    Colt’s struck GOLD on this pick, also picked up draft picks 142 and 155 by trading back and luckily still having him available.

      And, they struck GOLD and possibly DIAMOND with the potential best defensive player in the draft in Laiatu Latu, A monumental day in Colts history. They are building the perfect team around Richardson. Now it's up to the coaching staff to get the most out of the roster and develop Richardson into a winning NFL qb. A qb who can win the big games and take them all the way. That part remains to be seen. (Giants fan btw, but super excited about the future of IND)

    • @LudiCrust.
      @LudiCrust. 9 дней назад

      Best case scenario he’s around 4th or 5th. The top 3 are well clear of everyone else. After the top 3 he’s competing with Brian Thomas & Ladd McConkey who I think are better receivers than him. I do think he’ll be a better pro than Xavier Worthy, Keon Coleman, & Roman Wilson. The college star WRs that made a living off purely their speed then rise in draft ratings into the 1st rd bc of their 40 time like Worthy has almost always bust out. Just in the last 10 years there’ve been over 10 of them that’ve all been busts. Worthy has practically zero chance of being able to beat press coverage; he’s not strong like a Tyreke Hill.

  • @aaiirssjoy
    @aaiirssjoy Месяц назад +41

    He has route pacing that doesn’t always mean going full speed but that doesn’t mean it’s just not in his arsenal anymore. There was a clip were he lulled the safety to sleep and blew by him full speed with like 5 yards of cushion for a TD. And plenty of other clips showing he’s still winning when he accelerates at the last moment and shields the ball for the jump ball win despite an easier pace at first. I’ve seen plenty of speedy NFL receivers who lack that ball shielding trait and can’t really slow down for the catch well. Mitchell is only getting better and will expand on his body control to use going full speed once in the league. His only real criticism is that he could finish his routes with more intensity/physicality and not go for easier going finishes just because he got the early separation quickly. He’s got all the polish and ability to frame guys off. Just needs to add that new dimension to his game.

    • @joey.thieme
      @joey.thieme Месяц назад +4

      This almost perfectly articulates how I feel about AD. People are overreacting to the whole "effort issues" idea.

    • @user-zv3hz4dy7g
      @user-zv3hz4dy7g Месяц назад +2

      Slowing down theoretically improves control, and its important to run with control rather than full speed all the time which can be reckless and impair vision. Kinda like kamara's running pace. he can vary his speeds and then burst when lanes open up

    • @aaiirssjoy
      @aaiirssjoy Месяц назад +1

      @@user-zv3hz4dy7g yeah more composure allows for more micro adjustments at the catch point. 4.3 speed means he can do that and hit that extra gear if still needed. I think that’s a part of why he is such a red zone threat because he knows how to maintain and release that intensity to win at critical times.

    Let's be honest here. Adonai's production would have been a lot better if his QB was better. Ewers is good, but he doesn't have great anticipation or accuracy. He doesn't need to see his guy wide open, but he does wait until he sees the window opening. This limits YAC, and has him move off reads to early. It also means he doesn't let his guys just make plays, except in "have to have it" situations. It also seems like Quinn doesn't practice these things a lot, especially the goal-to-go one-on-one type situations. If Quinn had been comfortable throwing more back shoulders and jump balls, Michell would have had a lot more yards and touchdowns. That's all the stuff before we get to all the other weapons the ball was going to. None of the other round one receivers had a situation he did. Every one of the non-qb skill position starters around him were drafted this year.

Rice is going to be gone for half the season maybe more you have to get 2 studs in this class. I mean, aside from the fact that you guys did this video pre draft and now we know he's a colt, he is not a josh Palmer type player. Palmer lineup more in the slot and replaced Allen in the chargers offense. The way Mitchell was used and now with the colts the player he will replace is Alec pierce. Low target, run down the field, and get it. This ruins his stock considering Pittman holds the #1 and downs the underneath slot position in a very low target offense with an imo unproven arm of AR who is inaccurate.

His cuts that are being compared to Devante are no where near as smooth as him that I find it hard to really compare the 2. I think both his balance and his hands will get exposed by NFL corners which is why I would not invest much draft capital on gamble.
