Yes i have it! beautiful and very detailed set, for display only, not for play because of the vegetation (little pieces). It lacks a big pirate flag IMO... It's more a rock Island but i think Barracuda Bay is better
I like the set a lot! It has plenty of details and fits perfectly to the classic pirates line. As @patricklecrane9646 I miss the pirates flag, but I guess that this was due to restrictions of the designer program (and I have some spare flags that may eventually decorate the set). @BricksPlanet: Thanks a lot for making all these review videos! I like them a lot. They always have good humor and a small story. And they bring back a lot of good childhood memories 😊

This is basically Lego greenlighting and funding a limited run set by an advanced creator. The detail on this build is crazy and I think really only designed for AFOLs so the limited run and high price are going to coincide. With that said, I have seen this available on Bricklink "sealed" for around $280 with shipping, which makes it still a good value if you look at price per piece. Design alone is wild enough to make that a good price. Not sure how much value these "official" MOCs carry, but it is definitely one to consider stashing. Unfortunately it also looks like a lot of fun to build and offers a ton of different ways to display.
@@BricksPlanet It looks like its only made for display. That is my biggest concern with these really massive custom sets, is they just don't have the same sturdiness as the next tier of official sets.
Thank you. I will do some Pirates sets from 1996 and maybe one another Lego from Bricklink designer Program. I have also some Western sets to do. We will see :)
I think it's all what you value. I have kids, and it feels like that sometimes with what sets they are interested in. I feel like I pay a premium for inferior versions of Lego because the theme is what sells it for my kids. At the same time, they are learning some pretty interesting ways to build with these bricks, and eventually they will have some interesting parts to work with when the original theme no longer is important. To be honest, I'd rather spend money on Lego than 99% of the other toys they ask for, even if a lot the options geared towards their age are overpriced. No matter the set, they are just more pieces to be used in the future for something creative. They also just like building new things, so a bin of Lego sometimes has way more value to them anyway. Just having bags of colored bricks of different sizes is enough for a lot of what they want to do. Adult marketed sets are far overpriced, especially Harry Potter and Star Wars. Thankfully I don't care very much about those 2 to worry, but they did hit my wallet with the Pirate sets, and will likely do again with the Castle and Space remakes.

Love Ominous Isle. Personally not seen it be as fragile as some have said. I did add a few more figures.
@@patricklecrane9546 Yes it seams to be inspired by Rock Island Refuge 6273 :)
Amazing video! It was wonderful to see my design come to life!
Thank you for your comment! It was pleasure to work with this set :)
That's a great set! I hope LEGO makes one similar...

Yeah! That will be great :)
That looks so good. I wish pricing was announced. If its less than I can get this one for, I'm jumping on it ASAP.
legos are too expensive :S
