    I bought one for 20 quid on amazon and its brilliant, use it all the time in the awning, great for doing bacon and eggs in the morning but also does loads of other stuff. When I'm done cooking I turn it off and put a square of folded up tissue paper in the drip tray to soak up the bulk of the oil.

    Hi, we've been converts to Teppanyaki cooking for the last couple of years. They are fantastic at cooking steaks too and Omelettes are almost instant! We bought one for our relations and they are big fans too - they've not used their Cadac since!
    We've never had to increase the temperature above 2 1/2. One tip for cleaning - scrape off the excess food and oil with a plastic or wooden spatula while it's still hot as this makes it much easier to clean. It then just needs a quick wipe and you're done.

    Sensible question. You mention tipping from the corner drain. Would you use this outside or in, or under canopy or all? Big question........ would you tip cooking oil in the van sink? is this good for the grey tank? I appreciate I'm asking lots of questions but I'm an inquisitive guy and I really want to know what I am doing before I do it. I did see gas a camping BBQ that had a hot plate similar to this, would this be a better alternative. Really interested in this item, seems easier that getting the gas BBQ out every morning.... I like my full English. PS, a comment you made earlier, were you in the medical profession or the law enforcement profession? You don't have to answer that. Hope I'm not engaging too much and annoying you, it's just the way I am.

    • @HereWeTow
      @HereWeTow 3 года назад

      You can use an electric grill inside and out, not a gas bbq though due to carbon monoxide. You shouldnt tip fat down the sink, I wipe it up and dispose of it. The electric grill is easier to whip out and use but the Cadac is good if you want to cook more food as it has a bigger cooking surface 😊👍

    I'll give Jules a 9 out of 10 for his bacon, but that egg?... unless he improved off-camera, at best a 3!😂... no egg white control...

    All these tests make me laugh, all the hot plates are the same with different names on them and nobody seems how to use them properly or get the timing right.

    I really don't get it. I bought one, and it was constantly going on and then off - it was impossible to keep a constant temperature. Chipolatas were burned on the outside and undercooked in the middle.
    0/10 and will be going in the bin when we get home. Over hyped rubbish.

      Ours is excellent, we use it all the time, even at home for BBQs.. we use it at setting 1 or 2..no more. If you are having issues take it back for a refund as it shouldn’t be doing that.
