I decided to take up birdwatching this summer, and wanted to draw the birds I identify. Unfortunately I have no idea how to draw them. This video is perfect for me! I enjoy the simple shapes that will allow me to work fast, which is needed to draw the birds in the wild. Thank you for making this video!! 🫶🏼

I could watch you sketch birds for hours, it's mesmerizing to see the shapes evolve into something recognizable! I will definitely be taking your skillshare class soon. 😀

The point is to draw, not to just watch. If the video is sped up, you don't learn how the artist meets the pencil and the paper. I've been learning to sketch for the last month. The good instructors are the ones that do not speed up the instructions. It's a waste of time if you want to learn, but if you use it as therapy, then it's good just to watch someone draw.

Loved watching every minute of this tutorial. So inspirational! The soothing voice and calming music also helped to absorb the sketching tips! Thank you, Louise!

1st one to last one of mine - I can see how rigid I was to then how loose I was. Good exercise. I like using the straight angles instead of always trying to grab the gesture curve which can sometimes be really difficult. Thanks!

I'm too busy with Xmas commissions at the moment but you're inspiring me to do some simple sketching again. I do neglect it too much...

Not jealous. Not at all... 😜
Thank you! I'm always neglecting it too. But when I do sit down, it's always so fun and relaxing.

Fantastic and inspiring. I was just about to cancel my Skillshare membership, but I won't now! Thanks for the video and your class. I've been in a creative slump so this is just what I need. I love that you put a YT video on to see birds in various movements. I would never have thought of this, it's brilliant. I get lots of birds where I live but as you know, they are forever on the move and impossible to sketch, even if it's a loose fast sketch. I liked and subscribed.

    There's nothing wrong with Anime.😗
Anyway. Still a good drawing. Just looks stylized.
I know you were making a point, but I had to say stuff.👍
Good idea on just pausing videos. I'm over here over complicating trying to think of reference books to buy that I can't afford.😅
    Thanks for the video.

Puh. 😂
