A Day in the Life of an Internal Medicine Resident Physician. Dr. Amit Pandey is a third year internal medicine resident at UC San Diego. He graduated from UCLA for undergrad and went to UC San Diego for medical school. You can learn more about his story as well as read his insightful blog posts at medschoolinsid...
Dr. Pandey goes over what a day in the life is like in residency, the perks of internal medicine, and what to expect. He explains the difference between inpatient and outpatient rotations in medical school as well as residency. At this time, he is rotating on toxicology, which is an emergency medicine subspecialty. Even though he's an internal medicine resident, he explains why they rotate on other specialty's services.

Schools in India are tough to get into, I heard that india's schools are the most strict and one of the most difficult curriculums in the entire planet, your parents will get used to it soon

BROBROPRO GT if you’re doing it for the pay, you’re doing it for the wrong reason. Lifestyle should be near or at the top of your priorities when choosing a specialty to go into.

@@evanwoods4774 What your talking about? A survey in the USA showed that Internal medicine had the lowest percentage of doctors who wanted the same speciality again. Also, the money is far less compared to surgeons.

Aspirin overdose??? How is it possible to overdose on aspirin???
Any arrhythmia with the wellbutrin over dose? I would expect this over the seizures. I understand the ECG changes into a particular pattern during a anti depressant over dose. Is this true? If your quick, It sounds exciting to treat.

This is a great video. Internal Medicine is a great field. I trained in it and enjoy it. However, a lot of the rotations in internal medicine residency are so different than this. All specialties are important, but this video doesn’t give a true sense of what an internal medicine resident does. Maybe have a video on inpatient rotations such as wards or ICU in Internal Medicine residency or even outpatient general internal medicine clinic. Great content. Thank you for the content on your channel.
