With all these new weapons, we need to be able to duel our crewmates to get better at them 👀
As long as the Eye of Reach's damage doesn't get nerfed, I don't see how these new weapons could break up the meta.
I feel the EoR true strenght should be to shoot reliably very far. As it is currently now, some people are more deadly as doublegunners even in close combat than people with other weapon layouts and this nonsense should not be.
I'm sorry that you missed out in the golden era of Arena Sea of Thieves and the large scale TDM that used to take place. Arena was a toxic place and eventually died, but if you found the right community, TDM was the best place to learn combat quickly. It's very hard now to really practice another person. Sometimes you can dive hourglass and ask your opponent to TDM.. you get some good sports occasionally.

Or are these gonna be pay to win cosmetics? After all you are closer to the developers than we are.
Because if there are more of that kind planned it could be a set back.
They originally mentioned to show experience and prestige, not money spent on the game.

RARE can we please have option to "Spar"with our crew on long voyages.. maybe once they hit 1hp the mode ends. Food for thought.
It should be a toggle option friendly fire in menu, like vote tô open crew. Then you could fight your teamates, If everyone agree.. If you Go to voyages or pvo you toggle It off.. but after It .. youncoukd duel in a outpost.. should be Fun

@@itsSteaLy Hes got a point tho, the one advantage Sloops had against bigger ships was that going against the wind they are the fastest, now with the wind caller that does not matter since bigger ships will have the perfect wind if they have the item.

recently got back into this after many years away.
I learned of safer seas and now me and my 5yo live a pirates life both safely and sometimes more daringly.
Thanks for keeping it alive this long. i was single when i first picked the game up on pre order, now i got a whole crew under me :P

Got a knife, a pistol, and tucking which is close enough to invis. All we need is a disguise kit and they have infact fully added spy tf2 into sot.

If the heavy stab is a one hit kill to the back then I can imagine people going for trickstabs while being chased like the spy in tf2. I can also imagine you getting a backstab even though you clearly hit them in the face. Good times.

@@confixilman7976 A boarding axe melee (slow speed, high damage, heavy attack makes you spin) a giant boat for more than 4 players, a small boat for just 1 players, and... i honestly forgot... I remember having a bunch of smaller ideas, which would be cool to have in the game, Ill try rememebering

A spear melee (slower attack, longer range, a heavy attack, which would pierce blocking) and a bow (shorter range than guns, requires holding the attack button to fire, buuut good damage and bleeding/slowness)
@@maksimal3498later seasons will have sorta what you want. Grapple gun and burning blade raid which becomes a player based raid when someone claims it. Not going to be more than 4 peeps BUT you get a skeleton crew on top of your own crew regardless of size
@@mistressofdreams6031 tbh, having npcs on your ship, which act as a crew (repairs, fighting, etc) would be pretty cool. However, I was talking about giant ships with like 8 players on them. Quite unbalanced, but imagine sneaking onto one and then stealing it... tbh, there should be a feature that allows you to steal someone's boat + disable player's spawnpoints on it

Honestly? There have been rumors that they are going to add Peter Pan tall tales. Which would be awesome. And it's alot more possible than people think. ALOT of people said adding PotC was impossible. Yet, here we are.

literally pointless to still have the sloop in the game, not sure why it isn't removed
@@sloopy420 lol that's a little dramatic dont you think? We dont even know exactly how useful the windcaller is for ship battles. As a sloop player you can use it too remember? The sloop still takes forever to sink, can out maneuver any ship, only need to repair one mast to go full speed, it's the smallest target to land shots, can anchor turn in seconds, just to name a few.

THE STONE CURSE IS HEEEEERE. WOOO!!! One of my favorite curses from the books. So hyped.

@@kristopfer5788There are Sea of thieves novels that expand on the back stories of characters in the game, the Stone curse is from the first novel Athena’s fortune where the pirate lord when he was alive had to save mermaid from a crew of pirates and the cursed captain who was slowly turning to stone

If sea of thieves wants to get back into it's prime it needs more updates like this one, which include new enemy types, and new ships/ updates to old ships.
Big Question: Are we gonna be able to achieve the Stone Curses for free in a later update?
If you plan on adding more curses you have to pay for it will set you back a lot. They were mentioned to be a sign of prestige and experience, not mmoney spent in the game.

So they will cost you either ancient coins or real money.
Not the stone curses, they are part of the paid plunder pass, so that means it costs ancient coins.
These are the first curses behind a paywall.

Legendary curse was free, available for pirate legends in season 1 at level 100. Stone curses are part of the paid plunder pass.
The Gorgon and Headless Horseman ship items are badass.

Can't wait to slide down that harpoon line, rolling around at the speed of sound. I mean I got places to go a whole rainbow to follow
Instead of the harpoons bieng a zipline. Add a zipline on a ring in the crows nest that you aim by moving left or right on the ring with left stick then fine tune it with right stick. You know give some utility to the crows nest
the zipline, horn and weapons are byfar probably the best ive seen, using ur own harpoon to cross with shortcuts will be very useful and i love doing stealth, so stabbing fellow enemies will be fun
As a solo/duo slooper, these scatter shots are going to be a godsend against gallions
