Post facto I realise, I have engaged in projects & activities in keeping with the teachings of Swami Vivekanand. I did not study the Upanishads, but I now realise, I have lived it. As I await His call, I express my gratitude that I had been blessed with the opportunities to serve. This gives me happiness & lightens the last leg of my journey.
I have tremendous respect for the Mahatmas who simplify our ancient philosophy and explain it to us in terms we can understand and use. However, I would earnestly request the enlightened Swamijis to also talk about how we need to reject prejudices and blind following of practices like forbidding women in temples, animal sacrifice, etc, and also how much harm we do to ourselves and society by succumbing to weaknesses like greed, lust, jealousy, malice, hatred, etc. It is only the Mahatmas who have the power to motive us into wanting to be good and do good to others.
