I signed up for Clear. I also have Global Entry and TSA Pre check. JFK is my airport where those TSA Pre Check Lines can be iffy, time pending. It should be noted+hi-lited that if you have the AMEX Platinum card, they grant you a $179 dollar credit. If you add your Delta Skymiles account number, it's $169. I added my mom on it, so that's the total I would get credit for. I dont have to pay for it since it's covered by the credit card. Other credit cards offer this as well. I just went with the Platinum AMEX.
Clear is very worthwhile even better when it's free! My biggest hassle is security Sfo is so busy and that's my main airport. It feels good to cut the line 😌
I have clear, I got in on a promotion where I could use it absolutely free for the first 2 months and I was free to cancel at anytime. Flying out of Orlando, the lines are always horrible so the fact that I could use it to fly out and back to Cleveland for free, I took it. But it is very expensive and if you only fly once or twice a year, it’s honestly not worth it. You still have to wait in long security lines and they actually charged me after the first 2 weeks instead of the 2 months and wouldn’t refund. I thought I would use it more than I did and the fact that you have to pay yearly, unless you’re someone who travels several times a year; in my opinion from being a Clear customer; it’s not worth it.
I love Global Entry and it's worth a few extra bucks to tack that onto Precheck. My one gripe with Precheck - Seatac's Precheck is WAAAAAAY away from the other security lines. Any time that you save going through the Precheck line faster could be eaten up by the amount of time it takes you to walk past the regular TSA line to get to the Precheck line.
Sorry I'm a little slow lol but what you're saying is that the perks of the TSA precheck are included in Global entry? like the Expedited Security process?
I have been wanting to get Global Entry but it is a 2 1/2 hr. drive to the nearest international airport so it just doesn't seem worth it. Thanks for the explanation of all of them.
I think so. Breezing through customs is worth more than $15 to me. You may also find that once certain barriers to international travel are broken, it makes the trips a bit easier to do. Up to you though!
Just an update to the question I asked, it won't allow you to get the global entry if u don't answer the questions to say that u travel out of the country frequently. It automatically defaults you to TSA pre
@@SpiritualSchmuck I would say yes because u have to actually go thru the process and depending on your area, u might not be able to get in for an appointment in time
Is TSA Precheck available in all airports in the US? Also for Global Entry, I know it says Global, but does Global Entry’s precheck work if you only fly within the US?
It’s unfortunately only available in larger airports. What some people do is fly into one and begin the process there. You can find your nearest airport here: www.cbp.gov/travel/trusted-traveler-programs/global-entry/enrollment-centers As far as I know, precheck does only work for the US but I’m not sure. It’s been awhile since I’ve flown internationally lol
GLOBALLLLLLLLL!!! Pay that extra $15. I'm never going back! The clear line is always packed/slow.
Very informative. I have Global Entry, and I love it. As you mentioned, I always get reimbursed with my credit card.
Hooray for Global Entry reimbursement!

Why does the audio look out of sync? 🤔
Such a helpful video! I've always wondered what the difference was :)

You're welcome! I hope a closer option opens up for you
It's not only at airports. Look online for other locations
@@deuceswild117 Thanks for the information. I just signed up online and will complete the process at my local Staples store.
Even if I don't travel internationally often, would it still make sense to just go for the global entry since it's only 15 more than TSA pre check?

It's july 12th I'm flying July 20th to Mexico is that too short a period of time to get my global entry taken care of?

Clear also allows you into stadiums and concert venues now. Proving your vaccinated or tested and Hawaii
