- Jason Han was Born and raised in South Korea until age 10. Came here with his family and attended Columbia University and Perelman School of Medicine, where he was the student body president. I'm currently a cardiac surgery resident at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and the vice president of the TSRA, which is our national governing body. I'm broadly interested in communication, education, and leadership, especially concerning our patients and staff. I've written a column for the Philadelphia Inquirer for seven years and have written essays for the New England Journal of Medicine, the Journal of American College of Cardiology, and more.

Welcome to the Zach Highley Show, where we discuss personal growth and medicine to figure out how to improve our lives. My name is Zach a Resident Physician in Boston. Throughout these episodes, I’ll interview top performers from around the world in business, life, and medicine in hopes of extracting the resources and techniques they use to get to the top.
The best way to help the show is to share episodes on any platform. If you think a friend or family member will like a certain episode, send it to them!
I first saw Dr. Han on ND MD’s 73 question series and I must say, it’s very apparent that he is extremely intelligent. Very well spoken gentleman and very down to earth. Great interview brotha!
Wow just wow. He’s so well spoken and really knows what he is doing with everything in life. He is in the right field for sure. Such an inspiration to me
1:06:56 That resonates with me. "You can't wish away a decade of your life". I know so many people that "can't wait for it to be friday". I tell them before you know it you will have slowly wished away your life week by week until there are no more days to wish away.
How do you get the time to prepare, to read, to write research papers when you’re working 80hrs a week…
I find this interesting. I currently scribe for a neurosurgeon who actually went to the same medical school as Dr. Han. Normally he spends 60 minutes to 75 minutes discussing surgery and what the process is going to be like, preoperatively and postoperatively, and it's definitely something out of the normal, in which something that needs to be more common across doctors in general. Not having 10 minute follow ups before a surgery lol
Be
10 minutes? That’s not a thing.
great inspiring story of Dr. Jason Haan.. we need more people like him
Exceptional interview. Thank you, Zach.
Wow! Every word is precious & inspiring...Love the details of each specialities...❤
Thank you! He is great.
Really love this refreshing point of view.
This was so good
This channel is fantastic, thank you Zach
Ahhhhh
This person is amazing!! He literally has my favorite medical field and nationality! Loved this show
Amazing1 Keep this up! So inspiring! Been listening through your whole series. Gets inspired to do the specialities. When you think you know what specialty you want to go for, you get inspired by another one!
Especially like the insights: if I hadn’t gone into surgery i would consider psychiatry. So inspiring, so true for myself! I have been pondering on that exact same thoughts!
Very inspiring ideas! Thank u so much for sharing.
Fantastic watch, lucky to have caught this as soon as it was dropped
Thank you for watching!

How did you not know CT surgery was a thing? How do people like you even get into medical school?! 😅Jesus Christ
And here you are leaving negative comments on a YT Video. Whose the real loser?
What medical school did you attend ?
