Would LOVE to see PW grow a plant and name it "Laura's Enthusiasm", because, well, no explanation needed. XOX! Laura, what would a plant look like if you created one? (Color, shape, size, texture, etc.)

Every day that begins with Garden Answer is a good day. We are on vacation with our wee grandchildren in Tobermory, Ontario. Now, they too are hooked on your videos. When we sit down for breakfast, they say “can we watch that garden lady this morning, Nana?” The answer is always yes, and they watch just as intently as I do and ask all sorts of questions. I think you do this when you are talking, standing in front of a pretty back drop. It would be an opportunity to chat about what you love about a particular view and what you hope it will be in future. Hope that makes sense! Was always bringing in flowers from the garden for my Mom. :-) Vis a vis your comment about wet root ball, he used to add his fertilizer to the hole, then fill the hole with water to let it sink into the dry earth, plant his plants, heal in, then water again for it all to join together. Another step if you ever need it. :-) So love your information!!

Each year I add some different perennials - I'm hoping it all overflows with beauty when the next spring season arrives! 👏👍Loving the journey! The progression of your space inspires and is coming along so perfectly, your placements, color combinations, how tall, how wide, how many🤷I love to watch, learn, be inspired - as I share your love and excitement that gardening brings to all of us like minded souls!!

Hi Laura and everyone! I just love these three grasses! I recently learned how good these perennial grasses are for butterflies, other pollinators and little song birds too. They provide great cover from the sun and predators! Laura would you consider doing a garden tour of your grasses sometime this season, perhaps in Fall? I would so love to see what you've chosen as companion plants for your beautiful grasses -- I get so inspired by your eye for color and depth of plantings!

I love ornamental grasses. Especially Karl Foerster. We have so many different kinds in our landscape, I wish I could add more. I mean I think we have somewhere around 113 different ones. And it takes at least 3 weekends to cut them down for the next season. Yikes I wish there were ones that stayed green and you didn't have to cut them down.

@Lisa Cariglione ~ WoW!!!! 113 grasses🌾🌾🌾? You must have a prairie-looking acreage. I bet it l👀ks AMAZING! I can't imagine having to spend 3 weekends to shear them all back, though. I'm tired🥱 just thinking about trimming them all.😂🤣😂🤣🤪

Do you have any experience with Liriope Muscari Evergreen Giant? Not really a true grass. I bought two... do they spread a lot? Im using it, as well as Chlorophytum, as a ground cover for a tropical-garden to be. Would be really helpful if you can share yoyr experience.

Lisa I would dearly love to see a picture of your grasses! I'm trying to move to 'slightly less maintenance' here on our acreage and grasses are the ticket (except for Fall as you stated). I have 6 varieties and love them all.

It’s never too late to start taking pictures. You could make a list of vantage points and start taking pictures now, even though it’s not from the very beginning you will still have amazing before and after shots of this beautiful space. I’m trying to take my own advice with documenting my quilt projects. I need to start with my current projects rather than trying to start at the beginning and get caught up!

Since most of these grasses are good for zone 9, you got me thinking about where I can put some. :-) I think it's really important to have that texture, and there's enough color variety to make it interesting!

I’m glad she showed the Apache Rose that she planted last year. My garden is pretty small and I was contemplating putting one of those in but was afraid they’d spread like crazy. Hers looks like it’s pretty well behaved. Does anyone have experience with Apache Rose taking over in a flower bed?

@Heather W. ~ spreading/self-seeding was my concern too🙋🏼‍♀️. That information is important, to people with small lots. Hopefully, someone knows and can let us know.

Really bad drought here in southeastern new england, never seen so many plants suffer so bad, watching your channel is like garden therapy to a point lol. recently my mom has started watching with me, i've been watching for like 7 something years now myself. Was just talking about needing more ornamental grass, hope to find some of those soon, or some like it.

I love the blue grasses those are awesome! I commented on a video the other day too but I would love to see the horde of plants you guys have in pots, waiting for projects. Maybe give us a teaser of where things might end up or just your thoughts of some of the plants you have stored away and showin us how you’re keeping up on the maintenance of those too. I think it would be a fun video to see. Thanks! Love your channel!!!
