      Once the order retail value is set and you are billed from Printify the 14.99, will it ask you to pay with your credit card or you just send it to fulfillment assuming/knowing you already paid for the costs and shipping? Thank you.

    • @FixedPoint
      @FixedPoint  Год назад +2

      When you get an order from Etsy, you will need to purchase the Product from Printfy. This will be just the production and shipping cost on Printify side. If you allocated time in your production and shipping time, you can wait for the Etsy funds to get into your account so that you are not using your personal funds. It takes 48 hours or longer for some sellers. So if you are doing this method, you will need to add these days to your overall shipping time so that the customer can receive the package on the date you suggested it will arrive. Ex: If it takes Printify 5 days to get the order to your customer, being that you will need to wait for Etsy to provide you the funds after the order, you will need to add 2-3 days to this so that the order will come at the proper time. This is just an example.

    2:35 💡 Did you also know that you can save the image as a template on Printify. Then you can add a text box direct on the image.
    When you need to personalise, you just create a copy, edit the text box, and save as draft. Then switch out the order.
    I think this way it’s far easier to personalise, than editing design in Canva, downloading to device, then uploading again on Printify.
    Although this only works for me on mugs as I do use the Printify mug mock-ups.

    • @FixedPoint
      @FixedPoint  10 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you so much for your kind comment. I will need to make a video for personalized shirts, but the process will be somewhat the same. You will just need to make listing options for all of your shirt sizes (S, M, L, XL, XXL) and add price and color variations. It is really easy to set this up and you only have to do this one time. I have created a listing template on my Etsy shop so that I just duplicate the template and start there to create my new t-shirt listings. All these size, color, and prices are already set from the template. This saves so much time when selling shirts.

    Hi, thank you for providing this tutorial and this definitely helps. But would this apply when creating 12 zodiac signs on t-shirts? I have seven colours to choose from and 12 zodiac options.. therefore how can I set this up this is confusing. for example, if a customer wants a pink shirt that says Virgo in white or black font.. or a black shirt with white font, how do I set this up in Etsy and Printify? I have seen many sellers offer these options. As of now, I have the mock-ups designed and am not sure how to set up variations do I need to create separate drafts for each colour t-shirt in Printify for the SKUS? Or is it better to create separate 12 listings for these zodiac signs in multiple colours for each sign?
    Are you ABLE to do a tutorial on this?

    thank you for being so clear and step by step. one clarification question: as far as the SKU in Printify vs Etsy for personalized products, looks as if the goal is to NOT use Printify's autogenerated SKU so the order on Etsy will be sent into the Other Orders tab, correct? and also to only save in Printify as DRAFT mode. so then the Etsy SKU is used more for our own ease of tracking our inventory. did i get that correct?

    • @FixedPoint
      @FixedPoint  8 месяцев назад +2

      Yes, all this is spot on. When you fulfill the personalized order in Printify it will automatically connect the customer’s information on Etsy and provide tracking information for the customer on Etsy side as well as on Printify end. I hope this helps.

    Thank you for this video. Question - is it possible/will it work if you simply do not put your designed product in Printify at all and then just create the listing in Etsy where it will show up in Other Orders and then just select the product, add your design with the personalation and then import for production? Especially for something like an ornament? Thanks!

    • @FixedPoint
      @FixedPoint  10 месяцев назад +1

      Yes, this was work since you are creating the listing first on Etsy. However, I like adding a placeholder design on Printfy so that I can place the personalized design from the customer in the proper place. This is of course optional as you will never use the placeholder design on your printed product.

    Quick question.
    You made the template in Printify. Then made a new listing in Etsy. I'm confused because when someone makes a purchase how does it get sent to "other orders" in Printify when it was never published? What connects the two?
    My etsy store is already connected to Printify and everything. I just want to make sure I do this right.

    • @FixedPoint
      @FixedPoint  3 месяца назад

      You are just creating the design in Printify as a placeholder. The listing will be published from Etsy side, and since your Etsy account is connect to Printify, when you get an order on a listing with no "SKUS" it will automatically go to other orders tab. From there you can manually create and submit the order. I hope this helps.

    2 questions: When the Published POD item is sent to etsy it asked me the zipcode of where I should ship it from. I saw a different zipcode. (Not sure if it is Printify's) already in the system. Should I enter my zipcode instead?
    After an order is placed do I wait to get a shipping label, or should I do it before it's placed. Thank you

    • @FixedPoint

      Yes, I use the POD provider zip code. So in my case, I use Monster Digital Zip code. The shipping label is not needed, as this will be tracked from your POD provider once you import and fulfill the order. If you need more help with this, let me know.

  • @stacyosborn4537
    @stacyosborn4537 Год назад +2

    Ok-I have a few questions…you made this seem soooo simple by adding that “title” in place of a SKU # that normally is “numbers” in a regular listing without custom option. BUT I am soooo confused because this is the FIRST time I have EVER seen this done like this and if that’s all you do…I will NO longer be nervous about personalization. Others on here constantly tell us this is the way to make $ but it is time consuming and it is why sellers don’t like doing it. Every other video I have watched on personalized/custom designs and some are for groups-(maybe it is different if you’re doing groups or several options of personalization for each group shirt) they all day to do it one of 2 ways…one is to do basically what you did…create manually on Etsy first -in the event no sales happen you don’t have all the extra work by adding all the SKU’s in for each size/color (variations) manually when an order happens-OR you can add all the different variations and allow the SKU’s to be done when you publish listing so when an order comes in under “other orders” you just need to add the personalization. But here is where the BIG difference they all say at some point IF a sale’s happens we will need all the different SKU’s for Printify to know which color/size and maybe a saying for a group listing. I noticed you never done ANY of that bc you put in a “template name” you already had uploaded into printify and made the change and saved it to complete the order…you didn’t do anything else to all the others?? so-do you have to do what they are telling us at some point OR if we do what you did exactly and add the size/color as variations use the same “templet name” regardless of size or color once you manually chose the size/color as you did for that specific order on Printify will Printify be able to match that “SKU” and know what to create without a string of different SKU numbers that we literally have to do from the get go first when creating listing oOR copy/paste each for EVERY size and color after ONE order has been placed? Wow, this is complicated to write and not get lost my own self and I sure hope you understand what I am saying. And if I was adding multiple options in variations for different saying in a group listing for example Bride shirts and the main phrase Is “most likely to) and they choose “take pictures, drink too much, go to jail, etc” is that a different method all together since it’s a group/combo listing and Etsy only allows 2 different options?? So, to just summarize is this how you would do group/combo listings? And number 2 can we “name” the SKU A given template name we uploaded as into Printify and also kept a template in canva for organization and save time -and since you chose the 2 variants as size/color all we have to do is manually fulfill their request on that ONE item as you did and not have to add in all the different SKU for each color/size via copy/paste ALL for future possible sales?? Maybe to understand me better if you could watch Cassiy Johnson or Heather Studio’s personalization videos plus group combo videos-you will see exactly what I’m talking about. They say if you don’t do all those steps there is a potential issue a customer could get wrong product and also since it has a SKU Printify could by chance send them a “shirt” that actually has “custom text here, text, or an example name” whatever the seller wrote on mock up in the event we forget to go add the other SKU of next sale is a different color or size. I am soooo sorry this is long and I am sure extremely confusing BUT it’s what has kept me from not doing many although I want to do them a lot. If you could please let me/us who isn’t sure either and let us know. Ty and always so grateful for your thorough videos and replies.

    • @FixedPoint
      @FixedPoint  Год назад +8

      Great question and there is a lot here, so I will try to answer to walk you through the process.
      1. Since you are creating the listing from Etsy first, you will not have any SKUs coming from Printify. This is a good thing because the SKU is connected to the shirt that will be printed and shipped out. Being that you are creating a new design every time someone buys your product, you do not want the design that is tied to a Printity SKU to be sent out because you need to change the design to fit the personalization.
      2. The SKU I manually added when I create my Etsy listings (the SKU can be any name) will cause this product (after someone purchases this) to go to "other orders". These other orders will not be automatically fulfilled by Printify as there is no SKU number to track the product. Printify will wait for me to create this order in Printify with the proper design, color, and shirt size. All this is done manually from Printify side.
      3. When I get an order from Etsy, the custom information still syncs over to Printify- such as the Name, address, shirt ordered, color, and size. Printify does not have a SKU number to attach a shirt to the order. So, that is where I have to take that information and manually create the shirt design, and pick the color and size the customer has ordered.
      4. Once I have manually created the design and uploaded the design to Printify, picked the shirt color and size, ...then I can "import" that shirt into Printify where Printify will now create a SKU for that individual shirt which allows me to contact that product SKU to that customer. Being that I imported this SKU manually, this SKU is only for that customer- this is because this SKU has their personal design connected to it.
      5. Once I import the order, I can submit the order as I would do a non-personalized order, and everything will sync for the customer on Etsy side including package tracking.
      6. The order will also show in Etsy the tracking number and will move the order from "new" to "completed" once the item has been shipped. So there is no need to contact the customer regarding shipping time. The only reason you may need to contact the customer is to show the design proofs if requested or if you offer that.
      I hope this helps clarify and help you along your Etsy Journey. If you need more clarity, let me know.

      This also applies to personlized group listings. The customer would need to add that personalization name to the order when they purchase.

      @@FixedPoint Ty so much! You’re such a good person to take that time to help me/us!! Bless you!
      Just to clarify-I don’t ever have to go in and do all the other copy/paste SKU numbers before or after one order? Like I was saying the other YT’ers explain?
      2. Once you do the personalization do I need to delete anything on that particular shirt color and size so if for some reason a person ordered the exact size/color it won’t automatically send them the last order since it was connected? Or if I do exactly what you did in the video it really isn’t connected if I import automatically?
      This is still so scary 😅 I’m new so my fear is that a customer might end up with the mock up or last persons design. I’ve never had a personalized item ordered and I only have one in my shop out of fear. I hope I have it right! I think it is bc it was created in Etsy and not fully connected, but I would have went and done all the copy paste procedure.
      3. I know one guy now has that automatic customization aI tool I think “happy custom” but I haven’t used it. I wanted to be a bit more sure.
      So a little recap-if I do exactly what you do in the video I will be ok? Do I need to delete any sort of connection to printify/Etsy I may have connected or will it just be that order? And say another one come in I just do exact same thing? I looked for more personalized and customized group shirts full tutorials on your channel last night late but I couldn’t find one that whole tutorial or where you had to change any variations. What happens when you need more than one variation such a size, price, color and a saying? How do you set those up? Same just have the customer put more info in instead of giving them choices? I would rather add more manually right now-than go through a longer listing process for something that may never sale. I bet after all these questions-you are thinking you need to do a full tutorial video on each 😅
      Thank you again!!
      Ty so much Jay!!

      No, you do not have to copy and paste skus since you will be doing importing this design in manually. There are different was to do this, but this is my method.
      When you get an order, you will find the design template you create in Printfy and duplicate that so you can add in the personalized design. Once duplicated, you need to delete the old design and replace it with the personalization you have created.
      You will need to keep your sync with Printify and Etsy so that the customer order information will come in Printify. This is needed so that you when you fulfil the order in Manually, the shipping information is there from Etsy to Printify can send it out properly.
      You will need to pick the color of the shirt when uploading the customize design, and select the proper size and color and importing the design manually.
      I hope this helps.

    Hi!
    Do you delete the customers personalised template copy later (to avoid an excess amount of copies) or do you let it stay in your printify "my products" list

    Thanks for this video, but OMG... my head is blowing up, I watched 4 videos so far from 4 youtubers and each one of them does this differently. Customizing Etsy+Printify is a nightmare :(

      I am sure there is more than one way to launch personlized products. I guess find the method that works best for you. My method takes me 3mins max to fulfill personalized products once a customer orders it on Etsy. I hope this helps.

    In the about section followed the instructions in the video, (Another person/company - finished product - made to order) but got an error message. Also there is a line below that ask about you production partner. Is there a reason you skipped the production partner?

    • @FixedPoint
      @FixedPoint  10 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks for your comment. I am not sure what your error message is referencing. This could be based on your several things, but should not be tied to the (Another person/company - finished product - made to order) section. I have the same settings in place and not getting an error message. Double check to make sure you have everything in place. In regards to the production partner, I reference this at 9:34 as this is something that is normally setup with you first open up your Etsy shop and Printify account to sell POD products. I have a video covering this area in detail if you are starting fresh on both platforms. That video (Etsy and Printify Listing Tutorial) is clickable at the end of this video so you know the next steps. I can leave the link here if needed. Thanks again ruclips.net/video/0GgzxfJWg_0/видео.html
