    Looks like he was running that RED oil!😂😂😂. Ultra wouldn't look like that. Anyways, it's in great hands. 🍻

    Nice. I’ve seen guys pinch a bar and then reef on the saw to try to pull it out, that’s a great way to rip an impulse hose, or pull it off the nipple, if it doesn’t rip the hose…take care.

      Very easy to do on a 440/460/461 especially when the impulse line has some age on it. The rubber gets a little firm and less "stretchy".

    I got a 460 on ebay that was supposed to "run good".......arrived to my door and fuel line was cracked in half, so couldn't get it to start....while ripping the saw apart to do the Line, noticed the piston was Shot!! Lol.......My guess, is some clown ran piss gas threw the saw for 20 seconds, shut it off, and said "yep, it runs, throw it on ebay!".....NOT realizing they basically cooked the saw........luckily I was able to save the cylinder, it had extremely light transfer.... the piston/ring had to be replaced....but I got a Really good deal on that saw, so I didn't wanna ship it back to the guy, so I asked him to give me a partial refund to cover the cost of a new Quality aftermarket piston.

    If the impulse line was off though how was it running at all to be able to score the piston and cylinder?

    My 026 just blew up last week. I thought it was the piston when it happened but it was actually the cylinder, the transfer bridge blew apart. :( and yes it was a stock cylinder..

      @@Old_Indian_Trick I'd hate to speculate. Like I said in the beginning of the video, I like to look for the clues to the failure. I'd only be guessing if said something without seeing it in person.

    Regarding the muffler, wont they all end up looking like that with lots of work over the years? Is it possible it was ran without 2 stroke oil?

      There would have been some scoring on the intake side if it was straight gassed.

    Yikes. Wouldn't it have stopped running with the impulse line completely detached? I'm definitely still learning but I thought that was pretty necessary 😅

      Here's my best guess as to how a carb can still deliver a little fuel without the pulse line hooked up. I believe the venturi (throat of the carb) can still pull fuel with a modest vacuum created by the crankcase. Someone smarter than me may chime in to give more than a "seat of the pants" explaination.

    • @Oli4vn
      @Oli4vn Год назад +2

      @@richardflagg3084not that I’m any smarter but I imagine that the pressure in the warm fuel tank in combination with the vacuum created by the venturi in the carb can be enough to move a little fuel through the carb
