This was very beautifully done! Thank you for making this available to us. The little background sound touches really added to the performance. God bless all souls in the performance.
You know you're a Shakespeare student when you start recognizing the voice actors. Malvolio is Hamlet... Sir Andrew is King Lear... Maria is Rosalind. Listening to the play while reading the footnotes is really helpful.
I don't know. I'm not a studant of Shakespeare or anything, but I must say I'm more used to a more dramatic voice acting. I don't know if it's different when it's done on the stage, but sometimes I got the impression that they're just reading the lines emotionless.
Thank you so much for this! It is great! Is there any way you could put the start times for each act and scene? Something like an index to shorten searching times for all libravox recordings?
I'm insulted by some of these readings. Oh, good navy gravy, this is painful. "aNoBulDookInNaChurAndInName" Iambic pentameter by a 2nd grader. ughghhgh

Everyone here is listening to this because we don’t feel like reading it lmao
shhhhh
I listen to many audiobooks because I don't wanna read them. It may seem like cheating but it is just more efficient when it all comes down to it.
Shakespeare is not meant to be read. It is meant to be listened to.
I just got here and I've never been called so fast

Tell me suitable answer if possible dear
Why does Maria forge a letter from olivia to Malviolio ?
because it is an epic prank
I'm listening to this with speed x1,5, I ain't gonna spend 2 hours on school. Ever.
Valentine's voice is great, clear, rich, and concise.
Sir Andrew's voice just unbearable. I stopped listening because of him alone.
Coming from the future to reply, but his voice is neat. It sounds like Ian McKellan (Voice of Gandalf/Magneto). 57:30 ish has his voice

Good god Sir Toby's voice is bad
I thought Sir Toby's voice was excellent. Sir Andrew's voice was unbearable.
I didn't think either of them were so bad... but Sir Andrew's voice sounded like he should have been a fat butler with a bulldog face.
you do the librivox recording then! they are always looking for people to help with recordings, it is a great public service they are doing.
