  • Jacolby George emerged as a significant deep threat in the 2023 season, delivering a remarkable average of 48.5 yards per catch on deep routes. His season stats were impressive, featuring 8 touchdowns, 878 yards, and 58 receptions from 90 targets, alongside securing 38 first downs. Despite a few instances of dropped passes, George's critical performances, particularly his 64-yard touchdown against Texas A&M and an 85-yard score against FSU at Doak Campbell Stadium, highlighted his clutch abilities.
Deep Threats: On targets beyond 20 yards, he tallied 3 touchdowns and 291 yards.
Medium Routes: On passes between 10-15 yards, he added another 173 yards and a touchdown.
Short Routes: From passes under 9 yards, he amassed 216 yards and a touchdown.
Behind the Line: He turned receptions behind the line of scrimmage into 188 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Despite having fewer targets and receptions, George outperformed several notable players in YAC, including Texas' Xavier Worthy and ASU transfer Elijah Badger, and Rome Odunze. His knack for making defenders miss was pivotal, as demonstrated by his 12 first downs on plays where he received the ball behind the line of scrimmage.

Him and Emory were the only ones who took the fsu rivalry seriously. Jacolby brings passion and he stands on business, I’d expect him to get around 1k yards hopefully

Strep should get touched first to open up the offense then you let George take over

George is a big game player. This year he needs to play with the same intensity in every game. With Ward being QB1 i expect George to level up as a legit WR1.

Good vid. His overwhelming issue is the had the mental backbone of a jellyfish. The # of penalties he had because he can’t handle trash talk is bench worthy. Cost is huge against Louisville.

He got less targets because he plays beside the best WR in the ACC. 🤷🏻‍♂️ It's not complicated enough to require an investigative video. When he becomes more reliable, he'll get more targets. X gets most of the targets because he's the hardest worker, most reliable and has the best hands. George has a niche but he's not a #1.
