For my money, RK is a close 2nd to Prince for talent, musicianship, & musicality. Just so badass! And Dylan is such a dynamite bass player! Seriously, this dude should be huge and hailed as one of the great talents of the last three decades. Kotzen is so beyond the usual contrived rock we're fed nowadays; he plays SO many different styles. Great songwriting, unbelievable playing, amazing voice... it makes me sad he's so marginalized in the rock scene.
IMHO Richie is better than Prince as far as stone cold musicianship goes but I would agree that Princes musicality (better song writer hitwise) was top notch! Absolute respect to Prince RiP

Richie Kotzen, always a stellar performer/composer... to be expected. Bass Man? Fucking PHENOM. Keeping up with Richie's arpeggiation up and down the fretboards, with heavier gauge strings ain't an easy-peasy walk in the park. Props.

I LOVE this man's brain! The lyrics that come out of it, his musical abilities, and the three of them together are amazing! I love the bass player who has mad skills as well and the drummer! I love everything about this. In my opinion, Richie does not sound like Chris Cornell.....he sounds like Richie Kotzen....rock, soul, blues, and a little jazz thrown in...his raspy voice is so not Cornell, may he Rest in Peace.
Message to all artists:Richie is a true example of do what you want and be successful !.write,play etc what u want . don’t what a company tells you or thinking what could sell,. richie has more than 25 records being amazing doing worldwide tours every year being his own boss so be free and be yourself don’t go with the tendency and be one more lamb ! This song never be in the top of billboard with Bieber Rihana etc but wow I prefer be like Richie all the time than be a tendency so many artists gone just because mtv don’t want to play them because they never repeat their one hit wonder .

We all know what an amazing talent Ritchie is. No taking him for granted, that's once in a lifetime stuff right there.
What I want to especially praise here is the bass player though. He not only stays right with Ritchie but actually passes him in places with tasty fills to boot!

That groove is SICK, then the melodic chorus kicks in.....WOW. He put together a killer band with this. Bass player is as in the pocket as Richie, and the drummer is mature (and smart) enough to stay out of the way of those riffs, and just play for the song.
This is great. In my opinion, Richie Kotzen is one of the most underrated and prolific rock singer/songwriters around. His great vocal and writing talent is often over-shadowed by his outstanding guitar playing. Not that that's a bad problem to have! It's always good to hear guitar-based music with catchy choruses.

Kicking arse....again. Thankfully RK has NOT found fame and fortune, and sold-out to commercially. One of the best guitarists on the planet IMHO. And I've been lucky enough to see him play relatively up close and personal (well, about 15 feet away) both with this band and the Winery Dogs. Hoping to do the same in Norwich, UK on the 23rd.

Godzen i agree perfect nickname for Richie but i heard that before and it’s awesome of so many people call him “that” in differents locations of the world just because it’s so obvious he is a god he is amazing ,he is great ,he is powerful he is a creator all by himself ,plays all in an awesome level like in his song “paying dues” and in so many records I remember some interviewer in Spain call him “ the perfect man”!🙊🙈
