Love that you initially give the name of the plants. . .then again after you present the detail of it, you always again repeat the name. Other gardening channels give the name only once before the details then (if I like it) I have to rewind. Thankyou!
I try...that does not always happen....lol
I love your animation in these videos. You bring a smile everytime. Thank you for sharing, I never really thought about having a grass, now I will.!! 💖💖🎶🎶
You are so welcome!
Oh man… what a great informative video! My favorite plants in my garden are the grasses and I learned about a few more I need to add
Glad it was helpful!
You are phenomenal.
Great walk through. Thanks a lot.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video. Thank you for sharing!🌿
You are so welcome!
Enfin, une information exhaustive, qui m'évite des erreurs pour mon projet. Merci et bonne journée. 👏
Great video Michelle thank you. Your store looks lovely. Your last falls garden is so full and beautiful, the best kind of advertising imo. LOL!
So glad I came upon your channel!! Hello from zone 5a Cape Breton, NS. Another great video. Thank you!
Thanks for watching!
Thank you so much for this informative video. I have clumps of extremely over grown warm season grasses, and finally I know to replace them with cool season grasses to avoid the dreaded middle die back.
Another great video! Another grass we really like is the little blue stem grass in our zone 5 garden.
Yes....I like that one too...I will need to plant some, I had them in my other garden.
Just came upon your channel! Your energy is very fun to listen to! I'm in Wi zone 4b. Thanks for the videos!!
Awesome! Thank you!
I love the texture ornamental grasses add to the garden.
A few of the varieties you highlighted are in my zone 4 garden.
I saw a great pairing displayed at my garden center of Karl Forster and nepeta. I'll be duplicating that look. Luckily, I can shop in my own garden.
Wow great video on ornamental grass. Your knowledge is truly appreciated. For some reason I’ve always killed grasses in my yard… it’s good to know they should not be fertilized. TY!
Excellent video. Thank you so much. I live in central Florida close to the beach. I wish we had your zone here lol thank you so much.
You are so welcome!
12 years ago when we moved here, they had several grasses planted. My husband dug them out because the copperheads wanted to live under them. So I'm not allowed grasses, and I'm ok with that.
Oh my...well no copperheads here...but if that happened to me....well there would be no more grasses at my house either.....
Excellent information : Good idea to have the " name " of each ornamental grass on the screen when you are introducing :) Mahalo. Well Done !
Thanks a lot
Love ornamental grasses. I have Cheyenne Sky and Mr Goodbud sedum planted 1 year ago. Grasses were tiny but by keeping them well watered during the long periods without rain here in Iowa they have grown to about 3 feet. Lovely. Wish I could attach a picture
Thanks for sharing! Those sound lovely!! 😀
Thanks for the video. I love the movement that grasses bring. My favorite now is Japanese Blood grass. We are about 90 minutes south of you and wonder if you have any.
We are actually sold.out of that one for the season ☹️
So my hubs likes watching your videos with me now 😅 I wondered what the pink flowers behind you. I use grasses allover and just split 2more this summer for new beds. I also bought a white striped smaller grass that is a spreader but I use it in urns and flowers as needed.
The pink flowers were in clip at 2:45 I think, behind you.
That is pink gaura. I don't remember the variety ...I planted it this spring as an annual.
@@gardeningTLC I am zone 6a and can plant Gaura as an annual but I have never seen pink. It really popped in the video and I have a garden bed that is distant and needs flowers with heighth. Did you grow it from seed?
I mean I can plant as a PERENNIAL!
No. I ordered it in from my annual grower this spring...they sold like hot cakes....i found they did better in the ground than a pot though, at least for me.....wish they were perennial...i have white perennial ones, but not pink.
Great info on the grasses. Can you tell me what is the flowering plant behind you (tall with bright pink flowers) in the beginning of the video?
Pink Gaura
Thanks
Which of the grasses can I overwinter in my big porch pots 24×24? And the care ie watering and cutting back? Thanks!
These are shade until 4pm then hot sun.
If they are in a pot the rule of thumb is they need to be 2 zones higher than the zone you live in. I don't know about cut back if fall or spring is better as I do not grow grasses in pots...And water, i'd say at least once a month unless they are frozen solid....I have never over wintered them in pots outside. If we have grasses left not sold we cut them back and hold them in a cold frame hoop house.
Maybe I'm the only person who doesn't know this but, when is memorial day? I'm not American so a month would make more sense for me.
Oh, I am sorry. It is the last weekend in May
