    Hi, I am just learning about custom listings and how to create them. I have seen a 3rd method to achieve this and that is to create the entire listing on the Etsy side and publish it without doing anything on Printify. The only time you need to do anything on Printify is to create the orders from scratch when they come in, and then import the order info from the customer from your "other orders" page. Of course, it would speed things up to have a draft order ready to go on Printify so that only the customization needs to be done but that is optional.

    Hello, I love the way you explain everything in such detail. I have a concern, when in Printify I ask to save and publish the product I made, when it is published on Etsy the screen does not appear like you, that is, it does not give me some options to configure, such as, for example, where I have to putting Made to order doesn't work for me, nor do I get the option to put the production partner, do you know why this is due? Can you guide me? In short, I don't even get the same screen as you. Thank you

    Thanks for the great explanation! Just one question that I didn't see you covered. Do I need to delete the SKUs in the original orders or does it not really matter since I'll be deleting the original order anyway?

    I have a question, please: If you choose the "Deleting Printify SKU #s" as the method for listing personalized items, can you also place your own sku #s in that area, to help accurately locate the product in your files? Or, does that not help, does that not show up in the Other Orders section? And, what are the pitfalls, if any, of doing the personalized products with this method?

    Hi! I recently came upon your channel, I'm loving the videos! They are very informative and you present it in a way that is easy to follow (for newbies) :)
    Question - should custom listings be started in Etsy first, or Printify first?
    I'm a little confused on that.
    Thank you!

    • @PODinsights
      @PODinsights  Год назад +2

      Hi! You can actually start the listing either way. If you want the products to sync to your Printify account (because you submit all orders manually), then publishing from Printify will be more efficient since it will publish with the SKU numbers for each product variant. If you don't want the products to sync to your Printify orders page (because you manually import orders for personalized products), then you don't really need to publish from Printify if you find it easier to create a new listing from Etsy. I hope that helps!

    there is a new old update on printify, should I update my store or keep it like that to sell on etsy? Distric Photo is not available to create mugs and dream juction has a low rating, what is that?, are there new providers on printify?

    Hey yes I made it to the end!! Excellent as always!!
    I saw when you were at time 23:06 selecting production partner that ‘Printful’ was an option.
    Can one select Printful for personalized Etsy listings?

    • @PODinsights
      @PODinsights  11 месяцев назад +1

      Yes! You can use Printful for personalized listings as well. Printful actually has a workflow to edit personalized orders where you can actually still use automatic order fulfillment for non-personalized orders. There is an option in your Printful account under Settings > Orders > last option under the Sync as You Go section. You can enable the option to hold personalized orders as drafts there, and then any personalized orders won't be submitted to production until you edit them.

    Hi, I have a qus Regarding group listing or multiple listings on Etsy. like unisex shirts, sweatshirts, youth, toddler, and onesies shirts. the question is and I'm confused also when I create this type of listing then how do I choose a shipping profile for these different products in the same listing? means I choose a different product from different print providers which means all products have different shipping charges. Then how do I choose a shipping profile or create a new shipping profile for this type of listing?
    In Etsy when i create a new listing, what shipping profile or create a new one to choose in the shipping option? So if customer purchase a unisex shirt they get their shipping charges or if they purchase sweatshirts they get their shipping charge. Plz, help me here. I’m confused.

    • @PODinsights
      @PODinsights  Год назад +2

      Hi! For a listing that combines multiple products, the best thing to do is to only combine products that have similar shipping costs (within a few dollars) because you can only assign one shipping profile to the listing. It's easiest to do free shipping and build the cost of shipping into the price of each product, because then you have the exact cost of shipping for each product covered in the price. But if that will make your product prices not competitive, then you will need to set your shipping profile up to balance the shipping cost. For example, if you combine t-shirts that have a shipping cost of $4 and sweatshirts that have a shipping cost of $8, you have three choices for how to set up your pricing and shipping:
      1. Free shipping and build the cost into the price for each item separately (add $4 into your t-shirt prices and $8 into your sweatshirt prices).
      2. Charge the highest shipping price for all items. In this example, you would charge $8 for shipping on the whole listing to cover the sweatshirts, and this would increase your profit on t-shirts unless you lower the price of the t-shirts to balance it out (which you could).
      3. Combine the first two options and use an average shipping price, while also building some of the cost into your products. For example, charge $5 for shipping, and add $3 to the price of your sweatshirts. If you do this, you are covering the $8 shipping cost on the sweatshirts and making an extra $1 on the t-shirts, again unless you lower the price of the t-shirts by $1.
      I hope that helps!

    If you're selling posters on Etsy and wanted to sell digital products as well as physical prints, would you create 2 separate listings for physical and digital products? Also, would it be an issue if the listings were almost identical, besides specifying digital or physical print in the titles/descriptions?

    • @PODinsights
      @PODinsights  Год назад +1

      Hi! I think you could technically sell them in the same listing (possibly), but within each listing you have to select a product type, Physical or Digital, and you can only make one choice per listing. If you want to upload the digital file to the listing so that it is delivered automatically to the customer when they purchase, then you need to select the Digital product type. If you include the posters in the same listing, you'll have to select Physical as the product type and then manually fulfill orders for the digital file by sending the download information to the customer. Etsy may also not like the fact that your listing says it's a physical product and you will not have tracking information to add to orders for the digital file. So I think it's probably easier from a process standpoint to have them in separate listings so that the digital product and physical product are each in their correct categories and orders can fulfill the way they're supposed to without manual intervention. It will not be an issue for you to have two listings of the same design in your shop and you can even create one for each and then copy it and make the adjustments to the mockups/type/description/tags to save time.

    "There we go" doesn't help me. Show me what to do to erase the background so that only the wood shows. Assume we are all newbies. Please. This is my biggest gripe with these videos that you all go too fast and don't walk through all the moves you make to design an item. Otherwise thanks for the video. Much appreciated.
