    Hi Andy, it would be great if you collaborated with Dr. Antonio Webb, spine surgeon! Especially since you expressed interest in ortho!

    I echo what you said about the differences in pacing in a private practice! My friend worked in an ortho office and she was shocked at how much of a quantity-based environment it is.

    surgery is so dope. Gonna be exciting to see what you place for top matches and what you actually match. Hopefully surgery and then you can record your entire residency for us haha

    Good video. One suggestion I have is to keep in mind other specializations within other specialties that can give you the same interactions like orthopedics but not all the heavy schedule and burnout. For instance, I've been doing my PMR rotation for fourth year and I've been surprised at how much it's like ortho except with a larger focus on peripheral nerves and musculature as well as brain rehabilitation. If you want something that gives you that orthopedic focus without all the time intensity, this specialty is great. Just something I learned even in Fourth Year. You can find your passion of other specialties in areas you wouldn't expect. I wish someone how mentioned that. But when I'm a neurology resident, I'll make sure to tell medical students about neurology subspecialties because they're is literally something for everyone here.

      early exposure is definitely important! that's why i love doing my 73Q series because it allows people to see specialties that i never heard of either. i personally just enjoy the OR too much to lose that in my career

    That’s awesome that you like ortho! Not to be a downer, but your ortho rotation seemed very light compared to the usual. On trauma, you’ll get to the hospital at 4:30 and leave around 8-9

    Is it unusual to have free food provided? Just curious! Your schedule sounded exhausting. Glad you had the food.

    Spell Orthopaedic correctly.

    • @MedStudentCane
      @MedStudentCane 2 месяца назад

      Orthopedic = Orthopaedic
      (🇺🇸 English). (🇬🇧 English)
      Just like Gray = Grey
      Maybe you should learn this before telling someone to spell it correctly.
