It's almost a year and it's even worse. The battery plug pushed in so it can't be charged - I asked for help, they never return my emails.. I fixed it by removing the plug so I could pull it out. The back flap doesn't stay shut anymore, so I have to use tape, the front lap keeps getting loose regardless of how many times I tighten it, and all I hear while driving is rattling, and there's so much more. Far better bikes out there for the money.
@@mikec4308 I got it for the speed, but I was dumb. I replaced it with a Hanevear bike that's half the price, just as fast, lighter, has turn signals and all wheel drive.
I’ve got a lot of experience opening boxes, perhaps you should have sat there and listened to a few days and agreed with everything it said and validated it. Bam. Box would have opened right up and you’d still have a tv. Great video 😂
The price is going to be it's undoing. To many options out here for that amount of money. $2500 would be a perfect price point. Especially since you can get a x class, or Revv1 that's 52volt for that price, and they both will do 35mph

Great review as always. Noisy motors are generally due to one of two things, manufacturing tolerancing of the gears or using spur gears instead of slightly more expensive helical gears. Helical gears are much quieter and have been the norm in vehicles since the 1960s. Looks to me like eBike manufacturers are going to learn this lesson the hard way.
I like this bike. I kmow the look is very polarizing. It has a very futuristic look, its pretty cool. I'm happy to see this reviewed because this is the one i want.
Ebikes are like the Wild Wild West right now. They are trying all the different things, even the silliest ones and I have conflicting feelings about it.
Agreed and 95% of them coming from China flooding the market with no support in any shape or form. Another issue is the ones from the USA are only available in the USA. But spec wise I'm definitely looking at 52v battery with dual hub motors, dual suspension and hydraulic brakes. I'm not interested in an e-bike that can't do up very steep hills unassisted like San Francisco.
@@Reprogrammed_By_SEGA I wouldn't say climbing with assist is a deal breaker for me. A week ago I bought Orbea Vibe and it eats hills in highest assist. I pedal just to give my motor instructions. The thing with pedalling is that your joints only get nutrition when they move but at the same time it doesn't matter how much effort you exert. So it's a win-win.

Same here, I live on Nob Hill and I need a high torgue bike. My current two bikes don't cut it. I can lightly pedal and get up the hill at about 12 to 15 mph, but I want to do that with throttle only. Been looking at dual motor bikes. Did you get one? If so, what did you get?

Nice but way to heavy. I modded a cheapo ebike with a Cyclone kit. 57 pounds with 3000 watt motor and 1Kw 72 volt battery. Works great in deep beach sand. That and woods riding is why I built it. That bike is great for hardpack.

Your prototype version probably does not have the final controller so final peak power is not the high as the production version. Their tech support told me they use a torque sensor rather than cadence. They adjusted the pedal gear ratio slightly to eliminate ghost peddling in production version.The completed app when released should allow you to adjust between throttle, pedal assist or both in various modes. wish the display showed watts in use. Not surprised that it is not as good as some bikes over loose sand. Thanks again for your review.

It seems like they have implemented some interesting features, such as being able to charge the bike in indoor mode. However, I have noticed that your prototype version may not have the final controller, so the peak power might not be as high as the production version. According to freebeat's tech support, they use a torque sensor instead of cadence and have adjusted the pedal gear ratio to eliminate ghost pedaling in the production version. They are also working on a completed app that will allow you to adjust between throttle, pedal assist, or both in various modes. I wish the display showed the watts in use, though. @Bikes0420 To me that is simple - charge the battery...He shows himself pedaling a few seconds in, but honestly, the whole point of a bike like this is so you don't have to pedal. Note how he never goes back from using the throttle lol - I plan on doing the same.

I received an A1 pro today and when I turn on the screen it just says connecting. Async support seems to be totally unreachable, and I'm stuck with a bike that doesn't work at all. Definitely not feeling good about this purchase at the moment

There are things to know before purchasing. It rattles, alot. I am still trying to figure out how to tighten the front lamp to stop raddling. When riding on a road all the little bumbs are felt and it sounds like the bike is falling apart (I have tightened every screw and bolt on it). The key to access the batter is UNDER the fat top frame. I already forgot I had my keys in it and lost them while riding. A smarter move would have been on top or the side. Underneath is beyond inconvenient and a very bad deisgn decision. It has what we call a "whiskey throttle." If you try to keep it at a specific speed, it's difficult. The throttle is either full on or full off, so you are constantly jerking back and forth trying to keep it at a specific speed. I have no idea how to get the fenders on this bike. No instructions are given and it's not obvious how.
What tools? Can you adjust the throttle with a tool I am unaware of? can you pedal normally without the motor outdoing you in a few seconds? Yours doesn't rattle all over like it's about to fall apart? I think it looks amazing. For sure. Hey Matt-to get the tire tracks off your floor get yourself a razor blade (razor knife kind) -hold it at an angle (less than 45°) & the smudges will scrape off super easy. Just don't push down too hard or the blade will eat the floor.

The throttle is either full on or full off, so you are constantly jerking back and forth trying to keep it at a specific speed. I have no idea how to get the fenders on this bike. No instructions are given and it's not obvious how.
Just got mine and have exact same thoughts. There is NO way to ride at a slow, medium speed. its all or nothing.

What tools? Can you adjust the throttle with a tool I am unaware of? can you pedal normally without the motor outdoing you in a few seconds? Yours doesn't rattle all over like it's about to fall apart? I think it looks amazing. For sure. @@RobertEdwards-dw7fi It's almost a year and it's even worse. The battery plug pushed in so it can't be charged - I asked for help, they never return my emails.. I fixed it by removing the plug so I could pull it out. The back flap doesn't stay shut anymore, so I have to use tape, the front lap keeps getting loose regardless of how many times I tighten it, and all I hear while driving is rattling, and there's so much more. Far better bikes out there for the money.

Hey Matt-to get the tire tracks off your floor get yourself a razor blade (razor knife kind) -hold it at an angle (less than 45°) & the smudges will scrape off super easy. Just don't push down too hard or the blade will eat the floor.

Love your review ! We don't have that much choice and variety in Eu, and some country (france, uk, belgium for ex) have really strict rules, making 90% of thoses fun moped impossible to ride on public spaces... cheers from France guys ! ps : why the tv?
