    very nice job! one upgrade to these cabinets that I have seen is adding a "T" to the air line and adding a blower attachment to the new line; that way, you can blow off the parts once you are done with them and it makes cleaning them easier

    Nice, but it seems cost isn't a problem making everything out of plywood.

    That’s so cool! Such a good size, lighting and extraction. I’ve got a tiny one which i hate, need to upgrade

      Thank you! I had that same small one, very hard to work with and can fit only very small parts. With this one I can blast almost anything I need. We'll see now the plywood holds over time... I can always bolt some sheet metal from the inside to protect it, but for now it works great.

    A few minor tweaks.. Larger mesh to prevent dropping items into the bottom and perhaps a small shelf to put things up and out of the way..I knock things over constantly even without reaching with gloves and a hosed attachment.. Ear protection? Those compressors are kind of loud..That's being kind. ;)

      Thank you for watching! Yeah, I just used the mesh I already had but will definitely upgrade. Thank you for the tips!

    Nice project! Do you do some kind of sand recirculation?

    • @RestorationApprentice
      @RestorationApprentice  2 года назад

      Thanks! What do you mean by sand recirculation? I just open the valve on the bottom to take the old sand out.

    • @buundy
      @buundy 2 года назад

      @@RestorationApprentice I mean some way to gather the old sand automatically and feed it back to the system. Like this one: ruclips.net/video/Fzsv3T_mKys/видео.html

    Vey nice build. Excellent use of Zip tie Wizardry! I'm just curious what your finished dimensions are on the cabinet and how are the ergonomics working out for you?

    • @RestorationApprentice
      @RestorationApprentice  3 года назад

      Thank you for watching! Working area is around 150cm x 70cm or 50cm near the front. Sorry, what are ergonomics? English is not my native language.

      @CraftwerksMC 3 года назад +1

      @@RestorationApprentice ERgonmics = comfoert and proper height during use so as to not cause back strain.

    • @RestorationApprentice
      @RestorationApprentice  3 года назад

      @@CraftwerksMC I see... I'm not a tall guy so it works great for me but you can always add some kind of DIY platform between the cabinet and the wheels. or if there are bigger plywood boards available where you live you can use that. With this project, I was mostly concerned how will plywood hold over time, but so far so good... and you can always bolt some sheet metal in the back to save the plywood.

    • @RestorationApprentice

    Question how much was it to build that?

  • @negueba235689
    @negueba235689 3 года назад

    just the plywood you used is at last 60$ in my country. I want to build oen like this as well, but it will cost 3-400$ i think for all materal and parts.

    • @RestorationApprentice
      @RestorationApprentice  3 года назад +1

      I'm not sure about the actual number, but I feel it's not even near 300-400$. I also used sand gun from my small cabinet I didn't use any more. Plus, this one is huge... New ones in similar size are astronomically expensive.

  • @elliotweaver5805

    Omg, between plywood, paint, hardware, screws, lighting, wiring, and other, you could have bought 5 blast cabinets from harbor freight!!

    • @RestorationApprentice
      @RestorationApprentice  2 года назад +3

      Closest Harbor Freight is about 4000 miles from me. :) and this one is huge in comparison to those they sell.

    • @RestorationApprentice

      It all depends where you live, but definitely not at this size. It costs hundreds to make and thousands to buy.
