They talk about the 9mm model but you can’t buy extra magazines for it, I’ve already checked with Kahr Arms and they don’t have any available. They also said they were going to make a drum magazine for it but that never happened. I’m also guessing that spare parts aren’t available either because they’re not listed in the parts section of their website.
@@sirnoname6943 I have the 45 ACP version. A friend of mine found a used 9mm and asked me what I thought about it. He has a lot of 9mm but no 45 so that’s why it appealed to him. He asked about where to get extra mags so I did some online checking and even contacted Kahr about where to get them and discovered Kahr doesn’t have any and that they are almost unobtainium on Gun Broker and other online gun trading sites. Kind of a bad business plan to introduce a new model but not supply the accessories.
I've got the pistol version. Simulates the real one except, of course, it's semi, not full but it does have the 10" barrel so it looks more accurate as a repro. Considering spending the 200 bucks and going for an SBR stamp so I can put a stock on it. I had a chance to buy a real Thompson in 1985 for $8,000 but I couldn't justify that high cost so I didn't buy it. Next year (1986) they passed the "no more new machineguns to civilians" law and the cost of that same gun went up to $30,000.............
My dad just gave me his this week. It looks identical to this one in every aspect. What surprised me was how heavy it is. It really is a solid piece of hardware compared to our UMP45 or MP5. It has pretty good ergonomics too. I'd prefer the military version where the wood is under the barrel vice the foregrip, but you get used to the foregrip after a while. It's very reliable, and because of the weight, not much recoil either. He also gave us the drum, and we haven't loaded it yet. Not sure other than the novelty factor why we would use it...would make the gun weigh 20 pounds I imagine.

Awesome

Love it. Does not come with the "third hand" though. recommend getting that to help with drum and mag in n out.
is the Tommy legal in New York, I have been told it's not.
It’s not because of the pistol grip. Just like shotguns with pistol grips.
