I'm really glad you didn't clean up before you did the tour. It makes me feel better about gardening. It isn't so "Hollywood" video. It shows the real struggle of those lovely trees and the drama of fall leaves. I so enjoy your videos, they are have provided me with such inspiration. Thanks for doing them. I know it's a lot of work involved in the editing process (thanks Aaron).
Oh my goodness...looking at this now 3 years later and I can't even take in all that you have done to your space since this video. Especially looking into the new cut flower space. What fun! And the Aaron cartoon was hilarious :^)
The monthly tours are my favorite. No wait, all the new plants are my favorite. No wait, the new veggie garden is my favorite. No wait, the containers are my favorite. Well I guess you can tell I love it all but Russell is my new favorite 🐈 or is it Aaron’s cartoon character!!! ❤️
Haha pop up Aaron was great! Maybe a video about how to budget when planning garden priorities for the next year? What plants give you the most bang for your buck in terms of longevity/multi-use?
Bahahahaha...Aarron!! I imagine my husband has that "look" every time I mention plants. The fall colors are just beautiful! Still pretty green here in East Texas....but we're getting there.
I just love your videos and I think that once you have your baby you will be a great example of how you can still garden even with a baby. I love seeing all the wonderful fallen leaves, we don't have that problem in our garden as we are in the sub tropics, but we have year round palm fronds that fall and make a mess and squash plants.
Half the fun of winter is staying in , warm fire and planning your garden for the next year ! It will be a good way for you to get your feet up and relax as your pregnancy goes into the third trimester. It's a form of working just in a comfortable non stressful way. "Arm chair gardening" one of my favourite ways to garden. Thanks for the October update
We love it y'all's garden looks bueatiful! My husband and I got into gardning this past spring and followed you through and now we are enjoying the bueatiful transformation our plants are going through. Awesome!
Love how the alyssum grew out of its spot and made a nice white backdrop to the little green shrubs toward the outer circle, and it sort of looked fluffy.
I love closing up the yard for winter. ❄️ My yard/garden is minuscule compared to yours. 🌻 I'm heading outside today to work a bit more on tucking things in and cleaning things out. 🍁 I find doing a little each day really makes it fun. 👌 I love winter and snow and holiday time. 🎄 Have a great week.❣️
Thank you, Laura and Aaron, for the Fall Garden tour. I have moved to Florida, to care for my mom who I love dearly, but being from NYS, I miss the Fall foliage. My friends and I would drive to Vermont, stay a week just to be surrounded by beautiful color change. Now, I’m surrounded by green all year through, lol and no, not many options for colorful gardening either.
I've been living in South Florida all my life, but I moved away to Seattle, WA for a little. Now that I'm back in FL, I really miss seeing the season change in WA state. :( The weather in South Florida cooled down this week (finally!), but I know it won't last long. I'll enjoy it while I can.
Laura, you can get battery powered string lights with timer, the lights last for 6 hours. And you don't have to turn on each day. It remembers the time each day from the time you first turned it on. I hope that's helpful.
Happybidr Yes, I hope they will make a video and show those things because I would like to put up lights this year but I have never done it before, and I haven’t found any good videos on RUclips that really give good instructions and show the process of how to put up the lights and how to connect everything to a power source safely, how to tell how many lights you need, where to run the extension cords, how to attach the lights so they don’t fall or blow down, how to weather proof it all in case it rains, and all of that from start to finish. A proper Christmas lights installation 101! Lol! I’m sure they do amazing things with their property and I’d love to see how they do it! 😊
Laura the russian sage will probably give a cool structure in the winter time when it's covered with snow or frost..but of course it all comes down to personal taste. Always love your garden tours. :)
Hi Laura and Aaron! I love watching your monthly garden tours and hearing your vision for the garden in the years to come. I've been wondering for a while about your bees. Is there an update video in the works? 🌸🐝
Wonderful video! It's been a treat to follow you and Aaron through the different seasons. Look forward to seeing what life will bring both garden wise and otherwise. I live in Manitoba, Canada and we have had some snow already so anything that doesn't like cold is toast. Blessings to you 😊🍁💜
Hi lauren i am from Holland and i have a gazillion questions but first i need to say... i love your spirit and charisma and love your channel. and look forward to see you make this property your own. You have a great eye for landscaping not only garden beds and pots but the whole picture. Its a great inspiration to me. Gardening literly saved my life last may....and helped me battle my clinical depression and your channel is a big part if that so i wanted to thank you for that. You have no idea how much you help people trough live and growing is sooo rewarding. Okay.... 1 i wondering how i deal with buggs like aphids.... I have since 2 weeks massive aphids in my lily pots and sedums. they killed all the leaves and flower of my 4 sedums and I'm afraid to keep my lilie bulbs in my pots. I unpotted all bulbs and sorted them and hit rid of al the dirt in an empty garden ned...🙈 I scarped the top layer of my sedum pots cut them back to 1 cm above the soil lvl...and sprayed with rubbing alcohol with dish soap all over the soil and left over sprigs.. How do i make shure the aphids dont come back ? Is that enough or Do i need to spray insecticide or completely unpot them rinse roots and repot in fresh soil and toss old soil in my green bin ? I realy want to save them they where a gift. From a special person. 2 about the green bin.... i dont know how recycling works in the usa. Here in holland we have a 4 containers 1 for food and plant material 1 for plastic, milk and juice cartons and tins. 1 for paper and cardboard 1 for all the rest like foilwrapers diapers and....? We gave a garbidge dumb that recycles so we can bring our dirt and trees shrubs and grass sodds to a recycle station that makes compost out of it and gives that away for free in spring time. How Do you recycle the plants you pull from containers and beds? I ask because you trow away soooooo much... does that go 2 1 landfill or do you have a recycle green garbidge dump thats recycles the green waste ? and thats part 3 i can not afford to trow plants away that will grow next year and i can overwinter with some extra efford.. I was wondering stuff Like your croton and bigg ornamental grasses from the driveway pots And the many other things from containers pots beds... why dont you overwinter them or give them away.. it feels so wastefull to trow away someting that isnt dead yet or done blooming just because the season changes..i understand you have a gardening channel and people expect spring summer and fall arangements...but isnt there a way to place plants like still blooming superrunias from spring and summer in pots next to homeless shelters or preschools or any place where you can donate them and others can enjoy plants you dont want anymore. Just an idea. it would be so amazing to see them not go to waste when they have a good few more months of flowering left ..to give that to the community. I dont mean to offend i just can not for the life of me pull plants that still bloom and aren't crispy yet 🙈 im a big softy and maby more of a nature lover then i ever knew. Anyway mega kudos to you gardening while pregnant. Its a hassle for shure. Kind regards rose 🌹
So interesting to see the fall/winter changes. I never could get Clematis to grow and that one is beautiful. Don’t miss the cleanup of all the leaves 🍁 but miss the color changes.
Laura I can already see all the beautiful pics you'll have of your son in your garden! All those leaves in the Fall! Endless possibilities for photos. :-)
Love it - you guys have so much autumn work with your huge garden - I just did my tiny garden and it was 2 days solid work so can’t imagine how much there must be for you! Xx
Loved the leaves in the evening sun, Laura! They are beautiful. The purple heuchera is on my list of "next buys". I will put them in between pancake arborvitae in a round raised flower bed with a bright yellow bird bath in the center. Gaudy? Absolutely!
Love the tour! Maybe you can do tool care and updated how you plan/prioritize/phase projects and your big picture/dream for your property and how we can do it.
Hi guys, your garden and home are amazing but nothing is blooming as beautiful as Laura! Can't believe your due January and still walk not waddle!! Have you decided where the play area is going yet? Aaron your cartoon is the best!! Such a surprise and so funny, keep it up. Love and best wishes to you both...sorry 3 can't forget Russell.
Aaron wait till jr. arrives more $$$ but he well be all worth it. I have two children and they have costed lots of money but would not trade them for nothing I love my children they are a blessing. You probably want to make a place for a playground. The leaves look beautiful and I just love all the beautiful flowers they are still blooming.
Laura I had to pause this video and comment on how amazing you seem to have done thus far in your pregnancy. I'm pregnant with my first too right now, a bit behind you at only 13 weeks right now, and I am SO USELESS. I feel like I haven't done anything in almost three months so I'm so dang jealous of everything you've accomplished and how great you seem to be doing. I am even behind by a MONTH on watching your videos and I rarely do that with your channel because I love it so much. I know what you mean about having new found respect and empathy for pregnant women. Man, it's a struggle. So kudos to you and kudos to Aaron. Because it ain't easy on the partner either (in different ways of course). Also, how do you look so amazing still? GAH! haha
You are so diligent about your gardening and keeping everything so beautiful, I was wondering if you ever have time to just sit, and just breathe it all in and enjoy the beauty of it. (without thinking of all the work you have still to do or WANT to do! lol!)
Laura, I would love it if you would do a video on how you plan out your garden and landscaping. Especially how to break it down into smaller garden beds, areas, or rooms. I have 2.5 acres of land that is so overwhelming I don’t know where to start.
I always enjoy your monthly tours, and this was no exception! Thank you. We have had several nights at or below freezing here in Atlanta (yup--we went from summer to winter---pretty much) and while my coleous and a few other varities have not made it throught the cold, I have a gorgous Mandevilla that is still thriving and actually has new buds. I am renaming it "the iron maiden" plant!
Please please do a barn tour! You showed it briefly during another video and I would love to see how it's organized. Looking to revamp my storage area a little as I've collected things over the last few years.
7:21 - love the added Aaron commentary. PS - Laura you seem so super relaxed, happy and confident in this video - I mean, as always, but maybe a little more noticeable in this video for some reason.
Your property is so beautiful and I just love it in the fall. I could totally see a Hallmark movie being filmed on it. The houses in their movies are always so beautifully landscaped and have the fall vibe going on. Have you ever had your property featured in a magazine or on a show?
Save a spot in the garden for your son. You will want to make a playground area for him. My children are in their twenties and I kept their wooden swing set that has a cabin attached on my property because it just looks so beautiful with my garden. Of course they sometimes exercise on the monkey bars🤗. Trust me you will want to give him a special area he may just have his on driveway. Children are a blessing and yes Aaron be prepared to spend a lot of dough and time outside with your new bundle of joy! Keep up the good work. I look forward to all of your videos! 💐🌻🌲🌳🌷 if you are ever in the Philadelphia area you have to come visit Longwood Gardens especially during the Christmas Season.

The Aaron graffic worrying about money at 07:22 is too darn cute! Made me chuckle out loud.
Oh my goodness...looking at this now 3 years later and I can't even take in all that you have done to your space since this video. Especially looking into the new cut flower space. What fun! And the Aaron cartoon was hilarious :^)

Haha pop up Aaron was great! Maybe a video about how to budget when planning garden priorities for the next year? What plants give you the most bang for your buck in terms of longevity/multi-use?
I think that your garden is prettier in October than the other months. It is more abstract and we can see some beautiful chaos in it. Awesome!
Bahahahaha...Aarron!! I imagine my husband has that "look" every time I mention plants. The fall colors are just beautiful! Still pretty green here in East Texas....but we're getting there.
The last scene with all the leaves on the ground is magical.
I love Aaron’s caricature in this video. So much fun!!
I love watching your channel.
I just love your videos and I think that once you have your baby you will be a great example of how you can still garden even with a baby. I love seeing all the wonderful fallen leaves, we don't have that problem in our garden as we are in the sub tropics, but we have year round palm fronds that fall and make a mess and squash plants.

Those ornamental cabbages look wonderful and right for the place you put them. I think they stay good even under snow. Thanks for the update.
Love how the alyssum grew out of its spot and made a nice white backdrop to the little green shrubs toward the outer circle, and it sort of looked fluffy.
Hahaha. More Pop-up Aaron, please 😄
I wanted to see Laura plow through all those leaves at the end! I think it looks like a leaf pile jumping paradise for a kid or any kid at heart.
You should have your own HGTV program! :)
I agree! A couple of RUclipsrs that I follow have been featured on HGTV. It's time for Laura to get on there too!
I second that!
Do they even do any gardening programs any more? It seems like it is all real estate and home renovation.
Love your garden tours and loved Aaron's cartoon! $$ LOL
Thank you, Laura and Aaron, for the Fall Garden tour. I have moved to Florida, to care for my mom who I love dearly, but being from NYS, I miss the Fall foliage. Just the motivation I needed to go outside and flip my compost pile, plant some more spring bulbs and clean up some leaves!
Laura, you can get battery powered string lights with timer, the lights last for 6 hours. And you don't have to turn on each day. It remembers the time each day from the time you first turned it on. I hope that's helpful.
Great tour. Would love to see a tour of inside your home maybe at Christmas time or any time would be great!
Always love the garden tours! Happy Fall! 🍁
You guys should do a video of how Aaron wraps the trees with the lights!!!
Kendra O I agree. What products do you use to attach all the lights to the various surfaces (house, trees, roof, etc.)
Okay......that was just too funny Aaron😆😂🤣Great tour Laura🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁💛
Laura the russian sage will probably give a cool structure in the winter time when it's covered with snow or frost..but of course it all comes down to personal taste. Always love your garden tours. :)
Great video guys. Aaron, you should do a "Where,s Aaron" (Waldo) in your long video's. 😁
Laura you look so very beautiful! Just glowing and filled with pure fall magic hour sunlight!
Pop up Aaron was sooo cute and had the same reaction as my husband! 😂 How do you deal with slugs?
UGH I CAN'T WAIT! 2018 is going to be such a productive year, and I can't wait until the next garden tour! I look forward to these SOOO much!
Enjoyed. After seeing the lights in the tree I am so excited for the Christmas Tour!!!
Enjoy all your videos. Can't wait to see the winter lights!
WHOA! New camera!? .....very HD-ish ;0) Beautiful time of day to film! Thank you!
Hi Laura and Aaron! I love watching your monthly garden tours and hearing your vision for the garden in the years to come. I've been wondering for a while about your bees. Is there an update video in the works? 🌸🐝
Oh my goodness! I was major shocked with how bare the Ash Tree is now!!
Wonderful video! It's been a treat to follow you and Aaron through the different seasons. Look forward to seeing what life will bring both garden wise and otherwise. I live in Manitoba, Canada and we have had some snow already so anything that doesn't like cold is toast. Blessings to you 😊🍁💜
All of those golden leaves in that yummy golden hour light look gorgeous!
I'm only a little over 7 minutes in and had to pause to tell Aaron how much I like the cartoon Aaron..hahaha...too funny!

Great video!! What a charming fall tour! And I love the little figure of Aaron popping up!
Those cabbages looks soo much bold and stunning💚. Really inspires me and helps me when I design stuff for my garden💯

Beautiful autumn color on your weeping willow!
Lol, love the Arron commentary! you are an amazing couple!
Attracting birds may not be a good thing with an outdoor kitty. Love the tour (especially the Aaron cameo!).
I loved Aaron’s cartoon 😂😂😂 the garden is beautiful!
Im so excited for all the upcoming projects!! :D Happy Halloween!
Aaron your cartoon was hilarious. Love the fall garden, but way too much work sweeping up leaves. Is there a remote leave collector invented yet?

Video quality is on point!!
Love your garden tour the fall colors are beautiful!
Great video! I'm so excited for all the new projects. Can't wait!
I'm def stoked to watch the Year of Trees. :D

Very nice garden tour, your property is so beautiful.
