Thanks for the video. The best and clearest to understand that I've seen. Can you make one that shows playing back recorded tracks and recording more tracks? I'd also would like to see one that shows transferring files to a hard drive and retrieving those files back to the model 24.
Posted this in the Mackie Forums...... Im using the model 24 for band practice and recording. There are various mics (vocal and drums) and instruments connected. For my output Im using 2 Mackie powered PA speakers. They were connected to the Main output via XLR which didn't work for the following reason. How do I record my band without having all the audio going to the main Speakers? I really only want vocals to go to the mains. I don't want my guitar signal and the drums going into the main speakers I talked to TASCAM last night and their solution was to connect the PA speakers to "Control Room" and mute and unmute by using the PFL button. This works but it really seems as though its the wrong way of doing it. I was under the impression that the Fader only controls the signal going to the mains not what was being recorded to the SD card. It seems as though Im missing something very simple.
Okay, headphone monitoring question: can we use the "aux" knobs to send a mix to the mon/aux outs, thus creating 2 personalized mixes to listen to while tracking? Thanks, great videos. Subscribed.
Can you clear up a question. If I burn a CD I understand it’s at 44.1. 16. But if I put the Model 24 into 44.1 24 will I have an issue trying to burn at 24 ? Thanks.
What is an analogue EQ for, when itt does not going down to the mix? I really dont understand.. I wanted to buy this mixer.. When i use external effect generators, then they will be on the record, right?
why is it on model 12 all the input is also be used as hi-z for guitar bass what ever .then model 16,and 24 0nly 2 hi-z inputs. not that i would go di in it with guitar case no guitar fx lol.
I dont understand how this is a 24 track when there is only 22 tracks , and to me it seems like even then its not really a 22 track either its more like a 17 track because whatever you plug into just the mono 13/14 it just records on both tracks , so mono 13 records on 13 and 14 at the same time, there seems to be no way to choose just one track , but if you plug into just the the R 14 it will record only on the 14 track but only the right side and its the same through to 19/20 and even the RCA 21/22,,,very confusing and illogical it seems
If you wanted you could send individual instruments into L and R of the stereo tracks then pan them wherever after the fact as they are recorded as individual tracks. The track 23/24 I believe are the L and R bluetooth which I agree is kinda misleading.
Great job of explaining how to get started. Thanks.
Great video and i love how you zoom in on the board to explain where that section is. Bravo Joe.
Thanks! I appreciate it.

Thanks easier than the book!
Great job! This was a big help.😇
Brilliant. Thanks for the video. Helped me get started really quickly. 👍

I'm about to dig into this in a minute, but my first thought is to use the monitor outs instead of the mains.
When recording to the SD card, can you record all channels all at once or is there a limit in terms of simultaneous tracking?
Good info. Thanks for posting.
Thanks, and you're welcome!
Thanks for you help sir, from Nc.

Yes, absolutely, that's how I usually use it.
Thank you very much!
@@StudioonaStick I guess you could do the same with the FX jack, no?
You can but there's no master volume control.
It depends on what you're sending it to, you could control the master volume from that.

Can the SD card be given to a band after a live show so they can load it into their DAW for mixing even if they dont use this Tascam console?

How can I adjust individual trach volume levels on playback? Can I save the changes or do I need to go back and re-record those tracks?
I got the same question. Have you found out the answer to this yet?
