I would like to say you are very motivational ! I’m starting the respiratory therapy program in August and I’m super excited. Seems like it’s been a long journey leading up to this point, but I know it will pay off. I won’t be a doctor but I want to be as happy and excited for my career as you are!

have you ever thought of being a motivational speaker or doing a ted talk? I feel like you will have a profound effect on people, especially those who are on their long journey to becoming a doctor. Personally im heading into my second year in my undergrad degree as a pre-med, all my other friends are into easier programs so they party every weekend and are dumbfounded by how much i study, so instead of me striving to be better I sometimes say hey my friend doing an english major only studied 2 hours and finished and ive been at it for 5 and am nowhere near done.... that gets me unmotivated although biology and medicine is my passion. Hearing you talk and your mentality towards life and success really does make me fall in love again with my hardworking and dedicated side, so from all of us, Do a ted talk and thank you x

I agree with the statement of try to work hard to be better than you were yesterday.
I also agree with the statement take time to recognize the smaller achievements so you can appreciate the big ones. The smaller things that you did good with are the steps to getting you to the big things that are amazing!
This is especially important for when you are feeling over critical and down on yourself.
It helps with improving your mood and mental health to recognize the smaller good things YOU DID WELL !!!!
Definitely something everyone of every age can work on.

I had a chance to shadow a pulmonary critical care doctor. They encounter some of the most dire cases in medicine. It can be emotionally taxing but it also feels very rewarding to help people who are on the edge of death, from what I observed. Props to these doctors!
