Can't believe Intel 13th gen is out already, time flies.
My 10700k is feeling ancient
I can't believe we are passed the 5Ghz mark already!
covid was 2 yrs ago time flies
Idd
bruh just got 12700
The 13600K is the true star of this generation, intel has been doing an incredibly good job on those more affordable i5 cpus.
Oh yes. Time to upgrade my ancient 4670K finally. Hope it does not sell for over 400 euros here in Europe.
Price no more affordable 🤷♂️
Any idea on when the i5 non ks are going to launch?
@@justsubscribed1323 Q1 2023
@@gallahant in sweden its priced at 4099kr which is around 373 euros. So you can probably expect similar pricing
I am impressed with how great Core i5-13600K is! Power consumption is much more reasonable and performance is still incredible!
If you're in ddr5 with an amazing cooler... otherwise it performs worse then the 7600x

13600k looks superb.
Looks amazing. I just checked online and it's $299.99 right now at my local Microcenter. For the performance and platform costs, totally worth it.
Let's see Paul Allen's 13600
It’s a beast!! 🦖💪🏽
13700k looks good too less power draw than 13900k too.13600k and 13700k should be ones gamers go for
cool, I will buy Ryzen 7800X3D😃
I'm really glad you added the 3700X in the benchmarks, it is my current CPU and even though I don't need an upgrade right now, it's just nice to really know how fast the new generations are
(Especially in valorant which is my main game)

You have become one of the only tech channels I want to watch these days! Keep up the great content! 👍🏻
Really interesting how things are looking this generation. But as someone who isn't that interested in upgrading right now, thanks for the concise reviews. :D
thanks for release the 13600K results in the same video rather than milking it for multiple videos like other channels
WOW that 13600k looks VERY Interesting.
I guess yours is the first 13600k review that I have seen across youtube. Great work sire!!
I’m now 7 generations behind, I remember getting my PC in 2015 and it was the best you could build
6700k?
Thanks for including "gaming" power draw man, no one will buy 13600K for only running Cinebench or Aida like other reviewers only caring about ignoring real use case scenario power draws
So true.
i'm going to buy 7700X or even 7800X3D
Thanks for the nice graphs & figures on power consumption, but how about relative power consumption (ie. fps/watt)? Or idle power usage?
That's awesome man! So good to see how similar they are this time around :D
Your charts are so easy to read and well presented
I'm really getting tired not having more old CPUs in the comparisons. It seems all of tech youtube know that gamers rarely upgrade nowadays and it would help out seeing how the older generations stack up against the new releases. For reference to their old system and the second hand market upgrades where you can stumble on deals. These types of videos provide marginal value in those cases.
Go start your own hardware review channel then, the world doesn't revolve around you
I'm excited for you ddr4 test video. Thanks for describing the situation well to consumers because I'm someone that use my cpu for atleast 4 years so platform upgrade is something that I don't bother. I will love some good mini itx 13600k build videos in future. I feel like 13900k in mini itx is worst thing to do ..
Do the 13th gen intel CPU's have the same issues running Windows 10 the 12th gen processers do?
I really wonder how the smart access memory affects these charts when the new amd cards come out, would really like to see it
i was going to by AMD then I saw the prices of motherboard and ddr5 and decide to wait for intel
So what do you think now?
@@mikkodoria4778 i might be going for intel but, intel hasn't announced the prices in India, so it all depends how much is the value of intel processors, still I might have to buy intel as and only supports ddr5 which is expensive and am5 socket mobo is thrice the price of 7000 series.
Im waiting for the 13400f to see if the power draw is less and the ipc lift is good enough vs 5600x
@@mikkodoria4778 Its basically an overclocked 12600k

Man...your camerawork is astonishing!!!!!!!!!!
That's a really nice wallpaper during the thermals segment, where's it from? ^^
really nice power consumption analysis, makes so clear the differences between reviews
Got my i5 12400f 2 months ago, wake me up when 20th gen is out.
Long time watcher, love your videos. Was curious, do you write/read out your material or just speak? Everything sounds so natural but still very well articulated.
I love seeing this, finally actual rivalry
Subscribed, you got by FAR the cleanest looking review score tables.
The 13th gen is really an amazing step, the CPU's are really capable and fast! Great video Ali, as usual, thank you for your attentive work!!
i have an i9 9900k and i was thinking about upgrading but not sure how much performance i will gain.
@optimum tech Can you please let me know how to solve DRAM Orange LED error on Asus tuf z690 tuf gaming D4 Mobo , Not related to this video but I would love some help
Absolute hippo had me in stitches :D nice review!
Hey, would you recommend 13600k paired with 4090 ? I am currently rocking on 5900x, but am just about to buy rtx 4090 and might have to upgrade my CPU as it will definitely bottleneck the GPU. Would love to hear your thoughts, I am basically using it for 4k sim racing gaming, (LG C1 48), VR and of course fps , mmorpg and other games using lg 38gn950-b.
Well looks like my thoughts about the 5800X3D just went out the window... Looking forward to some RAM and maybe MOBO reviews with the 13600K 👍
Man time flies. My 7th Gen i5 still chugging along.
I wonder what the idle and Windows wattages are? I know my Ryzen 3600 ate 25-30w in idle Windows as opposed to 4-5w with 12600k
I wonder why?
@@slartibartfast2649 They are tuned to be low TDP at max cpu usage. At idle, they are actually less efficient.
If paired with B660 boards, does it reach 5.1Ghz or is it just with the Z690/Z790 boards only? Anyone?
How do you get that mac screensaver at 3:25!!
Love the 4090 on an itx board. Can’t wait to see the challenge of itx cause others are saying it’s dead
Dude I always love your cinematography!
which ram was used with the i9 13900k in the video
hey! what is your benchmark method for valorant?
Very cool! Cant wait to upgrade to the 13600k. :D
I liked you were the only one comparing fairly the temps and not trying to hide the dark side
which wallpaper is the one at 4:12? looks amazing.
Hey Ali, Any info when SSUPD Meshroom S review is out?
Thank God we have proper competition again
Nice simple honest advice. Looking forward to the AMD v cache variants. I think these are what most people looking to upgrade are waiting on. Add that to improving drivers and the , hopefully, multiple cpu generational support and lowering DDR5 RAM, it looks good for another 5 years. Just having to wait for the MoBo manufacturers to start dropping the prices to stay sensible.
Well said. The ITX motherboard prices are just absurd.
are they any benchmarks for 3d cache heavy cpu on low ingame settings? all benchs i find are for 4k ultra settings and ill start thinking the high 3d cache is useless for fhd low settings (esports)
@@sheddz6662 unless you are playing at 1080p it is kinda worthless
@@ishiddddd4783 so 3d cache bringsmost performance boost on 1080p?
@@sheddz6662 yep, it's the most cpu intensive resolution, so the games that take the most advantage out of more cache are in 1080p, after that the gains are minimal or none
Wich is better for mini itx zen4 or raptor? r9 7900x or i7 13700k?
I really like the fact that both Intel and AMD are almost both pretty much identical so in the end it comes down to the buyer to decide what kinda plattform he wants to adopt to.
I just don't like the fact that it feels like both do feel like on the verge of melting because they went all in power while not improving thermals
I under volt my 7950x when I'm not doing any demanding tasks.. Otherwise when I'm ready to use my 3d applications I turn off the undervolt in Ryzen Master.

What are the temperatures with 253W settings?
Is the valorant benchmark here with 13600k using ddr4 or ddr5 kit?
Where did you find your desktop wallpaper? 😮
Hey man! How do you explain the difference in delta between AM5 and Raptor from your testing and Der8auers? From his testing it seemed Intel was pretty superior in gaming, but in yours it seems very even. Would be interesting to hear your thoughts on it! Thanks =)
Most likely memory settings. Something undisclosed in this review vs der8's
0:45 perfect shot with the Intel CPU on the early Intel colored Keyboard 😍
Do I need to upgrade if I have i9 12900k?
That 13600K is looking pretty sick right now.
Looking at the gaming benchmarks, what stands out is the 5800X3D. 10% less fps, for way less power consumption and therefore heat, and way cheaper. What this tells me tho is that when AMD releases X3D versions of their 7000 series CPUs, they will crush 13th gen.
Yeah that extra heat and power consumption isn't worth it for marginal fps gains.
@@Duuh_Eazy So close to the sun :D
@@Duuh_Eazy there are ways around that for the 5800x3d.
@@Duuh_Eazy you can still use PBO2 curve optimizer through some hacky methods, and some boards allow you to manually set PBO settings as well
The 3d vcache on top of the core makes heat dissipation less efficient so the heat is more than the Power consumption would suggest
Can I keep cool the i5 13600K with some low profile cooler? and if there exist some low profile cooler that works well with this i5 which one is? i have in mind the Thermalright AXP120-X67 but maybe anyone knows something better
without undevolting u cant. I got AK620 for my 13600k but in benchmarks and in rendering process it was throtling! like 95c in 1 second. Now im using my 13600k with LS720 320mm watercooler.

I think that this generation is where we as consumers really win. All this competition is crazy, and I love to see it.
Would’ve liked to see how 13th gen stacks up to older generations but good review nonetheless :)
do you make video about thread ripper i really looking forward to it because the way you explaining every detail is so inspiring and easy to understand
0:50 Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Intel still on 10nm? They just changed the naming to "Intel 7"
1:00 I think it's still on 10NM and it's just the manufacturing process that's called Intel 7. please correct me if i'm missing on something.
How about performance per watt?
Is it worth upgrading from my i9900kf?
13600k or 13700k which is best keeping thermals under control. Also i don't want throttling.
What wallpaper do you have 😊 ?
B760i or Z790i for gaming, no OC?
my boi jacked up!

i5 13600K vs i9 12900K, which one would you buy for Premiere Pro if they both are for the same price?
Still gonna wait for the 7000 3D chip but that 13600k looks crazy
What were the system specs?
Nice biceps. You curling rtx 4090's?
Definitely would be nice to see what CPU’s as old as the last console are like (5-7 years) but that’s insane request lol
This makes me very excited for Ryzen 7000 X3D
real question is if amd is achieving similar scores while having less temps are they at similar temps too?
Very interested in that 13600K DDR4 performance 👍
Hello optimus can you include some cooling that are good enough to cool this beasts
When are the lower end 13th Gen Intel CPU's (13500/13400) launching? Interested to see how they compare.
Sadly its rumoured those are alder lake refreshes, so might as well get an alder lake part for i3 and lower
Excited to get my hands on the 13900k with the A770 chip.
is there any news on 13400? that's the one I m looking forward to the most.
Would be cool to have power draw normalized graphs for fps performance.
So when is the i5 13400 coming out?
Plz someone can answer to my question?im rly confused which one i should choose. Z690 with 12700k or z790 with 13600k(50 euro more?) building new pc

8700k is close to 3700x in performance.
wait 13th already didn't 12th gen just came out not too long ago ? damn time flies
For those who remember the Q6600 days, the 5800X3D is truly it's successor.
Nah, you could OC the Q6600 by at least 33% higher (2.4 Ghz to 3.2 Ghz was easy on that chip - I had mine clocked to 3.6Ghz - that's 50% higher than stock) while you can't with the 5800X3D. Maybe the next X3D chips will be the true successors.
@@pkpnyt4711 you can't rly overclock any of the new amd cpus, because they are already at their maximum (wich is kinda good) so i wouldn't expect much with the upcoming x3d's

Sheesh the new ceo really did intel good
While I understand that basically the13600k and 13600kf are the same chip minus the integrated graphics card, would the lack of the graphics card allow for the "KF" model to outperform the "K" model?
No. It will perform identically! The integrated graphic is still inside the cpu but disabled cus it didn’t passed the test or have QA issues. It doesn’t affect the cpu simply bc they’re independent and isolated from the cpu cores
I'm probably gonna skip this gen since my 5800x3D is still serving me well. I'm very curious to see if AMD can turn the tables with their new x3D variants.
Still rocking my 9600k... It still performs amazing especially since I overclocked it to 5.0Ghz but the 13600k is looking really nice... (just need those motherboards to go down in price lol)

Instantly the go to buy of 13th gen for 99% of users.
And the upgrade path for people on 12400f, cuz remember, supports the same mobo
Yes! Let the performance wars begin! Honestly though, look how far both Intel and Amd have gone. Amd pressuring Intel to actually try is nothing but good for us consumers
I swear I remember it being 2020 like it was yesterday…
Why no 4k gaming results???
