also, for newbies, do push ups and core exercises. pros dont say it but it helps a lot. when you got strong body, you can take bad landings better and can get away with crashes
This repetition narrative is exactly what I needed to hear. I feel like so many people at the bike park are lucking their way through jumps that are outside their abilities, rather than building the muscle memory that leads to confidence.
"I'm putting my life in somebody else's hands" To be fair, when it comes to these things, Bernard Kerr would be possibly my number 1 choice, the man is a machine, always hear he's the first to run an entire course first. Excellent video, really enjoyed the energy!
Confidence is so key I sent a new big jump yesterday I was nervous but did it 6 times I like to do it over and over back to back to get it out of my head
He's running Crank Brothers pedals, which don't have a tension adjustment. However, they do have a much larger float zone than SPD type! So they allow for a lot more rotational movement before they release.
I hate to be one of those people but Elliot's helmet strap is crazy loose! I see it out on the trails too and just pains me to see a helmet basically becoming useless in a crash. Sorry I will see myself out.

Agreed
💯
who tf does this😂. i know nobody who ever did this to practise their whips and a bunch of my friends do 90s on dh bikes
@@dynamo4436 definitely can’t hurt to be fit though bud!
@@sheenboyjollins6313 yeah but strength has nothing to do with whips
Need more Bernard n Elliot!
Eliot is so entertaining! Such positive vibes!
Just subscribed. I learned alot for these guys. BK was one of my fave riders.
Love this collab between Eliot and BK. Super nice and sympathic
Elliot is such a chill dude. He's a great commentator, and it's cool to see him in some ride vids like this.
yeah guys! glad you had a sick session on the local!
Thank you, great video with lots of explanation on the parts of a whip!
I've spent most of my adult life trying to whip like Elliot Jackson. I likely will never get there but this video helped me feel better
You got it, keep going!🤘🏼
do your own style of whippage bro
What a pleasant surprise on my feed. Subscribed!

💯 Nice!
Hilarious Elliot and Bernard - too funny
Wow this helps a Lot thanks Guys!
🤘🏼
Do you have to put more air in your shock and fork for this?
What microphones are used here thx
Thank you again for great tips. Im just wondering, any idea if Eliot and Bernard ride 29 or 27 wheels? Just wondering, thanks in advance
We’re pretty sure 29’s
9:09 I'm not sure what repition is, can we have a video on it? 😜
Hah it’s ripping with repetition! Thanks saw that, working on fixing!
Best mtn bike video I've seen in a while.
🙌🏼
Legit awesome video guys!!! 🔥
that jump is sick; it's by my office. but wont say where! lolol.
Good kept secret;-)
SC is on the map.
Noticed Eliot clip in. I’ve had some sketchy un-clips when starting to get sideways. Do y’all just crank the clip tension really tight?

This is our year of jumping
Yes sir!
He said "should I pull out?" 😂
Elliott took it in first run!!!
Sign me up for any Video with Eliot and Bernard!!
Get these guys on a tandem!
SC 👊
9:10 😅
That beautiful bronson is getting insulted by the orange fork sir 😢
Just be like Sam Pilgrim and 180 to land backwards!
Eliot needs to tighten his helmet strap... Bernard has it right!
if your not nervous then your not trying
full face helmets look cooler 😉

What kind of shoes is Bernard wearing? The color of those things are sick
Confidence and repition? I'm sure that I could gain that if I knew what a repition was. 😅
Using physics to whip a bike around.

Haha no worries, we pointed it out too. Think he just wanted to be comfortable during filming.
I'm sorry but a helmet with such a loose strap is pretty much useless... ? Will fly off at the first touch during a fall.
It took a black guy to get me to understand how a whip is whipped...
What black guy? Lolwtf.
Clickbait - nearly a 3rd of the way through, and nothing about whips.🤷♂️
Nah it’s there
@@cruxacademybike Not for someone with a short attention span. 🤷♂️ I'll have to track down a shorter "how to", with a more focused approach.
how can you teach trick when you're scared to jump a little jump??
