I have a jeep grand Cherokee limited today, but probably the best of all the vehicles you were with was the 83 Toyota 4x4 truck. I've had a 1986 and a 1993 and these little trucks will go anywhere and have wonderful ground clearance.

He just added AC to it so its much more comfortable to use in the hot summer trips now. Dan is the original owner of the ol gal!

13:38 in a case like that: If you have man power, you try to slide the truck or you drive with the back tires under shovels and you can slide the car. Of course there is no guaranty, specially on sand.
The last one is a tactic that you use in the fire service to move cars with broken steering wheels.

Thought about using a jack and dropping it sideways to get more in line with the opening but I think my fear of really getting it wedged won over. Luckily it was not the big of a deal bypassing.

Sorry if this is already asked and answered, but what kind of truck do you have? I see it’s an F-150, other than that what are the relevant specs?

I had to turn around and the rest kept going. Luckily it was just 2-3 mile back to another road that ran parallel to the slot canyon and I went to the other end and drove a lot of the way back to the narrow spot until I caught up with the group. I want to try this again some time with my new awning being more tucked in and I plan to get better sliders I might be able to pivot off of.
