I failed to see anything magical about this trick what so ever. Think of a card and tell me what it is and where it is! Then why think of it? This only worked with Tommy Cooper and the blindfolded duck trick. R.I.P. Tommy Cooper.
This is for me, the best ACAAN method (methods..) I've seen. The ACAAN is my fave trick, so I've studied a lot of methods...good tutorial ! Thanks for sharing.
On getting to > 26: If you've got more than one spectator, you can ask each of them to pick a number and just add them up. Each of them has a "free" choice, but you can stop once you get to > 26. You could get them to pick the card that way, too: first spectator picks red/black, second picks the suit, etc.
I love this term "Jazz Magic". I tried googling it and it doesn't seem like its a super established term. But it should be. Definitely seems like a good term for an entire genre and style of impromptu magic.
It's clear this method is close to your heart, Cavan. Unfortunately, it has significant weaknesses that will undermine its impact. Nonetheless, an interesting approach and very well executed.
@@roccoVALTrue! But if you know a trickier one you can do this one kinda sloppy, stealthy encourage the skeptical person to call you out. Then offer to repeat the trick just for them and bust out the fanciest cleanest ACAN in your magic tool box.
You're an excellent teacher Cavan! I may try this one day. Thank you! Btw, have you ever considered just culling the card to the 12th position? Culls seem very easy to hide.
I have been learning many acaans lately but this is genius. The simplicity is great. Allowing them to shuffle beforehand makes this a miracle in the eyes of the spectator. I will practice this one. Thank you for sharing. Keep up the good work.
Top 2nd card deal is what I find easiest to do an ACAAN. I've tried many times to get a bottom deal perfected with zero success. I will stick to the top deal. Lol.
Great explanation, thanks. Still, I don't like the part where I have to look at the cards, literally the entire deck, for no reason (from the point of view of my spectators). I think it will look very suspicious for them.
@@CavanBooth1 I would love to see more tutorials from you. I have seen a lot of magic tutorial videos, I must say I think you are the most entertaining and I really do learn from you. Thank you 😎👊.
Doesn’t look like it, which makes this trick ridiculous. There is no possible reason from a spectator’s point of view why you would need to scan through the deck.
@@staygulf83Yeah, most spectators will assume that's when you moved the card. Even more suspicious is neck-tying the deck while you deal seconds from it face up. This is not a clean method at all.
Like you said your having to do second deals quite a few of them sometimes while you've got the pack tilted away from the spectator so they can't see the top card. Why don't you use a Stripper deck, get someone to take a card then get it to go to the bottom of the pack without the spectator knowing, then ask them to name a position in the deck where they think their card is, then count the cards one at a time, when you get to the number they selected for their card to be in just deal their chosen card from the bottom of the deck.
Long story short, he forces a card without knowing what it is. No sleight of hand involved. Look up his ACAAN Chapter 1 video on penguinmagic. It’s only $10 and is basically the same trick from fool us. The only difference is the method of force. The video is 1 hour of the best tips and psychological advice you can get for an ACAAN trick. Well worth the money.
The only problem here is that when you spread the deck they might think that you are placing it in the 12 position even though you dont but still a amazing trick
trick is good. explanation is taking sssooooooooooooooooooooooo long so many unnecessary details. so pro tip, set playback speed 1.5x. edit: never mind. just skip this vid and check some other tutorials.
Loads of things you can do, but if you've controlled the card to the top, you can claim 52 as the top card and reveal it! I had someone name 1 once, and simply handed them the deck to check the top card. If anything, its more impressive! Good question though!
Lemme know what you think of this ACAAN in the comments! And if you want the extended teaching: www.patreon.com/posts/70319780
Your version greatly simplifys the acaan

yah the weakness is that hes looking at the cards....so BOOOOM every spectator will think card was moved to X position while he was "just looking"

That's awesome! Seems so fair and the spectator shuffles. Really impressive trick 🎩

Nice tutorial Cavan ♣♥♠♦
Just ask them to half the pack if it is in the middle , make a note of which half and card above
Also a brilliant idea!
Wow so good i came across your video . What a brill magic . Love it . This is a gem indeed . You got yourself another subscriber !! Jim
You are so inspiring and I love your vids❤️🔥

Not the entire deck at all! Just until you see their card. Can even be done with as you riffle, just to peek where the card is roughly in the pack.
If it bothers you that much then use a marked deck
Looking at the deck after the selection has been stated aloud seems kinda sus🤷🏻♂️✌🏻
ohhh my goodness
this is perfect bro

I always enjoy your intro~
What’s the rationale for looking at the cards when you perform this?
I agree I think the looking through the deck ruins the effect. For this method it would be better to use a marked deck
Can you suggest a good reason to give for you scanning through the deck?
Doesn’t look like it, which makes this trick ridiculous. There is no possible reason from a spectator’s point of view why you would need to scan through the deck.

keep the two jokers in the pack and say "Oh I forgot to remove the jokers"
You simply need to do a second deal 😂😂😂
Any good tutorial on the second deal and bottom deal?

Card magic doesn't get much better than this. Outstanding!
Thanks!
Thank you so much!!
Just brilliant
Thank you sir!
All of your stuff is highly valuable and interesting, but this ... THIS, mate ... it's such a cliché, but it's a goddamn game changer.
Really means a lot, thank you!
How does Dani (Fools Us) do this trick without asking for the card until the very end?
Long story short, he forces a card without knowing what it is. No sleight of hand involved.

Good trick but the fact you look through the cards first is very suspicious…😉👍🏻
The only problem here is that when you spread the deck they might think that you are placing it in the 12 position even though you dont but still a amazing trick
My thought exactly, if you're already spreading openly why not cull and place in proper position?
How do you justify that you have to look trough the cards?
EDIT: Lol your method is completely different to what I had in mind.
Maybe Leave the jokers in and then realize you have to remove them and spread through
Daniel Radcliffe?
This is so impressive. Its probably the closest thing I've ever seen to the berglas effect. And this is out of hundreds of ACCANS!!!
Spoils the whole effect when the spec tells you what card they are thinking of. Give me an Invisible Deck any day.
The spectator literally has to tell you what card they're thinking of in the Invisible Deck.

Ask their age for the position
Suppose they name the number 52

It is not 1/26
The card being on the top or bottom is 1/26 (or 2/52, same thing)
