  • (WARNING: after doing more research it appears the active ingredient in the New dial gold could be a real problem for people who suffer from eczema or sensitive skin FYI.) Back in 2015 i first reviewed dial gold but i never took it into the shower and simply warned people off of it. (one of the reasons was because it included triclosan which was banned in Europe at the time) Since then potentially harmful chemicals have (maybe ?) been removed so let's give it a go !

I'm actually traumatized by the scent of their Gold Bar lol but I think Dial in general makes a good 1rst cleanse soap for that "squeaky clean feeling" (if your wanting to just focus on getting clean) before focusing on reintroducing moisture in the 2nd cleanse with something like say Dove.

I've been washing with this exact brand since I was a teen. I tried a couple of body washes over the years but tossed them after the first use, they feel greasy to me. I like the squeaky clean feeling and the fact that after my shower is over, I don't smell the soap anymore. Modern soaps and washes smell so strongly to me, like people are bathing in fragrance and want to smell like their bath products all day long. I've always wondered if the "antibacterial" claim is fact, and if it's harmful, but after these many years of life I suppose it doesn't matter at this point 😊

This was my late grandmother’s favorite soap. It’s antibacterial so I would never use it on my lady parts. I had a few procedures & the surgeon would always recommend you use antibacterial soap prior to surgery. Its also really good for bad body odor like you mentioned but I hate how dry it leaves my skin afterwards. I like this soap simply because it takes me bk to my childhood 😌🥰☺️. My granny would scrub the heck out of us after a day of playing outside 😂 Needless to say, we were squeaky clean afterwards for bedtime ❤

I tried dial on a whim. It lathers and cleans like liquid hand soap. No complaints from me

Tricosan is banned because it destroys bacteria but can cause it to evolve and be more drug resistant to antibiotics. Regular soap on its own does the job very well.

There’s a new chemical they use now that replaced triclosan , have you heard anything negative about it ?

  • @christinamartinez8132

Dial dries my face and body out. It's antibacterial, so I use it

I eat pieces of this bar and to be honest all the dial s , I know it not good for u but it's irresistible

as of early 2024, dial changed the odor of their white bar 'fresh rain(?)' soap. It stopped smelling good, and now smells like hospital mop solution. So I'm done with dial. Just got a bunch of irish spring at costco, but it's not the same as it used to be. It's now made in mexico, seems like it doesn't give a long-lasting odor. Not thrilled with it either. Is safeguard any good??? I used to use Lever 2K, but that started sucking around 8 years ago when they moved production to Mexico.

  • @JoeT-re5ro

I’ve never been a fan of the smell like you said it’s got the antiseptic scent . I prefer Irish spring to this .
