the randomize function is one of the brilliant thing on a synth. 1 you have infinite sound 2 you have the possibility to learn how to reach some sound looking at the knobs.
@@PeterPrism A poorly coded randomizer can of course also produce an infinite number of crappy sounds, so I don't think randomizers are a brilliant thing per se.
GSi Krill Synthesizer app / plugin just got a randomizer added in a recent update. (Please note that the dev now goes by the name Genuine Soundware on the AppStore). Here I demo the random function, mention some possibilities for quick tweaks, review how musical / usable the randomized presets are, as well as briefly reviewing the synth itself, and quickly demo roughly half of the factory presets. Midi was recorded from 4Pockets progressions into Ooda by Ryan Robinson / Audio Symmetric. Yep. I'm looking for the "far nicer." Music is all about musicality....not noise. That said, there was a time when both synthesizers and myself were young and I was attracted to the new, weird sounds that Bob Moog's devices were creating, at the time. 😊
Love randomizer functions - for the most part. When they don’t rattle your ears too much. TB Flowtones comes to mind as a good one.
Thank you for Demo and pointing out the possible reasons for silent results
Cheers Tom!

Yeah they're a great learning tool
@@GavinskisTutorials 3 and if u’r lucky the sound is damned good and goes fast in the favorites !!!!
Indeed.... In this case I think it mostly needs more than 3 tries 😂

Great synth 🍄👍🤖 Very cool videos, your list is huge now ! 👍
It's not 'Doug' huge 😂 but yeah, there's a very decent archive to explore 😉
I really love the randomise function in apps!
Who doesn't!
Love it 👍🏻
There is often great beauty in simplicity. 😊
Thanks for this vid!! This one maybe isn't for me but I appreciate your video as always!!
Cheers Dan!
Thanks Gavman
Pleasure Kev!
Lo bueno es que el “randomizer” es inmediato, instantáneo. Por eso mis ganas de automatizarlo con un lfo con forma de onda de S&H!
Mela 3 could use a randomizer!
Ask Niko - he's very open to suggestions!

I like weird stuff too tho!
@@GavinskisTutorials Yep, weird is good! As a fine art photographer, I tend to subscribe to the idea that, the weirder, the better! :)
Seems to be a cat on drugs screaming generator
😂 👍
Hola Gav! A la función “randomizer” se le puede asignar un modulador como LFOH! O mLFO? Para simular un Novation Bass Station con el modo Aphex Twin
Randomizer is not available as a Auv3 exposed parameter. Maybe request the dev adds it?
@@GavinskisTutorials seeeeee, todos deberían hacerlo!
Se perdieron una venta ahí.
Gracias por informarlo!
