Oh Jay.....such a profound honest conversation. My husband and I have been giving everything we have emotionally and physically to caretaking my 89 year old mom. Though I love her, she almost sucked us up. With some mental professional help, we started to set boundaries that were being crossed and not respected..in your words....giving until we almost die. We stopped everything social and are now beginning to reclaim "our" time and delegate more. You are among an elite group of us people pleasers who relate, understand, and are making changes. I have a coach as well who has really helped me to say no more with no guilt. You are right on target!! Congrats!

This was very beautifully said, and for me, it felt pertinent, wise and centered. I really appreciate the insights you share as you journey towards deeper contentment; and it is extremely satisfying to have the opportunity, as a patron, to participate in what is essentially, an exchange of energy. What a lovely gift for all. Nothing else is required. Thank you!

    Jay,
Thank you. So well said! Boundaries are sooooo essential! I have found that the best people get Boundaries. And if they don't, they ARE the ones that I need to let go of.
Thanks again Jay! Keep up the good work!

I remember a period where both you and I were in a whole lot of trouble. With both of not able to say 'you are welcome' and 'thank you'. That Dutch thing: Cut to the chase and tell me what you need.

So happy to see another episode. Also, LIVING for the title. Sometimes, you want to say yes just to thrive and survive.

Very nice episode . Good job 😊. I have the same experience with people (un)fortunately . Take the good leave the bad.... and move on. Learning from those shaped me in a better way. Albeit becoming to direct sometimes 😂. Growing up doesnt stop in your thirties ...😊

Let’s just say a lot of us were taught to have no boundaries and this notion of ‘quiet selflessness’ is very abused.

And very important you can learn good things from bad people. People are who they are. If they are not good for us its not they are bad they only have a different path. Good job in realising. Growing up is hard . 😂
