Thank you for acknowledging that "ill" is used in the UK frequently to mean unwell. Other US reactors haven't made that connection and clearly ren's music is heavily influenced by his sickness. Same as his song sick boi. When he uses "ill" and "sick" he isn't just bigging himself up. He's referencing his disease and poor health

When he mentions mercury, it's not just a Freddy Mercury reference. It has multiple meanings/references. Right before he says "I'm heavy." Mercury is a "heavy" metal. Also it is what is in thermometers... the device you use to check your temperature when you're "ill." Freddy was arguably one of the greatest... or "illest" of his craft. Both are/were literally ill as well. You could even add another meaning, not sure if intentional.... but mercury is toxic.... and affects the brain.

Thank you for acknowledging that "ill" is used in the UK frequently to mean unwell. Other US reactors haven't made that connection and clearly ren's music is heavily influenced by his sickness. Same as his song sick boi. When he uses "ill" and "sick" he isn't just bigging himself up. He's referencing his disease and poor health

The Freddy Mercury line is a pretty smart triple, bc he says "Ready, I'm heavy. Mercury I am Freddy." The flip was because Mercury is a heavy metal, the most toxic heavy metal, which goes back to the theme of him being the "Illest". And then the obvious Freddy Mercury reference.

Everything Ren puts out is a perpetual introduction. All his artistic musical creations are unique just like he is… it’s exciting, like tearing open a package to see what’s inside.💞 If you notice, even the influx of his tone of voice and emphasis placed on his words kind of had a “sing/song” sound to this rap that was so cool!

When he mentions mercury, it's not just a Freddy Mercury reference. It has multiple meanings/references. Right before he says "I'm heavy." Mercury is a "heavy" metal. Also it is what is in thermometers... the device you use to check your temperature when you're "ill." Freddy was arguably one of the greatest... or "illest" of his craft. Both are/were literally ill as well. You could even add another meaning, not sure if intentional.... but mercury is toxic.... and affects the brain.
