    I can’t tell you how grateful I am for this video. Ive been sewing for nearly 70 years and I’ve NEVER hemmed chiffon before. Too intimidating! My daughter asked me to shorten her “mother of the groom” dress and I was nearly ready to pay for alterations. I came across your video and once I got the Ban-Rol in the mail it took one day to measure cut and hem about 8 feet of hemline. It feels like a real success and for the first time in a while I feel proud of something I’ve done. Thanks so much!

    This is an absolute game changer. I recently took up a silk dress for my MIL (😬 yes, no pressure then!) in under half an hour from start to finish using this method! It’s fantastic, thank you xxx

    This looks like magic. I don't know how you discovered this trick but I'm impressed. Working on those slippery fabrics can be a nightmare on narrow hems.

    So awesome!!! Using this for my satin formal. When doing a skirt would you cut the length of the band roll to match the skirt hem? So you can have one continuous piece?

    I'd given up on tiny hems due to the twisting as you sewalong. Need to get some of that ban roll!
    Also I'm thinking it would be useful to for inserting into waistbands for my trousers too 🤔

      hi 👋 thanks for popping by. I would recommend using a microtex needle. these are fine and Sharpe helping to reduce the risk of snagging. thread then should be fine with all sew

    Thank you. What else could you use this on? I am thinking a full or half circle skirt of slippery fabric but would it also works on woven and knit cotton? Would you need to do a deeper hem for any reason on a dress or skirt? This just seems too easy to want to make hems any other way. I bet it would work with lace too. Thank you for making this technique easy to understand.

    • @thesewcialstudio2447
      @thesewcialstudio2447  3 года назад +1

      hi . yes you can use it on an fabric if you wanted. I did it on a Cotton yesterday just for speed . not so sure it would work or be needed on jersey though x
