I have 2 suggestions. Put a submersible water heater in the basin so you have hot water and add a rust inhibitor to the water, so parts don't rust right away after cleaning.

Yeppirs, excellent work there. An abrasive option for all surfaces would be Baking Soda. Works very well and bounces off of rubber and actually cleans bearing surfaces. To test the amount of soda to add, i would suggest using an old wheel bearing (needle bearing style) with micrometer measurements before and after. Then test a ball bearing style the same way to adjust the water-to-soda ratio. We melted 6 K-Cup microscreen filters together end-to-end and used as inline return water filter to keep debris from going back into the pump. Nice job my friend -- good luck!

Use a dirty water pump because it wont be damaged by the blasting media in the water. The compressed air is what gives it the power but might need more air flow?

This will help dissolve the oil residue 👍 I would use a different type of pump... a impeller pump like that is high volume / low pressure and if you reduce the pipes like in the video volume and pressure go down because of the impeller.
Are you just using straight water to blast those parts. Need a filter in your sump pick up.. Not bad. That's a cheap way to make a high pressure washer. What kind of spray nozzle are you using?
Watching this brought to mind Albert Einstein's maxi - make it as simple as possible, & no simpler. This was very quick & easy to build -if you know how - & cheap. & effective. What more could you ask for? Try wiping the view-port with dishwashing liquid to avoid misting. Or rub it with a cut potato.

Super quick easy method of cutting straight lines in drums, 1 quick drill hole as starting point, then broken hacksaw blade in a reciprocating saw... quick, no sparks, easy You can even cut reasonable curves due to relatively narrow blade depth
Definitely a cool idea, to build and film it, but... My God did you let some parts go for WAY. TOO. LONG..... Please, for any other videos in the future, Edit some up the more tedious and boring parts out. I don't need to watch you use the grinder for 10 minutes doing the same cut maybe, 10 15 seconds and then move on to something else I fast forwarded a lot of your video because of that. I'm interested I want to see but you need to edit that stuff out If you want to keep people coming back to your channel that is. Take care hopefully you took this as constructive criticism. 👍

Why are you using the grinder backwards, are you trying to hurt yourself? Sparks should be flying at you. That means the grinder is trying to run away from you, not trying to attack you.
How is he using it backwards? He could have been shoot the sparks away from flammable materials or something. right way to use a grinder is the way that gets the job done, and the first thing you do is take the gard off and throw it in the trash
There are times when one must use a grinder in an unorthodox situation. However, your comment suggests you have logged minimal grinder hrs. If one is trying to push or drag a cut opposite of the tools intended operation, the kickback or tool failure is almost certain! Cutting wheels are weapons when they come apart. Machines don't care about your meaty digits, your feelings, or your life!! I've seen lots of bad things happen to guys with grinders/machines/tools who knew more than engineers who designed them! But hey, you do you and may your fingers grow back faster than most! God bless.

Put sand in with the water
@@Swanlord05 sand will damage bearings and mating surfaces! only thing i would add is maybe some cheap detergent to help break down oil and grease!😀
