Bottom out, get your money's worth. 🤙
That's why I tug one out before I meet her. 😂
Really great how you jump into the nuisances of setting up yr bike and the importance of making small adjustments and test/try!
Those bird of paradise are amazing in the background
Yup - I'm a long torso short leg guy, and I ride a medium (should be on a large), but I run 1" of spacers and a 25mm rise bar....gets it right in the pocket for me. It's a bit of a princess and the pea situatoin for getting your handlebar in a position that puts you in the neutral position on the bike. Great observation and something everyone should ponder.
People should try high rise bars like Pro Taper's 76mm rise. Makes riding so much for controlled and comfortable.
Oh dear, speaking of which just dealing with this matter at the moment and it does my head in :)
Thanks for putting this out there. Never came to mind how important bar height was...Going to experiment now!
Honestly bar height and rise makes such a difference in body position and feel. My buddy and I have the same bikes but setup differently and instantly he was in love with my bike and on the flip side something just didn’t feel right no his.
The ‘bottoming out’ thing was really good to hear about. Most of us ride the same range of trails, week in, week out. So, we should be using all the travel on the biggest hits. If riding all sorts every week or two, then maybe not. But who has the luxury of being able to ride every type of trail every week? Thanks for these tips!🎉
In my motocross days, the axiom was if you’re not bottoming out once a lap, your suspension is too firm
You talked about the bike pulling you forward when hitting a good compression, i feel i get that sometimes. What can i do to reduce that?
I recently changed my 150mm 36s to 170mm 38s, after a couple of weeks I noticed I wasn't using all of my suspension, probably about 30mm from bottoming out, made a couple of changes and it is incredible.
What did you Change?
@Thomas Fersch just my rebound and I took a little pressure out, I'm a fairly big guy, so I've always pumped forks up to my weight, but a little bit out of these seemed to be great!
@@LivingWithTheCoopers thanks a lot
I'm not an expert but I will add that most mechanics seem to advise to pressurize your air suspension so that you achieve the manufacturer's recommended sag setting. If you aren't using all of your travel you could then remove tokens if it has any in order to decrease the ramp up towards the end of the stroke which would allow it to use the end of it's travel easier. Then you can adjust compression and rebound depending on your trails and personal preference. With that said, if the settings you are running feel great to you then rock on!
Do you guys accord with raad lee mackormack ?
Where is jordi cortes ????
Numbered of each mistake and timeline, it will be great.
Lazy mf, watch the damn video it’s 10 mins long
That Santa Cruz is 🤤
High bars are amazing, just need a looong chainstay to balance it out.
BK is THE goat
Lsc is the first step like 0 40% of the travel, then the rest to final shock travel is HSC.
Much prefer the Pivot in the background, though I'd use the Reserve rims over Reynolds ... That's where I have, Pivot Mach 6 with DH 31 Reserves. It's perfect
Biggest mistake ppl make is getting an orange fork 😂
Nothing new here or clear process to dial in your suspension.
I am sorry to say this, but I didn't get any new information: Personal preference, check manufacturer instructions.... Well...
There’s always one in the crowd….
Then this video wasn't for you... There are many videos you can dive into that get more depth by suspension tuners ...
Sounds like you’re the man! Looking forward to seeing you in the UCI final top 30 with BK at Lenzerheide 🙄
@@_Jake.From.Statefarm_ yes, that's exactly what I said, this video didn't talk to me. I didn't find anything new in it.
@@yaakov_meir people who don't know what you know, it will help though.
