going on when silicon valley lefts monopolies which do in fact censor quite shamelessly are against another set of monopolies on the issue of so called "net neutrality", when people have only pretended to care since 2015.

      Okay, not entirely wiped it out: You allowed them (native people to the land) to live on reservations.
      How does anything awful surprise a citizen of the US anymore, this I don't understand. Is it because you're ignorant or because you're stupid; that's the real million dollar question here.

    Wow the perfect scenario which showcases one of major flaws with both capitalism and democracy. Politicians and political parties are supposed to be beholden to the people. The implicit agreement is that you will vote for them only if they look after your interests. However because of ground realities of our time, vast sums of money is needed to fund campaigns. Where do they get this money from? from the corporations of course. In theory they should still keep the interests of people higher than those of corporations but the reality is that politicians will pay lip service to issues that matter to people but they really just look out for corporate interests in the end which are at odds with the interests of the people many a times. The result is that you will get people like trump in the office who are willing to ridicule decades of scientific research all to pull the wool over a few americans (I am sure most dont actually buy all of what he says. They vote for him because they are angry at somethings and trump seems like the lesser of the two evils to them)
    Same with corporations, companies exist to make a profit and to give good value to shareholders but they are also supposed to have greater goals like driving innovation and to better society while making those profits. This is why every big company has such grand and novel sounding mission statements and values on paper. However the way the system is setup, it pays for companies to pander to shareholders and focus on making even more money for the super-rich people at the top of the company. At best they will throw a few million towards inefficient charities some of which do more harm than good all the while dodging tens of millions in taxes using unethical means. They do it because they can and its in the interest of their shareholders and also their employees which they place before everything else...
    Dont get me wrong I am not saying that capitalism or democracy are bad. They have done a world of good for societies around the world and literally transformed human lives. However, the flaws with these systems are more obvious than ever before in history. If you look the statistics of how wealth is distributed in nearly every country in the world in 2017 you can see that something is very very wrong here. We need to tinker with both capitalism and democracy before these problems get out of hand.

      Then where do you draw the line? Why are you supporting companies like Google, Facebook, and Twitter, who censor people on the daily? You've bought into the mass-hysteria. Comcast, AT&T, ect, are no saints, but at the end of the day, they are a business set out to make money. They will not risk major stock investors dumping stock when they hear that the ISPs are now bundling websites like they bundle internet packages. Too much of a risk for too little reward.
