I actually accidentally found a black and a brown satin slip skirt at Walmart last week and I absolutely love them. They fit my 5’1” height and are so flattering. I am excited about these and also the crop trend.
I love how you link the items you actually show in your videos on your LTK. Some people link a bunch of items that may be similar, but not the same item they show. I know they may want to give other options but sometimes it’s too much. And It’s annoying because I’ve ordered something that wasn’t what the influencer showed and not what I wanted when I received it. So I appreciate that all the items you show in your videos is what you actually link to your LTK and you don’t give too many unnecessary alternatives.
Love everything! I wear a bodysuit in matching tone so if the crop sweater goes up it's no problem. love a bias cut satin mid length skirt!! Pumps, sandals,hi heel boots look fab with it! I'm 70 and will wear this look til I go to the big mall in the sky😂🪽🪽💗
I love that cooler taupes and browns are available now; for ten years or more, warm, yellowish camel beiges and cognac/tan dominated the available brown range. I love cognac for accessories, but for clothing, especially near my face, look much better in the cooler versions. Browns are such great neutrals year-round, I’m glad they finally came back. I remember trying, ten years ago, to find a brown sweater, any at all, for a beautiful brown-striped cream wool knit skirt I have, there was nothing anywhere in any brown. These last few years, navy has been so hard to find, except in that “dark navy” of the last year, which I hate. It just looks like faded, or slightly off, black. I resent how designers and brands limit our color choices so much, these two basic hues, brown and true navy, among others, should always be available. Not everyone wants either the black or one the trendy bright color, like the neon orange of this summer, that we’re limited to in brands’ selections.
Agreed! True navy is Devine, as well as proper browns, taupes etc! Black and white is boring and pastel. And neon you have to be careful bc it can look childish and neons just aren’t flattering after 40! Accessories yes, but clothes is touchè 😂

I just was looking at the maryjane shoes… Are the ones you’re wearing in the video Prada? That was kind of a surprise for me! I love those shoes, but there’s no way I can do that price point for a pair of trendier shoes!

I hated that 25 years of tunics and other long, loose tops, they totally ruin the proportions. I tuck everything in, or wear the waist-length “cropped” length that you show here. It’s especially hard to find shorter sweaters and jackets like blazers in the high-quality fabrics I want. Jenni Kayne, for example, has beautiful sweaters, but they’re all that cover-the-butt length and too thick to be tucked in. No way! Long, boxy tops, jackets and sweaters obscure the female shape, making us look like big blocks in two little-stick legs. I’m petite, too, so these are even worse on me. I wish I could get friends my age to try tucked-in or shorter tops instead of the big shirts and tunics. They are envious of my figure, but it’s really just that I’m not afraid to show mine. A slightly rounded tummy, bottom and thighs is natural and normal for women, not a flat, angular body that is for fashion models. Show that gorgeous shape, ladies🙂
