Brother, this was about the most detailed, steady camera, well explained replacement video I have ever watched. I'm just going to replace the worn out speaker grills, so this is golden. Thank you very much.
Just did my daughter's speaker covers and it took almost two hours. Pretty easy. Wanted to pass along a little info that'll help you guys with the five or six black plastic clips that hold on that black felt-covered piece. Just push the little head into the piece and it slides right out. No prying. Super easy. I wish all of the plastic anchors worked this easily.
Yes, but I have a 2002, and I can pop off the back top part from the inside of the car, but I can only get to 2 out of the 4 bolts, holding the speaker in, so I have to take it all apart anyway lol
I like the step-by-step nature of your replacement. You inspired me to finally tackle the rear door speaker removal replacement of my 1992 Toyota Century V8 import (JDM). Thanks @NutzAboutBolts.
Thanks dude, just got a 02 and the rears are blown, your information makes it so all I will need is the speakers, no adapters necessary. Can't wait to get this done because the jbl unit sounds pretty good up front still.
Excellent video! I had to replace the speaker covers. This video was perfect! Watch til the end though before trying it. He found an ease ire way to deal with the back brake light and shows this. Thanks for posting!
Echo below and well done. A+ video and DIY. Just a suggestion for others. Rear seat removal is simple, just need a small pry bar and it pops right out. Makes dealing with those side cushions easier, and allows more room to work when the seats fold down and you pull away the rear deck. I’m a ‘06 but same Gen5 as you. I found that none of the after market brackets match, including your optional (even when they say they do). No plug and play here. Lol. Using the existing or drilling is the only way for 6x9 in the rear deck. Thanks again!
I replaced my 6x9's with new ones. And I screwed them on from underneath. So if I have a blown speaker again I can get them out from underneath inside trunk. The way the factory should have done.
quick tip to start hard to reach bolts without striping, put bolt onto a socket with extension, line up then slowly turn in reverse counterclockwise with light pressure with your fingers, you will feel it click when the threads line up correctly then screw it in normally. It will save you a ton of headaches on striping out threads
I cringed when you put flame to solder the wires to the new speakers. You could have burned the speaker paper. A pencil tip soldering iron would have been better.
To be honest my grill was gone so I just shaved the grill to nothing and bought a pioneer 6x9 speaker with grill included and made a new hole with a screw and shaved the screw to the correct length i needed
@@NutzAboutBolts LOL While I was watching you put the mounting cover back in, I was like, "Dude, the third brake light!!" I think I'll disconnect it before I remove the rear back cover.
It looks similar, you can try if you want. Also on eBay, they sell the wire harness that is plug and play so you don’t have use a soldiering iron to attach the wire harness.
@@NutzAboutBolts yeah I bought some pioneers and was searching videos on changing out my speakers on my 2005 Camry and found yours and I was like dang that's a lot to do LMAO
Finally a video that goes through each process, no fast forwarding, with everything explained well. Thank you so much.

By the way, you already showed this in the video. Doh! I watched it about a week ago and forgot which ones you were having trouble with. My bad.

Man, that’s a whole lot of bullshit to change out some 6x9s. No reason they needed to make it that difficult. Nice vid though.
Thank you. I just replaced my speakers, with the guidance of your video!! Thanks man.
Thanks for doing this video. You made it easy for me to replace the speakers in my car.
I changed my 6x9’s in a 71 Buick and it was 8 bolts from the trunk
DONE ✅
This is some serious work 😱
Fk Japan no very smart

This video is Awesome. Thank you for it. Thank you helping me out.

Thanks you for helping I need to change my 6x9 speaker too

My 2003 Camry have large speaker magnets. Not small ones like the speakers you took out.
Yours might have the JBL package
Tarzan Andrews yes it does.
Great video only thing missing was to test it to make sure the soldering worked
it worked fine.
Extremely helpful and thorough. Thank you!
Do they sell aftermarket metal ones SO WE DON'T HAVE TO REDO IT?
I cringed when you put flame to solder the wires to the new speakers. You could have burned the speaker paper. A pencil tip soldering iron would have been better.
wonder why they didnt use those push-in pins for the top 4 on the panel.....
Would a 6-1/2" speaker work with the 6x9 adaptor ?
How do you do it with the airbags on the side pillars?
Ours didn’t have any side airbags
To be honest my grill was gone so I just shaved the grill to nothing and bought a pioneer 6x9 speaker with grill included and made a new hole with a screw and shaved the screw to the correct length i needed
When mounting the cover you need to connect the 3 brake bulb.
Sorry I had not seen the end ...😅😅✌👍
Haha, it happens.

or you not get the cover to not deal with the grille failling into ur aftermarket speaker🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️
What's positive and negative
Thanks for the video
does this tutorial work with 2006 toyota camry? same speakers too

What did you use to solder the wires together
Solder flux
This has to be the most TEDIOUS way to change my speakers...😂 damn
After doing this, we found a plug and play on eBay. It’s easier lol

I have a 4"× 6" speaker. Can that fit anywhere in a 2011 camry?
Thx man
perfect / thanks bro!!!!!!!
Mines has the airbag 🤔
puta falta de respeto ver todo el video?!!!! i no escuchar los parlantes
What a shame, I wanted to hear the new speakers to make sure they worked properly. :(
Ah sorry, they do work nicely, better than oem lol. We should’ve included that in the video, maybe next time.
This looks like a goddamn chore
