- This talk was given by Swami Sarvapriyananda on the occasion of Sri Ramakrishna's birth anniversary on 10th March at the Hollywood Temple. Swami Sarvapriyananda was the Assistant Minister of the Vedanta Society of Southern California in 2016.

this is my personal experience, when I was burning with revenge feeling, I did meditate in front of Sri Ramakrishna portrait and one day I was freed from such feeling and I felt new life in me

I too am a follower of Advaita from Christianity
It will be a heaven when the people of India develop the reading habit 📚 with an open mind. That includes citizens from all religious communities and none. India must have her own Enlightenment Values/Age of Reason.
Let's not divide us in nations or religions, as what we study itself is Advaita ; non dual 😄
I remember those days,almost,30years back,when I used to run madly taking a bus to RamakrishnaMath, in Bull-Temple Road in Bangalore to have a Darshan of Ramakrishna and Sarada matha,offering myself into their lap,as a small child,visit the rock, sanctified by Sarada matha,getting awe struck to see the huge auditorium, and a big Bookstall. Going around itself was a spiritual journey for me, hands and feet outwardly tied down to a family. Never did I think that one day I come across such a Spiritual gem like Swameejee who is Samanvayam Personified! I offer my humble Pranaams at his holy feet.
Swami Sarvapriyananda is a living example of how you can improve your life and transform yourself to being a better human, look at his features, its serene, calm and enlightened. Well received and respected.

@sreeram goutham which religion do u belong to. Religion is but a medium to attain spirituality. Don't betray ur nationality by spreading hatred. Christ and Christianity is something which many devout Christians still don't comprehend. Whatever is my scant knowledge of the Holy Bible and the noble life of Jesus Christ, am simply bowled over. Jesus never taught division, he taught love. So love all and hate none. If u still believe in the thoughts expressed above, Ramkrishna Dev will still love u and deliver salvation.

just went through the comments. some people seem to listen to the talk just to find faults. if they don't agree why do they listen? or do they comment without listening? that they don't try to understand is evident
I see no problem with people listening and expressing their views even if it doesn't match with us. The Swami himself says to do that. Om Shanti 😀

I always love to tell my friends that the origin of the word HUMAN is HanUMAN. Nobody believes me and that is fine. I am happy to compare (my) Self to Hanuman regardless. It's all about Love indeed and Hanuman certainly represents that vision of Love very well.

Disciple can't comprehend the greatness of master.
But disciple overshadows the master due to media coverage.
Even now, not many know who the master is.
Disciple has been charismatic, but the master has seen God.
I have met one such master and found him to foresee into the future.
Before leaving his body, the master transferred his shakti inside naren..master himself was working in the world as naren and secondly Sri ramakrishna used to call naren as the narayana incarnated..only the ignorants see difference between the master and the disciple..

Sorry that I am listening to this after so many years of publishing. Just to brush up your memory , in the talk you mentioned that before you went to usa you were in Belur math and one rkm Swamiji told you about this gentleman whose letters are published. Three things inspired him, last of which Nos Ramakrishna.
Being an Indian and growing up there, I felt that indeed 90% of the people are crazy about religion but only 5% or maybe be much less are crazy about spirituality.

I respect Sarvapriyanda Ji . I feel sorry for him for comparing Ramakrishna with a man like M K Gandhi on the birthday of Ramakrishna. Swami should be very careful about comparing Ramakrishna with any other person.

Son, please do help me ,I spend lot of time washing idols,their utensils etc and as I have household duties to be completed I in a hurry chant mantras of ganesh,shivthakur, Narayan and ma lakshmi etc and that too my attention is focused on other things as by this time I'm getting late .i m not satisfied but don't know to manage this as I have lot of idols/thakurer murti..
I am not an expert but I think Idols are just tools of worship.... The idea is to find the divine within you or to experience the divine presence through meditation or worship.... To find love and compassion.... But as Shri Ramakrishna taught us the divine is as true as the Maya that surrounds us.... The Maya is equally important.... So we should give equal importance to life and happenings around us.... We should do our karma and find pleasure and happiness in the journey....

You can try but secular materialist will tell you to keep your God to yourself religion won’t completely disappear because it makes 94 billion a year tax free not that it benefits the devotees but more the non believers they will easily quickly capitalize on the beliefs of people
