- Definitely watch the video for this one. Unfortunately this was one of the most drying bars I have used. The smell was good and the shape of the bar….but thats about it. It weighs about 4oz and thats pretty good too. Hope you all enjoy. Stay clean

years back in the 1980s i couldnt use dial bar especially the Gold bar soap, my skin use to break out in rash on my face, Im a woman mom, and now 2022, they must of changed the ingredients in all the dial bar soaps, i love the white bar soap and the GOLD Bar soap, i just now tried the Mountain fresh bar soap, has a fresh manly scent in that bar soap, but cleans great, but my go to is the white bar...the best!!!!!
Several years ago Dial soap bar would dry me out.Nowdays I regularly use all the scents and no complaints.
I think its a good soap you can use once every 5-7 days. Its drying, yes but when there's alot of dirt in your body it really cleans you off great.I had the pleasure of using this 3 times in my life. Twice in Singapore when i visited, now im in the Philippines. It was pleasant which is why I am here.
Aside from the activity, it may be a factor of the type of skin I have. To tell you honestly I have acne but everytime I use this soap it feels so refreshing. But I agree its not a daily soap. Its very drying. But if utilized properly it may be a game changer.
Since I’m a maintenance guy I have to use dial for my skin I sweat A LOT so I shower about twice a day, I never had crack skin or issues, by the way I use gold
That’s because dial is high in glycerin, it’s one of the few deodorant soaps that don’t dry me out.
Buddy that's impressive, you obviously don't have sensitive skin!
@@dinarusso3320 update, I now use dove blue soap on my last wash to scent and moisturize my skin just to go the extra mile

I like to use a body wash after I use I dial bar. And definitely put on a shea butter or lotion after the shower
I like this soap, I've been using it for years. Unfortunately, I can no longer find it in Canada. I don't think Dial sells bar soap in Canada any longer. I hope I'm wrong.

Spot on again! Quite right, this is only good for feet, and hands. I like soaps like these in the kitchen, as they're excellent for removing grease, and strong smells from hands like onion, garlic, or fish. Dial had a blue glycerine based Dial for Men bar that was fresh smelling, but not as chemical as this formula. It was definitely milder, though still labelled as deodorant soap. Both the Gold and White original bars have a classic clean fragrance that I enjoy. They're both caustic as well however!

i shower alot and for a long time too and i get that exact same itchy feeling with these bars and any deodorizer/no moisturizer bar. the best bar ive had to counter this itch and also be a great deodorizer is the dove mens antibacterial bars. those bars were game changers when they came out
I would only use Dial soap for my crotch area and butt area. It’s very drying for any other body parts
Dial bar soap 🧼 is the best thing to use for a deep clean and to eliminate body odor. The Gold and Mountain Fresh are the best smelling
Over where I’m at we have a bunch of Dial Gold I’ve seen single packs too
Love dial products i have some dial gold you can buy it at dollar tree in ontario good video or another place they sell it is budget club in trenton ontario
I bought an eight pack of these just before I switched to all natural bar soap. It's night and day. I thought itchy skin was just natural for me. I had no idea it was the soap I was using. This soap dries like mad. 6 bars that will probably never be used now sit on my shelf. I am going to try making my own cold process soap soon.
Making the soap is totally awesome and good luck. Definitely not just you, this stuff is like acid lol. Good for hand washing and your feet but thats about it.
From my experience, its not just the harsh foaming ingredients like sls, the fragrance can also cause irritation just as much. I had the same experience with kirks bar soap, made my hands feel kinda dry, so i tried the fragrance free version and it was alot different and i like the smell of the fragrance free better anyway. id probably suggest avoiding any fragrances unless its maybe a mild natural plant extract or essential oil of some sort
Same here, the only store bought soap I use is Dove or natural soap. Most of the cheap big brand soap dry like crazy.
You can just use the Dial for hand soap

They still make the Gold bar, I get it from Walmart.
Some people I see here do not use dial but I have to because my doctor said to because of my surgery get my gallbladder removed
Dial soap maybe a good soap to wash your car tire, not your body. Who wants to have slimy body after sweating like when you workout and when you dry when you dry yourself, you get itchy all over the body? It melts too like butter after use and leaving it in the bathroom soap holder.

i have a lot of that blue spring water soap but unfortunately it makes my body itch a lot and it burns me when i showering with it, I dont know what they put in that spring water soap but it's not good for me, so I stick with the dial gold bar version that soap doesn't do that to me.

What is up with soaps smelling like laundry detergent. Ive tried at least a dozen different bar soaps over the past year that smelled like detergent lol
Chemicals man. Always cheap and easy for them
Traditional soaps like dial, irish spring etc have a really high PH and are very caustic. Can be incredibly drying and stripping and will deteriorate the integrity of your natural skin barrier over time. What that means is your skin will age faster. I use soap-free moisturising body washes and syndet bars. I haven't seen you reviewing any syndet bars before. There's plenty in the drugstore, cerave hydrating bar is one of them, would love to know what you think of it. Perhaps in a future video?

@@BarSoapManCanada technically, yes. But it's more of a hybrid. Meaning it uses a combination of both synthetic surfactants namely sodium isethionate and sodium cocoyl isothionate and traditional soap ingredients namely sodium palmate and sodium palm kernalate. While still gentle, dove is nowhere near as gentle as a TRUE syndet bar that is free from any soap ingredients. A true syndet bar has the most luxurious, oily and hydrating lather of any cleansing bar. Do give the cerave hydrating bar or the cetaphil syndet bar a try. Would be interesting to see what you think in a future video.

Dial soap is high in glycerin. I have never had dry skin after using it.

for me this is hands only and even then will end up cracking my skin if I use it to much dial always been a no for me even the gold ones just can't use them

I like Dial but this is probably their weakest soap, just nothing special about it imo

Safeguard is very dry
