I'm absolutely loving Arkham. I'm quite poor and only have a switch due to the generosity of others. I've wanted to play asylum for over a decade and finally getting my chance.
Exactly the people who are hating on the collection expect the switch ports to mirror the console versions that are more powerful but the people like me and you who like it are happy because we play switch and are use to this the game looks as good as it could do on switch they did there best and I’m glad the trilogy exists in general knight has a few bad frames but if they fix the Batmobile fps the game will be worth buying for any switch owners but I bet most switch owners will be fine with this trilogy because they are use to games being underpowered on the switch

I agree too it’s not bad wouldn’t play Arkham knight but asylum is my favorite and city is awesome too seething these games on the Oled is fire now idk if they patched it yet but asylum and city have some Minor frame pacing issues where the game stutters now i don’t know if it’s a bad port reason or unreal engine 3 being wacky on switch but other than this it’s pretty good and the Og graphics in my opinion are better then return to arkham
I grew up with only a ds while my friends had high powered consoles. So now that I have a switch I’m completely used to underpowered bad games and don’t bay an eye
I really like all the Arkham games. Arkham Knight is actually my favorite of the series. The use of the Batmobile never bothered me really. Arkham City the second best

Bought this today before watching the video because its on sale digitally for $35. Also just bought the physical version of Borderlands 3 ultimate edition on Switch for $30. I know full well that it is going to have hiccups and the graphics aren't up to snuff. That being said, I am hopeful for a Switch successor with backwards compatibility and some sort of upgrade patch like Xbox does.
I always get a kick out of people talking about how awful the Batmobile play was/is, people practically begged Rocksteady to add the Batmobile & then complained about it constantly.
The collection is fine but many bugs are present especially in arkham knight theres 2 that make collecting all the riddler trophy impossible in the port for arkham knight switch needs to be patch badly

I was VERY impressed by how well all 3 run on switch and the Arkham knight looks a lot better than ppl think. It will not look like even close to ps4, but it is fun. It’s a dream of mine to have Batman legitimately and cheaply on the go is achieved, got it on sale and hope for stability patches in the future but I’m pleased.
I recently purchased the trilogy a few weeks ago. I have beat Arkham Asylum and Arkham City and I am playing Arkham Knight right now. I don't know how Arkham Knight ran it launched but it looks like it has been at least somewhat patched because I find it perfectly playable. Only the very first driving Mission had huge noticeable stuttering. Once I got past that mission everything else has been pretty steady as far as frame rate goes. There is the occasional frame rate drop. I have only experienced to crashes in my 20 or so hours of playing Arkham knights. This game is getting way more hate than it deserves on Nintendo switch. It is perfectly playable. I haven't experienced any frame rates that really affected my gameplay for more than a second or two at a time. Usually only when I'm driving the Batmobile at full speed. So far I'm enjoying every second of Arkham Knight on Nintendo switch. Anyone who was hesitating buying the trilogy on Nintendo switch can rest easy knowing that arkham knight is perfectly playable and the first two games are really good versions. I really hope Arkham Origins gets ported to Nintendo switch.

I personally haven't experienced any game breaking bugs. Let me know how it goes. Lower resolution than the earlier two games but other than that it should be enjoyable.

You are correct. All three games are playable and you just have to accept the low res on Knight. It's only a handheld console for goodness sake, and an ageing one at that. It's a game that didn't run too well on the PC either because it was so unoptimised at launch. For me, Arkham Knight is the best in the series and when you play it on the right hardware which is just about any PC today as everything is now fully patched up, it looks incredible! The ultimate Batman experience.
Honestly I don’t mind bad graphics and unstable frame rates maybe it’s because I’m used too it but I think Arkham Knight was pretty good and with a patch on the way they might make the game look and run better.

Well it’s often not full price on other consoles, so I think waiting for a sale is still good. But I just got it for $30 on Switch, so that feels like a fair deal.
Asylum and City working great, just like OGs. Enjoyed them so much during Christmas days. Knight is trying it's best, but switch can't handle it. I can't complete Riddler side mission because of black screen when i brought him to GCPD (earlier there were invisible walls in front of two of his trophies). Hope they will solve this problem soon.
I thank all the hotheads that cried about the game. Just got it on sale. I just don't understand people obsessed with framerate and not taking into account how amazing it is to play these games on the go!

I have a pc and a switch and have these games on both, and I play more on my switch because I can play where ever I want. Laying down, standing, or sitting. Unlike my pc where I have to sit in a chair. Also Arkham city on the switch oled looks very good asylum is a bit weaker but still very good as well.

im contemplating on icking it up today. i dont care about graphics or any of that BS. i mean hell, im playing mk1 on my switch and i love it ever sice the 1.9 patch which fix almost every issue. as long as the game runs smoothe and i dont have trouble with frame drops when whooping someones ass im fine. are the frame rates decent in the game as of now? because they can always be fixed with patches and updates. is the combat pretty smooth and how bad is it when driving the bat mobile and gliding throughout the city?
Just bought it for $24 bucks at the eShop. Wanted to get the physical copy, but it's very hard and expensive to find in my country. I still have Arkham City and Arkham Origins on Wii Um but I really missed playing Arkham Asylum, and for $25, plus getting City again, I won't complain for Arkham Knight xD

Yeah I agree aside from Arkham knight the only issues that I hope gets resolved is that there’s a lot of stutters in Arkham Askyum and city that I hope get resolved idk if it’s a switch port thing or a unreal engine 3 thing
Finished the game almost liek 10 years ago with arkham knight GOTY on the ps4. around 5 years later the game releases on the switch and I thought to myself I AM NEVER GOING TO 100% THESE GAMES AGAIN, GOD THOSE RIDDLER MISSIONS. But then I finally went and bought it last week on the switch and i just ran through most of arkham asylum, skipped cutscenes, and finally it cam to arkham knight which surprisingly ran on the switch FPS IS bad dont get me wrong but the experience stays the same
I own the arknam knight is good on switch my only issue is frame rate it’s very inconsistent. Is mainly worst on Batmobile. I still play it it’s still enjoyable but frame rate outside Batmobile but mostly 20 handheld and docked it’s all over the place between mainly 20 -30 mostly at 25 tbh. Playing dlc content like Harley’s story run at what looks like a decent 30 frames but its most in the open world you see the issues
I think the biggest complaint about the whole trilogy is its price for the outrageous quality they you get, I know it’s “playable” but how high are the standards of a nintendo supporter to cope and say “this aint that bad lemme spend my hard earned money for a half done game” like I think most people need to avoid this port for that very reason so yea I think that’s the main issue here😅 idk would love to hear what yall think
Tf you talking about? Each one of the 3 games sold at $60 individually. This collection gives you all 3 for that price. Second, only Arkham Knight suffers in quality while the other 2 games run fine. Thirdly, Arkham Knight runs in an acceptable state despite what others say. The fact that NOTHING was sacrificed other than visual fidelity is quite impressive for how massive this game is. Yes, it looks ugly, yes the framerate dips at times but irs mostly consistent. The Batmobile stuff works too and is not unplayable. All in all, Knight has been the only game I've been playing on the trilogy because I've already put in so much time with Asylum and City that I wanted to focus on Knight as the only game I havent played. So believe me when I say, the Knight port is far more impressive than it is disappointing. Every time I'm playing it I am just amazed that the whole game is here. I see some garbage looking textures and I'm just like, "ah, that's how they got it running. They sacrificed this random piece of a building here to make everything else look or run better." This wasn't a lazy attempt like the Metal Gear collection. I shame anyone who buys that. Konami literally just ripped the HD collection and threw it together offering ZERO enhancements. That's why it's not optimized on Switch cause they're lazy as fuck. There is no reason the Switch can't run a fucking PS2 game at 60 fps.

I think the first 2 games run perfectly fine on switch but man arkham knight i just dont even know if im gonna play it unless its on my pc lol to me, it keeps crashing constantly and my switch is pretty new so i dont think its a dirty gpu/thermal paste issue

I have not played the trilogy on the switch but seen a ton of videos and reports of it Asylum and City seem to be running good (not great but good), Knight on the other hand is just unplayable in my opinion. FPS during Batmobile sections down to 16, most of the time in the 20s, and every 0.5 seconds it jumps around. Knight should have never been ported to the switch, downgrading a graphical demanding game is just a bad idea for the Switch, thats not why the Switch was made. They should have just put Origins on the Switch instead of Knight.
I’m pretty sure everyone was worried his Arkham Knight runs on the Switch. I think the game was recently was patched, and you played it in time for a more decent performance. I don’t know if you were perfectly aware how badly it played upon release. Arkham Origins should have been included in this collection because it had better potential to run better, and made it stood out. Whereas Arkham Knight was just a mistake because the Switch can’t handle it. You’re one of those people when it comes to Arkham Knight. That’s why you give the weak inexcusable performance a pass. But you are easy to please when it comes to performances not being the best. It’s easy to overlook issues over a game you don’t like.

I stopped playing GTA games (3, Vice City, San Andreas) because now I playing these games. Why play as gangsters or psychotic on other games when you get to play as the greatest superhero of all time? In open world games?
I remember upgrading my pc specifically for Arkham Knight, the game even came with the Nvidia graphics card I bought with my upgrade. The game ran and looked like shit even though with all the upgrades, I still played and completed the game . I just think there is a version of Arkham Knight that is broken and no amount of patches or upgrades will fix it. (unless like you say you buy a Playstation or Xbox) I maybe pick this up if its ever on sale.
1:10 uhm you know the Steam Deck exists ? :D if you are more into non-Nintendo games then Steam Deck is the way to go, only if you care for Nintendo games then the switch makes sense IMO
Thing is, we’d go in on the Switch knowing everything is going to actually BE perfectly fine haf they just did Arkham Origins and Arkham Origins: Blackgate…..look, I’m playing Arkham Knight on the Steam Deck now at a locked 30fps and I’m over the moon with it, I’m certainly not the type to need a game to be over 9000fps running at 10080p90x lol, as long as it looks good and plays good, I’m good, but Arkham Knight is barely playable for the Switch….and it’s not the Switch’s fault, it’s just too demanding for the console. Sure, it’s probably 100% playable TECHNICALLY but there’s a LOT of straight up graphical GLITCHES, not just low poly or low texture imperfections….it looks really really bad, and it’s unfortunate…this whole release could’ve been looked at as a positive thing haf they just did both Origins games in place of Knight, and people would’ve understood, I don’t think anyone reasonably expected the Switch to be able to play Knight to much of a degree Before anyone points to Hogwarts or Nier Automata, those games simply don’t have all the lighting effects, particle effects and physics going on all at once, there wasn’t nearly as much going on that had to be sacrificed in order to keep a decent game out of the remains…and they STILL had to make sacrifices to both games in order to make them playable for the Switch. Both games work well enough, anyone should be satisfied, but Arkham Knight is a whole other animal. the damn Steam Deck itself CAN run Knight at 60fps, with dips here and there, but it taxes the absolute CRAP out of it, running super hot with the fan going wide open, being noisy as hell lol….30fps is all it WANTS to do, at least without threatening to blow up in your hands haha Had I been responsible for any sort of quality control with the trilogy, I wouldn’t have allowed Knight to be released in such a state, idk why WB isn’t straight up embarrassed….idk how porting works, but I don’t think I’m too off base by assuming it’d be a bit easier with Nintendo already having both Arkham Origins games made on the Wii U, the transition should’ve been fairly easy. And I don’t give a RATS ASS about hearing any bullshit reasons like “Rocksteady didn’t make those”….those are lame ass excuses that the game companies use on US!! lol it KILLS me when we use them on each other….lol, it’s not like Rocksteady didn’t make Origins canon any damn wayby adding Firefly and Deathstroke to Arkham Knight, almost EXACTLY as they appeared IN Origins!! If Rocksteady can reuse assets from Origins, they can add Origins to the damn trilogy
I scooped it up for that price. Never played any of these before, really enjoying Asylum at the moment. If City is as playable as this one, I'll have more than gotten my moneys worth before even thinking about Knight. @RSGplays

Knight is trying it's best, but switch can't handle it. I can't complete Riddler side mission because of black screen when i brought him to GCPD (earlier there were invisible walls in front of two of his trophies). Hope they will solve this problem soon.

Because it’s bad 😭 and downright unplayable and if it ran that bad it should’ve never been sold YES these games on the go are amazing but Arkham knight is no excuse and out of everything yeah I love this I am about to get it I hope they patched Arkham asylum and city they had some frame pacing issues where there was just stutters randomly I would prefer a smooth 30 fps expirence but other than that fire

I have a pc and a switch and have these games on both, and I play more on my switch because I can play where ever I want. Laying down, standing, or sitting. Unlike my pc where I have to sit in a chair. Also Arkham city on the switch oled looks very good asylum is a bit weaker but still very good as well.

im contemplating on icking it up today. i dont care about graphics or any of that BS. i mean hell, im playing mk1 on my switch and i love it ever sice the 1.9 patch which fix almost every issue. as long as the game runs smoothe and i dont have trouble with frame drops when whooping someones ass im fine. are the frame rates decent in the game as of now? because they can always be fixed with patches and updates. is the combat pretty smooth and how bad is it when driving the bat mobile and gliding throughout the city?

Just bought it for $24 bucks at the eShop. Wanted to get the physical copy, but it's very hard and expensive to find in my country. I still have Arkham City and Arkham Origins on Wii Um but I really missed playing Arkham Asylum, and for $25, plus getting City again, I won't complain for Arkham Knight xD
The newest patch for Arkham Knight just dropped today and it's massive. It took over an hour and a half to update on my Switch. Did they fix it... Probably an amazing game now?

Finished the game almost liek 10 years ago with arkham knight GOTY on the ps4. around 5 years later the game releases on the switch and I thought to myself I AM NEVER GOING TO 100% THESE GAMES AGAIN, GOD THOSE RIDDLER MISSIONS. But then I finally went and bought it last week on the switch and i just ran through most of arkham asylum, skipped cutscenes, and finally it cam to arkham knight which surprisingly ran on the switch FPS IS bad dont get me wrong but the experience stays the same

I own the arknam knight is good on switch my only issue is frame rate it’s very inconsistent. Is mainly worst on Batmobile. I still play it it’s still enjoyable but frame rate outside Batmobile but mostly 20 handheld and docked it’s all over the place between mainly 20 -30 mostly at 25 tbh. Playing dlc content like Harley’s story run at what looks like a decent 30 frames but its most in the open world you see the issues

I think the biggest complaint about the whole trilogy is its price for the outrageous quality they you get, I know it’s “playable” but how high are the standards of a nintendo supporter to cope and say “this aint that bad lemme spend my hard earned money for a half done game” like I think most people need to avoid this port for that very reason so yea I think that’s the main issue here😅 idk would love to hear what yall think
Tf you talking about? Each one of the 3 games sold at $60 individually. This collection gives you all 3 for that price. Second, only Arkham Knight suffers in quality while the other 2 games run fine. Thirdly, Arkham Knight runs in an acceptable state despite what others say. The fact that NOTHING was sacrificed other than visual fidelity is quite impressive for how massive this game is. Yes, it looks ugly, yes the framerate dips at times but irs mostly consistent. The Batmobile stuff works too and is not unplayable.
All in all, Knight has been the only game I've been playing on the trilogy because I've already put in so much time with Asylum and City that I wanted to focus on Knight as the only game I havent played.
So believe me when I say, the Knight port is far more impressive than it is disappointing. Every time I'm playing it I am just amazed that the whole game is here. I see some garbage looking textures and I'm just like, "ah, that's how they got it running. They sacrificed this random piece of a building here to make everything else look or run better."
This wasn't a lazy attempt like the Metal Gear collection. I shame anyone who buys that. Konami literally just ripped the HD collection and threw it together offering ZERO enhancements. That's why it's not optimized on Switch cause they're lazy as fuck. There is no reason the Switch can't run a fucking PS2 game at 60 fps.

I think the first 2 games run perfectly fine on switch but man arkham knight i just dont even know if im gonna play it unless its on my pc lol to me, it keeps crashing constantly and my switch is pretty new so i dont think its a dirty gpu/thermal paste issue

Asylum and City seem to be running good (not great but good), Knight on the other hand is just unplayable in my opinion.
FPS during Batmobile sections down to 16, most of the time in the 20s, and every 0.5 seconds it jumps around.
Knight should have never been ported to the switch, downgrading a graphical demanding game is just a bad idea for the Switch, thats not why the Switch was made.
They should have just put Origins on the Switch instead of Knight.
I’m pretty sure everyone was worried his Arkham Knight runs on the Switch. I think the game was recently was patched, and you played it in time for a more decent performance. I don’t know if you were perfectly aware how badly it played upon release. Arkham Origins should have been included in this collection because it had better potential to run better, and made it stood out. Whereas Arkham Knight was just a mistake because the Switch can’t handle it. You’re one of those people when it comes to Arkham Knight. That’s why you give the weak inexcusable performance a pass. But you are easy to please when it comes to performances not being the best. It’s easy to overlook issues over a game you don’t like.

I remember upgrading my pc specifically for Arkham Knight, the game even came with the Nvidia graphics card I bought with my upgrade. The game ran and looked like shit even though with all the upgrades, I still played and completed the game . I just think there is a version of Arkham Knight that is broken and no amount of patches or upgrades will fix it. (unless like you say you buy a Playstation or Xbox) I maybe pick this up if its ever on sale.

Thing is, we’d go in on the Switch knowing everything is going to actually BE perfectly fine haf they just did Arkham Origins and Arkham Origins: Blackgate…..look, I’m playing Arkham Knight on the Steam Deck now at a locked 30fps and I’m over the moon with it, I’m certainly not the type to need a game to be over 9000fps running at 10080p90x lol, as long as it looks good and plays good, I’m good, but Arkham Knight is barely playable for the Switch….and it’s not the Switch’s fault, it’s just too demanding for the console. Sure, it’s probably 100% playable TECHNICALLY but there’s a LOT of straight up graphical GLITCHES, not just low poly or low texture imperfections….it looks really really bad, and it’s unfortunate…this whole release could’ve been looked at as a positive thing haf they just did both Origins games in place of Knight, and people would’ve understood, I don’t think anyone reasonably expected the Switch to be able to play Knight to much of a degree
Before anyone points to Hogwarts or Nier Automata, those games simply don’t have all the lighting effects, particle effects and physics going on all at once, there wasn’t nearly as much going on that had to be sacrificed in order to keep a decent game out of the remains…and they STILL had to make sacrifices to both games in order to make them playable for the Switch. Both games work well enough, anyone should be satisfied, but Arkham Knight is a whole other animal.
the damn Steam Deck itself CAN run Knight at 60fps, with dips here and there, but it taxes the absolute CRAP out of it, running super hot with the fan going wide open, being noisy as hell lol….30fps is all it WANTS to do, at least without threatening to blow up in your hands haha
Had I been responsible for any sort of quality control with the trilogy, I wouldn’t have allowed Knight to be released in such a state, idk why WB isn’t straight up embarrassed….idk how porting works, but I don’t think I’m too off base by assuming it’d be a bit easier with Nintendo already having both Arkham Origins games made on the Wii U, the transition should’ve been fairly easy. And I don’t give a RATS ASS about hearing any bullshit reasons like “Rocksteady didn’t make those”….those are lame ass excuses that the game companies use on US!! lol it KILLS me when we use them on each other….lol, it’s not like Rocksteady didn’t make Origins canon any damn wayby adding Firefly and Deathstroke to Arkham Knight, almost EXACTLY as they appeared IN Origins!! If Rocksteady can reuse assets from Origins, they can add Origins to the damn trilogy
