Can you imagine being stuck under snow for hours, and hearing potential sounds of rescue up above. It goes on and gets louder and louder. You grow more tired, but its unnoticed because hope is again flowing through your body. The snow gets brighter and the digging gets faster. Everything is clear and time slows down for a second as you soak in one of the greatest moments of your life...Then you see the teeth.
😭😂😂
LMFAO
Quadrunner B and you didn't have on any gloves!
I would assume it was the winter of 2020. At this point my last words would simply be "of course, it got worse"!
it's like going to Africa, getting stuck in quicksand.....and your 'rescurer' is a honey badger.
'........a honey badger. great. I'm going to go back to my quicksand death, if ya dont mind.'
The wolverine's reaction was like...."awww shit! It's just your weird ass. I thought I was going to have a festive meal, damn!" lol.
Jasper's like, "Yeah..... exactly.... I wanted to.... HELP you..... "
+Brian Kelly Yeah. He's like: "Well thanks. I thought it was food, but it was you. Screw you."
+JarAxe hahahahahahha!!!!
😂😂😂😂
He actually wanted to take Casey out of there and not eat him.The guy was talking the whole time, the wolverine would've smelled if he was dead. The wolverine's excellent nose and acute hearing is never wrong.
I love the sounds wolverine's make :)
This is why Wolverine was recruited to join the X-Men!
+Aspie Otaku Is that L
lol
How astute Aspie
Because Iceman was already on the team?
It's like a dog, raccoon and a bear mixed together.
+Nabbit's RUclips They're actually basically giant ferrets. :P
Dog - Face
Raccoon - Body
Bear - Claws
They're part of the Honey Badger and Weasel family.
Weasels actually
excalibur2112 badgers are'nt part of the weasel family honey badgers are.
Tears - of JOY - to my eyes! Who would have thought to train a wolverine to rescue people trapped in the snow? This trainer is another angel from heaven sent to help us and we need many more just like him!
Definately a trained wolverine, he goes for the jacket instead of the glove, very wise animal. Awsome
What an amazing animal. We humans really don't deserve their love. We destroy more than help.
Wolverines have full emotions just like people, in the wild they bond with each other and are very social in their family units, the dads are significantly involved in raising young along with the moms. Great video, love animals, they bring so much joy to our lives, Wolverines are amazing animals but they are not pets. Jasper was orphaned as his mom died at birth. Steve has done an excellent job at raising him and his brother, he showered them with love.
Wolverine are the best Pets in the World
This isn't a one-off. If the DOW wasn't filled with fanatics & control freaks, knowledgeable and capable people could be saving domesticated strains of various wild animals.
Google the binturong (bearcat), they look similar but are tropical and much tamer than wolverines even wild. They've already been domesticated in Malaysia, but try getting one. They don't have much prospect as an invasive species in the states save perhaps the Gulf Coast, anywhere else gets too cold. They are somewhat dog-like in the behavior, are arboreal (you need an enclosure with vertical aspects) and omnivorous (mostly fruits).
lol I think he walked away when he realized the guy wasn't a rotting deer carcass...
And was cursing under his breath, " damn human was not dead was a phony a great big phony abig waste of my time was what that was." lol
+SuperMasterTurtle "Oh. It's just you. Darn."
Really amazing. Never knew they could be friendly - and trained. Congratulations.
Have to be raised from early on apart from wild parents. They could be domesticated by crossing the friendliest captive animals, and continuing that effort for generations to come.
The whole point of it and what the trainer has been showing for years is you don't need the animal to have genetics telling it to be friendly, you need a human to understand how to properly act around an animal and listen to it. Most people train animals through force and imposing their own will upon them, he shows that by not acting like a pos you can domesticate even the most chaotic creatures on earth. @@Saxxonknight
Hooray for the wolverine!!The only animal that will not back down from a grizzly bear or take one step back!!I admire this animal greatly!!
It's just so incredible!!!! Wolverine is one of the ten most agressive animals on earth. Amazing!!!!!
wow, how strong are thise things to pull a full grown man out like that LOL
Bless that Wolverine's heart he truly was trying to pull him out that's awesome
So, I should be relieved to see a wolverine digging me out of a hole instead of terrified?
Richard Stuckmeyer And you really believe Jasper is "tamed"? I'm sure Siegfried and Roy thought their tiger was "tamed" until it bit one of them in the head. To the handler's credit, this was amazing.
Yes, if it's this tame and trained wolverine. If not, then look out!
@@goukimess You do know some believe the tiger did that because he was having a stroke.
Na. U should pray
Se for um selvagem fique apavorado.
Can't believe Hugh Jackman took time out of his day to rescue you! 😍🥰❤ what a gentleman. Maybe Hollywood isn't as evil as we thought
It's amazing how strong wolverines really are!
So cool! I love the weasel family, especially the wolverine. 😍
i love the snuffling noises the wolverine made aha. what a neat animal
Wolverine "That will be 7$ for pulling you out"
Me "I don't have any money"
Wolverine "And now you have no face"
no the wolverine would be like back in the snow you guy and leave
@@theuniverse2713 "back in the snow you go" and leave! LOL
Steve has done a fantastic job at raising the orphaned wolverines. He gave them lots of attention and love just like all higher mammals need including humans to grow up to be well adjusted, mentally and emotionally happy animals or people. Humans who receive the love they needed grow up to be empathetic towards all people and other species. People can heal from childhood issues.
Wow, I never knew wolverines were so huge!! That's awesome they can save people. They should use them for real avalanche rescue :)
That has to be the most amazing carnivore in North America, endangered in many areas where they once thrived. In Oregon I believe there are 3 known wolverines, in the Eagle Cap Wilderness.
This wolverine really looks like my ferret, like if i have a little wolverine in my home, but it still an amazing animal i really want to have it as a pet
what a awesome animal…even pulls the guy out and walks his way…
so cute....America has some truly amazing wildlife
Wolverine a symbol of survival, strength, and fierceness that’s why it’s my favorite animal
You know, that is really amazing.Seeing is believing.Long live the Wolverine!Fearless of bears and wolves!
Beautiful animal! And at under 20 kg. it dragged the 80kg man like a grocery bag. Impressive.
woooow!!! hugh jackman deserves an oscar for this
what an amazing animal, the Wolverine!
That was one very nicely trained wolverine :)
Beautiful Wolverine. Smart enough to take the coat rather than the hand in his teeth. Don't know if a wild one would be so nice.
You could tell the wolverine was being gentle
It was kind because wolverines rarely sees humans. This is probably it's first time to see a human. If it felt under attack,it would've killled him
Na Verdade um selvagem NUNCA faria algo parecido, me refiro em relação a salvar um ser humano.
It's his pet, not a wild one.
Conservation of endangered wild species should include raising domestic populations to preserve the base DNA. As noted, a strain of tame, trainable animals could have benefits.
i like when he had one little wolverine hand on the outside and was reaching in, all like, "I got you, bro"
It was very exciting to see, but there's something ambiguous about "being rescued" by a wolverine: when a wolverine asks you over for lunch, you have to make sure there's something besides you to eat. I think it only works if the wolverine already knows you.
That would depend on training. A breeding program to select for human affinity and trainability would yield suitable animals (but beyond the lifetimes of those who start the project).
Searching for food IS the basic instinct around which Jasper has been conditioned and trained. But if he'd been solely after food, I can assure you that this recording would have been Casey's last.
I look forward to the day when we will have rescue wolverines to find people who got caught in avalanches.
SNIKT….SNIKT…"found you, bub!!!"
I have just watched this on NatGeoWild :) Long live the wolverine, majestic animal.
Good.
What a hero!!!
I was expecting the wolverine to say “get back bub”
Time to create the X-Weasels and make this wolverine the first member of the team. Wolverines are of the weasel family. I checked Wikipedia.
wow that wolverine is like a rescue dog, smart animal and strong
I love nature.. I understand them often more than I do my own species.
wolverines and honey badgers are my favorite animals. Toughest mother fuckers on planet earth.
Tasmanian Devil?
I think a tasmanian devil is part of the same badass pantheon, yes
Yeh there SAVAGE
I want a pet wolverine. I can picture me taking one for a stroll round the dog park
Wolverines ROCK!
I'm pretty sure that's snow, and not rocks.
Kylee Norunner Where's your sense of humor?
All good folks, and let's have a nice weekend.
Jack Theladd NOTHING IS GOOD, AND DONT TELL ME TO HAVE A NICE FUCKING WEEKEND!!!
Kevin Sørensen So your just a wind up merchant then.
Two Words: VERY NICE! It's a pity that this model will unfortunately not prevail. You would need thousands of wolverines all at once plus people like Steve to train them to be able to use them worldwide.
Nice that his food is not spoiled cause it is kept in ice
I think saying that the wolverine "wanted" to save you is a bit pressumptuous. He was prolly expecting a dead animal or food like his handler said. Though this was still a cool demonstration of it's smelling and digging abilities.
***** trained to use hes ability to find dead animal or food to save poeple caught in avalanches, its cool but doesnt mean the animal actually gives a shit if the thing he dug was alive or not.
Richard Stuckmeyer agree with that
Jop3lius
well at the end he would that the man was alive & he was still pulling
Jop3lius Well yes and no. Remember it expects to find a carcass, sure. But it is a predator and capable of killing things to eat if necessary. So that leads to the point. If it wanted to eat him, why did it pull him out and leave? Why did it save him, and not just end him and chow down? We can't know the creature's thought process, and there in lies the intrigue of it all.
drizzt102 because that's what it is taught in order to get a treat or a meal.
A lot more effective than a Saint Bernard I say! That fluffy mustelid can rescue me any day mate!
I love Jasper
Was I the only one who was absolutely speechless after watching this?
I would have never believed this...amazing. Jasper deserves a treat.
I hope they let trampers and climbers know about these animals....most avalanche-rescue teams use dogs, and having a wolverine ripping through the snow towards you after being disorientated and frozen half to death would put people into shock if they didnt know these were the animals coming to rescue them. It would be interesting to see peoples reactions, reading signs around the ski parks ect, saying "We use wolverines. Do not be alarmed o3o"
Wolverine is the best rescuer
That was pretty cool. Beautiful creatures
Crazy paws on that fur ball just beautiful animal with the power of two grown men
What a beautiful and wonderful animal.
I just love the fact that this is more or less just a giant, fat ferret.
I would think that a "rescue wolverine" would just scare the piss out of people. Could you imagine having that think poke its head in and you have no idea whats going on?
Better than a wolf or cougar (bears are usually in hibernation at that point). In the wild, those two would either A) leave you buried under the snow, or B) eat you.
Shalana Green That doesn't have any bearing or relation on what we're talking about here. Try again.
LOL unimaginable
Wolverine is just the coolest word ever
that is a beautiful and power animal...just amazing...more videos please.
With a voice like that i would have left him in there. Forever.
After jasper digs him out he's just like: YAY LUNCH!!!!!!
What an honor
What a robust and intelligent animal--truly a gorgeous creature. Can anyone recommend some literature? I'm very interested in learning more about wolverines, especially their range, environment, diet, and behavior.
That's beautiful.
Amazing! Wolverines are very vicious animals! Great!
since time began they represent the spirit of life, and the warrior, to enjoy life, and to never surrender in a battle. And to always go by the beat of there own drum. Kick ass and take questions later. The Wolverine.
I miss watching New Episodes of America the Wild please bring back the show. 😢🐺
Wolverines are so cute
I don't think they're legal to hunt anymore. Nuisance animals might get shot in defense but I've never heard of wolverine season.
Woah. Unbelievable! World full of surprises really! ❤😊 love this jesper.
So cute aww..
Beautiful creature
Wolverine is like a cross between a bear and a weasel...
Lauren Johnson Well it's the same family as a weasel.
Wolverines are the largest members of the weasel family.
Most amazing thing and Jasper is a very beautiful animal
"you are the carcass... goodbye!"
Lol! Yeah, dude...i was waiting for that thing to take a big bite out of face as he was asking it to 'help' him!!!
Gorgeous!
That wasn't like an avalanche. That was more like an igloo.
A "friendly" Wolverine I'm impressed .lol
Awwww!
The wolverine is like "awwww you're not food!"
that is truly amazing !
this is so awesome,,,
The Bug is more sincere than being human, are true and help each other!
What a cute lil wolverine
I love Wolverines.
omg this was an amazing and an adorable video!!!
Unless mountain rescue are going to begin using trained wolverines, if you begin hearing a Wolverine trying to get to you under the snow, you might want to start digging yourself in deeper
Oh Casey you are such a crazy little stud.
Wow...very awesome
That's amazing!
Incredible
The mere fact that jasper didnt take a big ol bite o your butt says a lot for his handler. Must keep the old fella happy and full
Wow! That was so sweet. I am terrified of them.
