I recently just performed my second gig ever for a Charity Ball and I removed the Jokers (while secretly manipulating the deck for the first trick) and literally said the words "we'll get to the Jokers at the end" and ended with a three phase sandwich routine.
Intresting Video, but can you make a Video focused on how to invent stories around tricks/routines. Especially for card tricks it is mostly a big improvement to have a good Story because it moves the trick away from the level of a card trick to a more magical experience.
Another fantastic video Cavan, a routine would definitely give me more confidence to perform, rather than "which trick should I do first?" and clumsily roll into the next one. I do think there may be a caveat to the "save the best for last" idea, as it's often said in Stand Up, your best joke should be your last joke, but the second best has to be your opener. What do you think? PS. Your Patreon used to start at $5 I remember, any reason for the increase?
