- Working in a small fishing town in the Northern most part of Norway. Daily activities, hiking, spending time with the staff, finally getting some real shoes, and an update on my missing bag.

I routinely watch the skarsvag norway live cam. It's become like my 2nd home and l always wonder what the people are like and how they see the world and what they do day to day. edit: loved the video.
Oh! I've never watched that. Sound both interesting and honestly a bit boring 😂 There's not much going on up there that a live cam seems necessary ha but I'm glad you enjoy it! Maybe I should check it out 😅
I find myself checking it out a few times a week. It fascinates me to see 24-hour daylight. Their length of day is only now drastically starting to change. They lose something like eight hours of daylight this month alone. I don't know how I'd make it with constant sunlight for three months or more.
@@buckeyeschmave Skarsvåg is boring, haha. Born and raised there. Nice to come home though, maybe once a year...
I would be right at home there. I LOVE the cold and rain/snow
That's awesome! I hope you find your way out there some day. It's a rare type of person who loves the cold and rain/snow. 😀
Wow it is such a gorgeous place. This is definitely on my bucket list.
It should be! Norway is amazing.
Nice video. I like being able to see the area where you are and the people that you interact with. Thanks for sharing.
Sorry for the late response, I'm spending a few hours today going back and responding to comments on older videos. I'm glad you enjoyed this video back when you posted! :)
I think that I would visit Skarsvåg & Nordkapp - before or after Longyearbyen - Svalbard... :)
If you end up going I hope you enjoy it! There isn't much at all to do in Skarsvåg, unless you take a day trip with The Nordkapp Experience (which is a great time!) but spending some time at Nordkapp is a pretty cool way to spend a day. Do you have other stops you're planning in Norway? I spent about 4 months there and did my best to document my time with videos. I hope you find them helpful if you're still planning your trip!
@@KathrynJones My grandfather (mom's dad was a Pilot) is from Norway by origin... I seeking (following) all about Svalbard, Finnmark, Lofoten, also Iceland and Faroe Islands...
I wish (need) for calm, peaceful, quiet, remote and isolated places... Yeah, that's great, thank you - I will do it (check it out all your videos step by step)... and think that I would spent a longer time there how much can... (Gamvik, Mehamn, Sorvaer, Hemmerfest, etc. also Senja Island and Lofoten (Islands - Archipelago), other places to visit). I started to go abroad with my 3 years of age only, cause my dad was a Seaman 30+ years long, and my mom took me with her to be with dad on ship(s) and as adult I started to be a Seaman (as professional) too...
P.S.
My (late) mom told me the story about the Great Lakes, when she was there with (late) dad...
I am from Montenegro (Black Mountain - Schwarzwald - Black Forest) - small country on the South-East Adriatic sea coast.... and now waiting for to get sold my big home (house) and lot... and to do a Take Off... my late mom last 20 years been immobile (moveless) in a wheel chair between four walls... Her wish was to have a Motorhome and do traveling... so I would see what would to do... :)
I think that I would buy an big Caravan (Camp Trailer) and big SUV, better option for living (Off-grid), etc. cause there the Real Estate (Property) is very expensive to buy...
Chihuahuas are great heating pads.🐕
hmmm a little food for thought before my next trek...
very nice place
Thanks :)
very nice
Thanks! :)
Nordvågen!
:)
Can I comment?
+Robert Steckroth of course! Always 😁
