Yes, of course we want more, many more tutorials showing sewing hacks, tips and tricks. Many sewists have been seriously sewing for years, and are only now becoming aware of these easier working methods. Thanks much Aida. Keep them coming. Be safe. 🤗🤗🤗😀🇹🇹💕
What an excellent seamstress and teacher you are! I have sewn for 64 years and learned lots of excellent techniques from your video. Please keep doing these instructional presentations so we can all make the most of clothing and keep those items that we can recycle out of the landfills! Many thanks!
I have been sewing for years but, you've taught me more in this tutorial on seams that I've been struggling to perfect for well over 20 years, Thank you for this tutorial you are truly gifted and have given me the confidence to tackle all the projects I’ve left unfinished 🧚🏻♀️🧚🏻♀️🧚🏻♀️🦄🦄🦄🥰🥰🥰
Always great to be reminded about techniques you don't use everyday. Thanks so much. I also run extra chain off my serger when I do a rolled hem. I save that chain for belt loops, button loops etc.
WOW Ive been sewing for over 50 years. Geese several these steps I have totally given up on like the tiny straps and shirt tail hem. but the Euro hammered step is totally new to me.
You explain so clearly. I'm a newbie, and I will use your videos as my tutorials now. I particularly like how you don't talk for ages, off topic. I know that these were a collection of short Tik Tok videos, but you put them together so well, without any waffle :) Thank you for sharing your skills!
French seams are more comfortable than seams done on a serger. I had a kid that could not tolerate anything rough in his clothes so if I made something for him I would use french seams.
I'm one of those kids grown up. I find polyester threads are really rough compared to the fabric around them, and it takes them forever to soften up if they ever do.
That loop is great! When I was 10 years old (half a century ago🤣) we made button loops, but we had several strands of the thread and did a blanket stitch across the length of the thread. Your idea is so much faster.
😁😁😁 But I'll tell you something. If I'm going to make button loops I'd do it your way. They're stronger. When I sew hook and eye, I usually make your loops! Cheers 😉
I was taught the same technique with thread and blanket stitch. I like to use embroidery thread as it is thicker. It also is a different look for garment.
Thank you so much for going slow when you show us tips. Too many try to speed sew to show off and teach you nothing! So thanks and I have sewed off and on for 40 years and you taught me something new 😁
Hi, thank you for these awesome tips and demonstrations. Do you have a video (or could you make one please) that shows us how to cut a pattern off an existing garment? Thank you.
How'd you get to be so clever? 🤓😎❤️ Thank you for sharing bc the truth is, until someone is kind enough to show us the difference, we tend to keep repeating our same mistakes. 💯
Those are all great tips and I am glad to have seen them. I am a beginner sewer and is having trouble with my Singer 2277 Tradition machine. I have not been able to stitch anything yet and is having trouble sewing a sample piece and can't find out how to correct the mistake I am making.
Chain stitch belt loops are a factory/ shipping thing to keep a belt with a dress. You’re supposed to cut them off before you wear the dress. People are seeing those and wondering why those are still there.
Yes. I feel you. But I'd like to tell you something. I have an alteration shop and my customers ask me to remove or to sew on these loops at the same rate. Some hate it and some find that the belt wander too much without it. As fashion designer opened to trends I see this as a language with different dialects. I don't allow myself to judge... well, most of the time 😉😁
the Best trick for those very thick ..8 layer Jeans hems: Use a "Microtex" Needle...has a very sharp point to go through more easily! :D ...go slowly, be sure to Increase the pressure foot Pressure to help flatten the layers together...
Where where where can I find ban roll interfacing? Thank you for all of your tutorials. I have an alterations business in Missouri USA. You have helped me on MANY occasions.
I like the change in your mom's RUclips channel's name (assuming you are her daughter :)). Actually, love the name. Hope your mom can continue making videos. Her presence and voice is missed in this video.
You don't need to preserve the original hem. After you sew a new hem, you can use coarse sandpaper to distress the edge. Make sure to get actual jeans thread for the hem.
I have really appreciated your videos. I took a beginner clothing class that made a stretchy shirt which I did not like. I do not have a serger and want to make clothes for myself because I am older and cannot find attractive and comfortable clothes. What hems do you suggest if someone does not have a serger that is just as strong so you can make items that will last. thanks
I know what you mean. I realized that after the video was up. But I made another one with a patterned material that stands out better. You can take a look at it ruclips.net/video/sA-yCz2Aq9A/видео.html
Hello and thank you for the videos,I always learn so much from those beautiful hands. How did you get the material feeding lower footrk feed so well????? Even if I don't foam backing ,it doesn't work very weell, well, see no adjumentbfoe tension screws or anything
Hi! Thanks so much for your kind words. Referring to your question, I'm not that sure of what part of the video you are referring to. Can you clarify I little bit further for me please. Thanks 🥰
Lol..all of them, and that entire video....I think you just have a good machine....I was asking "for the machine to feed the material into itself so well, did you have to adjust something....but I think it's just your machine........I've taken mine apart and out part of anyhow spring to try and make mine press more on the fabric, but mine still is not cooperating with me...thank you for your response
@@wardpottar9375 Yes. My machine is very good. Anyways, I think you could check the feed dog on your machine. Sometimes you need to replace them and/or adjust the height so they can feed the material properly. Good luck 😉
Thank you! May I ask, specifically, what would you be more interested in me elaborating hopefully some time in the future? Tiktoks are only 60 seconds haha but maybe I could expand!

Thanks so much for watching our videos!
Geneva BECKER, same here! Who knew!? :-)
Jean Hem? That gets the top vote from me. Excellent, will do that next time I need that denim authentic edge.
I love that rubber hammer trick! A neighbor taught me that 30 years ago - it's saved me so much hassle!
Always great to be reminded about techniques you don't use everyday. Thanks so much. I also run extra chain off my serger when I do a rolled hem. I save that chain for belt loops, button loops etc.
Fabulous! Thank you for very useful tips :-) The straps, loops (especially the idea to keep pockets inside of the garment, BRILLIANT!) and Eurohem.
We generally have 5/8" seams here, so for the flat felled seam, 1/4 + 3/8... no trimming necessary. Love all your tips and tricks.

Yes. It makes sense. Somehow the serger is rougher.

To go over the seam more easily put a flat button under the foot this allows the foot to pass over the seam with no problem

Yes!
Love this and newbies to sewing can learn alot

Where can I buy the Ban roll tape? I have looked on Amazon and Wawk and can’t find it. Help! Please
How much elastic do you need to eliminate, allowing for stretch, when using elastic in a waistband?
Hi! It depends on the elastic. But 2 to 3 inches is good rule (if you aren’t stitching on top of the elastic). I hope this helps.
Thank you….that’s what I usually have used over the years…….loved your presentation
Where do you get this? TIA. Love your TikTok & RUclips ❤️
