While this new design is smooth and runs quietly, the post-war version gets all of the ice cubes into the roof hatch of the waiting reefer. Also, there is no need to worry about bring the metal plate back to it's resting position against the station platform, as the solenoid activated metal plate on the post-war model automatically returns on it's own.

I have the ammo loader and it works much the same way. Excellent video with good instruction.

I think I prefer my MPC reissue to this version... when fed the proper voltage, the solenoid actuated mechanism very reliably loads the car- and when power is cut, the accessory automatically returns the figure and the metal tab. The quieter, less abrupt nature of this version isn't *bad*, however the trade off seems to be reliability and convenience. I also noted that the ice blocks appeared to escape the chute instead of being deposited in front of the figure "one at a time", an issue my MPC version does not have.
Perhaps sticking to the postwar style mechanism would have been wiser.

Why is it on every version of the icing station There’s two pieces of ice preventing the real ice from falling down the shoot but when you open it that’s not there, i used double sided tape to stick two pieces of ice in those spots

It’s the remake of the classic ice depot .

I think the 1956 version works much better
