      Thank you, I appreciate your feedback, Lol the Lash product I used didn't have a bleach content, I was one used for general cleaning and degreasing. Thanks again for watching, and happy camping.

      They sure are a lot easier to clean than the Cadac. Thanks for watching.

    We've got one of these - great bit of kit, and so much lighter than CADAC etc.. The one thing that makes George want to cook when we're away ! Thank you - George and Trish CaravanningMacs.

    Ahh, very famous egg banjo here in N.I.( or egg soda as we make with soda bread) you lift up to eat egg bursts and squirts all down your shirt and your free had strums up and down trying to clean the mess like your strumming a Banjo !!.

    Hi James great video as usual but think I’ll stick to my cadak 😀

    Hi James. We was talking last night about getting one as well. We have a cadac but it's not always convenient to get that out. Think this will be a more simple and affective way of cooking. Thanks for sharing Egg Bango. Military slang for a sandwich with more than just an egg 🥚😋 . Cheers Paul and Sarah

      Hi Guys yes it really is convenient especially if you get some little pans as well. It packs away in an old canvas bag under the seat and takes up very little room and is very lightweight. We did buy the Aldi/Lidl version originally but that only lasted a couple of seasons and twisted out of shape. This Kamp one seems to be a lot better. Nice one for knowing what an egg banjo is. Take Care James

    I had 1 but when cooking on the plate it kept switching off then coming back on to me it was switching of to quickly so I got a cadac perfect 👍

      Hi I also have a Cadac (Great Bit of Kit), You are correct it does switch off and come on again when it reaches the set temperature, although it does sound like yours could have been doing it to often and possibly had a faulty thermostat . Thanks for commenting. James

    Just came across your old post. Bought one similar from Amazon, arrived broken so ordered a Vango scran. After first use the hotplate warped lengthwise and at the end where there’s an opening for drip page curled up across the horizontal! The central cooking area has moulded to the shape of the elements!
    Has yours warped? Or is it just the poor quality of the Vango?

      @CaravanEscapades101  Год назад +1

      Hi, Thanks for watching. I have had no real trouble with it. There has been very minimal warping, but nothing that would be any issue. I think there are a lot out there that look similar, but quality varies. I have just bought the Outdoor Revolution version and will be doing a vlog over the next few weeks. This is far more robust and sturdy than any others I have seen out there and is about £39.99. Hope that helps

      @@CaravanEscapades101 just had a look at that one online, it does look quite strong with no break in the walls for drippage.
      However it is 2KW WHICH IS 10ams at 240v May be touch and go depending on the campsite allowance? I’d forget to switch the fridge back on if I had to knock everything off to use the grill!

    Thanks for the video, you may have seen my vlog on Colins Caravan Capers I’ve just left the Cadac Room and using a hot plate I hadn’t considered the moisture issue. What canopy are you using ?

    • @CaravanEscapades101
      @CaravanEscapades101  3 года назад +1

      Hi Colin yes I did see your Vlog on leaving the Cadac Brigade I know what you mean with all the cleaning and faff etc I just can't bring myself to give up the Cadac quite yet. The grill plate does work as a great alternative., funnily enough I saw your vlig after filming this one. 👍 Yeh cooking breakfast and plugging the hotplate into a multiway extension on wet early morning grass could spell disaster. The Canopy is a Kampa Sunshine Air 400 with sides. Very compact and easy tonset up. Thanks for watching. James

    I really don't get it. I bought one, and it was constantly going on and then off - it was impossible to keep a constant temperature. Chipolatas were burned on the outside and undercooked in the middle.
    0/10 and will be going in the bin when we get home. Over hyped rubbish.

      Hi first of all thanks for watching and for sharing your experience, I am sorry to hear it wasn't a god one, I agree that the Temperature does keep kicking in and out, What I found was that keeping the dial at about 3/4 really helped. I have also just recorded a Vlog on a Similar Product by Outdoor Revolution and will be releasing that over the coming weeks. Happy Camping James
