I am so sad that succession is ending but I would like to say that Connor Roy was interested in politics at a very young age
Don't be sad. As they say, you can't make a tomlette without breaking some greggs
the conheads are gonna be devastated when they hear about this...
At least we know Connor and Willa met online
Bwahahahahahha
i love jeremy strong talking about anything
I love that they are finishing on a high! Jeremy Strong is so right about the characters completing their arc, I hate it when shows drag on with no character development so I trust the creators here to know when their characters are at the finishing line.
4-5 Seasons is the sweet spot for shows. Have finality and telling networks "when it's over, it's over" makes the writing process much more intentional. I'm sure they'll look into spinoffs, but the main show should always be great from start to finish.
3:13 "that'll be sad"
Now Alan is sad.
When a show ends it is sad. Every show ends one day. In this case, it is Succession that has done so.
@@sankarsshanansundararajan8829 😂😂😂😂
oh my god, I'm not sure, maybe I'm just reading too much into it, but you can feel the genuine sadness, when he says it
i can literally listen to jeremy strong talking for hours
Narcissists are enchanting
@@adshar20000 he is not narcissist
People get tired, I understand why he would want it to be over. He's incredible in the show.
i love that nicholas braun is literally greg
Lmaoooo seriouslt
He's like I hope we're not Game of Thrones! LOLLLLLL
@@SuperRobertoClemente Same thing I was thinking as he was speaking he was Figuratively saying Game of Thrones
He started off Answering like Nick and then turned into Greg at the end 😂
this did not age well
They’re all so real I love them
I think it's the perfect time to end it because it's not a show that can drag on, but man I will miss it 😭😭
it’ll definitely be on some all time list
it might just be me but i feel like jeremy actually sounds relieved that it’s over, he sounds different and looks lighter. might be the fact that he’s not wearing brown in this lol
He’s an insanely intense actor. It’s probably a relief for him when any project is over and he can go back to normal life.
I put myself through torture in stage plays with method acting. For decades. I finally quit doing that when I was about 48. Didn’t need it anymore. It is unnecessary.
Cousin Greg afraid to turn into the next Game of Thrones
😂😂you caught that too
He seems different than usual here, he typically comes off a lot like Greg but here he seems like a different person. Odd.
His delivery of the GoT reference was *chefs kiss*
Nicholas 100% blinked, shook his head, and totally Greg'd out there because he did not want to mention Game of Thrones by name lol. No doubt about it.
😂😂 exactly what I thought too from his look and words...lol...he's so expressive
I've always known Sarah Snook is Australian - but by golly does she CRUSH the American accent.
I haven't heard her fuck it up once.
I would've watched 10 seasons of this, but i respect their choice
What Nicholas Braun said made me very nervous. God, I hope the ending isnt poor.
the writers are too good for the ending to be bad.. but i definitely think it’ll be a controversial one seeing how they’re talking about it
@@pissypamper7789 I hope it is, nothing worse than a "fan service"-y ending
They’re all gonna hug and give the money to charity!
Omg I love them (and the whole cast) so much! I am not ready to say bye to this Masterpiece show, like ehm..ever?! :D
They are one of those shows, for sure😊
Rewatching S3, I noticed that Shiv actually referenced Knausgård in the shareholder meeing episode, about how she imagined Tom would spend time in prison. And then you think about the fact that Jeremy in real life has said that My Struggle is one of the most influencial books for him.
I just looked Knausgård up, sounds interesting. I am glad they decided to change the titles for German language as I would not ever buy a book here called "Mein Kampf" (for obvious reasons)
@@sisiwasabi81 Is that book illegal in Germany? We had it in our school libraries when I was a kid (in TX). It was presented as like a research thing. Not really like part of the curriculum or suggested that anything about it was good. Although there are certainly very many racists in my rural area.
he is so me (big knausgaard fans)
@@citizen_wayne Mein Kampf was banned in Germany until 2016 when it entered the public domain. Owning the book is no longer a crime.
@@citizen_wayne yh right ”research”
Succession is excellent. I will miss it. Looking forward to the premiere tonight
Just the best shows..and I laughed so much 🤣 😂 😆 I will miss it..GREAT ACTING BRAVO 👏🏿
Alan Ruck is the man. Doesn't get enough credit.
Alan looks so good in those glasses
I really thought this show wasn't for me. I started the first episode like 3 times and was googling "when does it get good" (as a foreigner I just don't understand any US business stuff and lingo and things were just flying over my head). But in the end the characters won me over with how horrible they were lmao! Their relationships and dynamics with each other are so fun to watch and I'm super happy I kept going! Let's hope for the best finale season 🤞🏻
Homeboy has gone to some really dark places as Kendall Roy...
Yeaaaah I bet he’s exhausted, poor guy
This show could have easily went on for 8 seasons at least, just coming up with more and more foils and situations, but it would have watered down its legacy, more than likely.
Now so far we have an absolutely incredible season of TV and it just feels big time and significant. Easy to take Jeremy Strong out of context here, but he is right and it is said in a loving way.
It is a GREAT show and will always be recognized for that. There is amazing writing and acting (individual and ensemble) in this series. People will turn to this as an example of excellence. This is not one of those shows where we (or, at least, I) end up saying, "Enough already!!! Just end it, for gawd's sake!" I know they're going to be smart about how they end it, too--no b.s.
Only just got into this and binging. I am highly critical of series and hype but I found this randomly and loved it. The script and twists were brilliant. It could be up there with breaking bad. Billions should have ended when Damien Lewis went and went on too long. So this is good even if sad.
As Brian Cox said in an interview before, Strong carries his character in a way that can be truly tiring and exhausting as his process is more method acting. To weigh these emotions, external and internal conflicts and be in that frame of mind consistently even after the Director yells cut would be exhausting for anyone.
i really hope the finale is good
top 5 best show of all time
Another level..
Cool
Nick would be perfectly cast as Bob Odenkirk's son. So many similar facial gestures.
Nicholas Braun talks about a massive amount of good stuff, I hope the ending includes an Attack Child.
anyone know what shirt Jeremy is wearing in this?
I don't care how Jeremy feels, frankly, I'm not ready for it to end.
Succession successfully succeeded in becoming successful and while I will miss the show and the characters, I'm glad they won't drag it for too long
I love this series and it’ll remain one of HBO’s breakout dramas for YEARS to come. Much like the ones were still watching from 2000. And it’s because it knows when to end. It’s a story that doesn’t go for 10 years like Friends or 12 like Big Bang Theory.
It’s not a casual viewing experience.
It’s high end entertainment.
He’s saying 10 years from now ? Nah… People will be streaming it in 2040 and falling in love with it. Few shows have that ability. When you’re considering it’s impact on future generations and capable longevity before it’s final season has even aired in its fullness = you’re answer is wrapped up in that. It’ll be amongst HBO’s top dramas for a long long loooong time!
Congrats is in order for Sarah Snook on her pregnancy She’s going to be a great mother
yes she seems like such a sweet person 💓
bro this show is a fuckin masterpiece!!!
I love all of the characters in this show hopefully there is a spin off!
Nah, it doesn't need one
Just started watching this show and I wasn't expecting Shiv's voice to be so thick in real life😅.
I can honestly say that this is one of the best television series I've ever watched.
My only critique is I wished Greg had shown more growth as a character. He's been the same for every season. Other than that, it's been an excellent ride.
You’re saying it like it already ended. I’m sure Greg will develop a lot more as a character by the end!
Well no he’s become a lot more corrupt like suing green peace. He acts the same but has now realized his awkwardness and stuttering makes people see him as an idiot so he uses it to his advantage. He’s blackmailed many people
Most shows working at this level of writing and character development should only be 3-4 seasons. The only way to keep it going is to introduce more and more characters, but have an overall plan from the beginning
Why is Jeremy Strong actually Kendall Roy? 😅
hard to tell if he is or if he just gets into that zone when he's filming the show and doing the press runs for it due to his 'method acting' (I put it in inverted commas as I know there a lot of people who consider it pretentious bullshit but whatever he does, it clearly works).
Oh god I love Sarah Snook. Her American accent is the best. She should just use it forever ❤
I'm not 😭🥺
he looks kind of gorgeous with white hair
I kind of have no idea what’s going on half the time but still don’t want it to end lol
Someone tell Jeremy a funny joke and give him a hug
Jeremy Strong's way of speaking, articulation and body language is kinda like Jordan Peterson.
mad men, bojack horseman, sopranos, succession
Jeremy Strong: (breathing)
the internet: he's so pretentious and arrogance
Legacy wise yes, this will be more highly regarded than Game of Thrones - who ruined their whole legacy with a horrible finale. You know that Jesse and Company will not do that.
together with sopranos best of all time.
Nicholas aka IRL Greg, on the ending - "I just hope everyone is OK with this. They're not arguing with us for the rest of...time. We'll see if we are one of those types of shows" *shakes head and blinks like crazy*
We all know you were talking about Game of Thrones, Greg! It is safe to say we won't see Nicholas Braun in a Targaryen wig anytime soon lol. Although that would be pretty good. Daemon's assistant.
Seems like 3 seasons too soon
Succession is a very entertaining show but it literally has no plot so I'm glad that they are not dragging the series on just for the sake of it.
Exactly!!!
Yep Succession is an all timer
Only good show left on TV!
💔
dude looks like he walked off the set of Dune
It could go on 4 a while longer & still be kept interesting. But I suppose @ some point it would just be more of the same takeovers, backstabbing, in fighting, & "fuck off"s. Finish while you feel it's strong enough.
It would be a joke. It’s enough family drama the firstvtwo season were great the thrid the writing was still good but the storyline itself it just shaky
Everyone is sad it’s over except for Jeremy strong, his coworkers must really love him lol
I imagine he's difficult but his methods clearly work as his performances have been another level. I actually quite liked seeing Cox taking the piss out of him in real life about his method acting, probably helps with the tense chemistry between the two of them in scenes.
I think his response was poignant.
Sometimes as writers, it’s important to know when to end. He feels his character has fully developed, so continuing the story may jeopardize a well told story. We’ve seen it happen many times before with shows going on longer than it should.
@@Radiance230 exactly, he wasn't saying he wasn't sad it's over just that he feels it has come to a natural end which is fair.
I forget Sarah Snook is British. MAN, she's good.
She's Australian
@@sauce1232 My bad!
Lol ofc he’s happy i mean he does method acting as KENDALL ROY. Lmao 😂
Whoa, whoa, whoa....Sarah is British? I thought she was an outstanding actor, but now, I don't know how to describe how amazing she is. I was totally fooled. OMG. I want more Sarah Snook! Time to hit IMDB to see what I missed her in!
She’s Australian!
@@gabi-ed3uq She’s amazing. I just discovered that David is Scottish/Welsh. Amazing, all of them.
Nick 😭😭😭😭
I mean, someone else could always pick the show back up in the future?!
Beeeeeetch I did NOT know Shiv is English. lmao those UK actors always have us Americans fooled!!
She is Australian
Does Kendall unalive himself because it does seem something extreme
Connor Roy was interested in politics from a very young age.
The Conheads are definitely gonna love this
This is a show that HBO can make a movie out of it
Wtf she’s Australian? She’s had no idea… or that Tom is English 😂 what a show!!
NAUR SHIV IS AUSSIE
I know another name for this interview: Beige Nightmare.
Jeremy Strong's ready for it to be over bc everyone's raked him across the coals for his method acting. :(
Give it a couple of years and we're seeing a follow-up season.
I strongly hope Greg; not another game of shit pls
why does jeremy strong sound like AI
This is bad news 😢
Where are my Geri simps at?
Unfortunately for some of them this could be their last gig if not forever but at least for a long time…that’s acting you win some you lose some.
Greg will be forced to pull out his copies of the Cruises scandal papers and blackmail his way to the top. Tom will be his gay lover
Jeremy strong is such a weirdo in real life
glad they ended at season 4, shows are only good for 4 seasons tops before they start to fall apart and write in stupid stuff
Jeremy Strong is Kendall.
The characters..in their constant disconnect with basic humanity..made the show feel dry and monotonous.
logan dies
Shiv is crazy. Out of a bad bunch, I think she is the worst. Zero self awareness.
No Jessy Armstrong, BRING BACK SUCCESSION
Just kill off Kendal if he doesn’t want to play anymore, find a new character!!! 🙏🙏🙏🙏
shiv is not funny
You could have condensed this series into one season with a few more episodes. The story became very redundent in the second season.
the cyclical nature of succession IS part of it's appeal
That show is boring as shit, don’t get the big deal.
I enjoy it. But I respect your opinion.
Jeremy Strong is just like Kendall Roy in real life blinded by his how arrogance.
at what point was he blinded by his arrogance in these clips?
he’s literally just talking?
I don't know what the big deal about this show is. I kept hearing about how great it is so I bought the first season on DVD. I made it through six and a half episodes before I just couldn't take it anymore. The writing is horrible, the acting is almost as bad, none of the characters are likeable, I do not believe for a second these people actually run a huge media conglomerate or if they did that the public would care that much about them, everyone is just ugly.
@@appleman1000100 -- all the characters are stereotypes with no backstory. The Culkin dude is so annoying, he's like a cartoon jester just there to be disgusting and rude, serving no purpose in the plot and contributing nothing to the fictional corporation he's supposedly part of. Shiv is suppose to be some expert on running political campaigns but when does she do that, it's never shown. In the seventh episode the guy starts drinking again but I was like who cares because we're never given any real backstory on him to begin with. It's never explained why the older brother can't find a wife other than that prostitute; I mean, he's terribly wealthy and not bad looking, why can't he just find a real woman? The first episode introduces the asian dude that's merging with the company as if he's going to be some major part of the show but then he only appears like two times again in basically cameo appearances. In one of his appearances he's with a boy-toy even though there was no suggestion he was gay prior to that or why if he's so successful and gay he wouldn't have an actual boyfriend or husband, just some disposable boy toy to take to dinner. We're suppose to believe the guy's college friend just has billions of dollars sitting around to save the company from the bank take-over, but how, why, really? That guy has billions of dollars sitting around? This show must pick up in the next season because I literally can't stand watching the first season, it's so boring, implausible and unbelievable.
Tbh any answer or explanation for questions wouldn’t advance the plot of the show. It’s rly not that important to know why the Asian guy can’t find a husband or how the friend made his billions of dollars. I think you should keep watching because the show gets better.
@@AG-hd6se -- well thanks for your opinion but I think it's totally necessary to understand character motivations in order to get engrossed into a show. I still have the last three and a half episodes to watch. I doubt I'll do it any time soon because I literally had to shut the last episode off in a rage quit, it was so frustratingly pointless. Shiv is about to have an affair with that creepy dude with the big eyes right smack in the middle of her father's fake therapy session. Why? Like literally in the last episode they spent the night together and supposedly didn't sleep together although that was completely vague as well, so why all of a sudden is she going to leave her husband at the therapy get together and go cheat on him? It's out of character. It doesn't make sense. What is this new trend of making shows and movies in which none of the characters are likeable. The only character I half-like is Strong's character and only because he seems to be trying to do what's right but continuously keeps getting shafted by the erratic, nonsensical behavior of the rest of his family. It's as if the show is really about a bunch of sleazy used car dealers who are mentally ill and think they are rich and own a huge powerful media giant, but in real life they are uncouth peasants wearing thrift store clothes unable to understand how civilized society operates. It's like watching Always Sunny in Philadelphia if that show was totally not funny and instead they went around doing stupid stuff and saying stupid things but taking it all seriously.
@@cjlaity1 it’s important to take entertainment lightly and not to overanalyse it. Even Shakespeare’s work can be wrought with implausibility
Sarah Snook is only 34 or 35. Looks 50.
??? not at all
Jeremy strong is so pretentious
he's an actor...but in all seriousness, it's important to have the down to earth artists and the self indulgent pretentious ones too, great art has been produced at both end of the spectrum. Whatever Jeremy does it has worked as his performances were exceptional in this show, would I like to go for a pint with him? Probably not lol.
@@dddgtsd a really good and interesting point actually
@@dddgtsd yeah I admire his work a lot, but I'd probably shoot myself if I was locked in a room with him for a day
I love when a show ends at a good time. There’s no need to drag it out. A good ending is always proper 🤍👍🏻
