    When Stewart passes Villopoto on that turn, and the crowd goes wild. I can relate that feeling in Orlando Supercross. I miss those days 😔

    Personally, I feel that when at the top of his game, there is literally no other human being on the planet who can beat Stewart in a Supercross race. No one.

    • @qwertyuiop4991
      @qwertyuiop4991 9 лет назад +31

      +ClusiveC That's because stewart is more reckless than most pros. Its all very well being the fastest, but if you're out injured, or inconsistent BECAUSE of that extra speed, then its not a good strat because its only a matter of time before you mess up.
      When it works it works well, but James is also known for having some of the biggest blowouts.
      History cares about results, not speed.

      +ClusiveC My son was an amateur racer years ago when James was an amateur. I compare James to Danny "Magoo" Chandler, who was, in my opinion, the greatest motocross rider EVER. What makes James and Danny great is that they will win or they will crash trying to win.

    Nobody changed the sport like Bubba, the REAL BUBBA #259.

    • @airkid1298
      @airkid1298 9 лет назад +5

      Bubba beat all rc records until the 250's.RC rewrote the record books bubba showed you what could really be done on a bike (scrubs and whips) when the sport changed from 2 stroke to 4 stroke it stopped being about raw natural talent and became about who can hold the gas on the longest and not crash. I'm sure others will tell you it takes much less talent to ride a thumper than it does a 2 stroke. I didnt read you're comment because it's too long btw ;)

    • @snowzZzZz
      @snowzZzZz 8 лет назад +4

      +Eddie Williams I love how Bubba could beat the 250 4 strokes on the 125 by riding purely on skill. It is the most amazing thing to see him wheelie a straight away and destroy the 4 strokers.

    • @snowzZzZz
      @snowzZzZz 8 лет назад

      Eddie Williams what?

    • @airkid1298
      @airkid1298 8 лет назад +4

      +Xunatic showed a whole diff. Post... But yea it was all about skill back then, bubba would have shattered all RC and mc records if they were still racing 2 strokes. 4 strokes leveled the playing field. That's how ferry and kdub used to beat RC from time to time not taking anything away from their riding ability but times change. Js7 will always be the king of the 2 strokes and the scrub.

    Don't get me wrong, I like Villopoto, but I don't care what anybody says - James Stewart caught Villopoto in a straight on 1v1 battle and destroyed him in this race. I remember watching this live, and RV slipped up after Stewart made that pass. What's funny is that Stewart didn't even touch him. They showed the slowed-down replay and it was a perfect, clean pass with no contact at all.

    This GoPro was awesome! I love it, Stewart's shines, he's the underdog and has faced the most adversity, that's why he is my favourite rider, nobody does it like Stewart he can pull off jumps others can't do and scrub like nobody in the sport, his consistency in championships was challenged by Carmichael and injuries due to RAW speed, he rides more than any other rider and has a big heart he changed the sport by being the first African American rider to win a championship in the U.S. So F$&K the Haterz

  • @kepong23
    @kepong23 10 лет назад +13

    villopoto is fast and consistent. stewart keeps on having problems, crashes, mechanical issues because he keeps on pushing himself beyond what he can do. for me, stewart is still the fastest guy. he keeps on getting the fastest qualifying time in almost every race. and if you noticed, there were more times of stewart passing villo than villo passing stewart. James is way more humble than villopoto.

    • @fredbruno
      @fredbruno 10 лет назад +3

      No you are wrong, Stewart his boost gauge comes on as the race goes, while the others are trying to get an advantage and maintain it. This guy just elevate his game to the competition but he's really not pushing himself beyond what he can do, the talent is there ! Villopoto was first the whole time and Stewart chased him and got the lead on the 11th lap. At the same time he passed villopoto he was way ahead dude.

      I usually don't jump on the race card bandwagon but I totally agree. There's so many closet racists in the sport that won't admit they're racists. They just claim they don't like his personality yet they're HUGE Chad Reed fans. Reed was one of the biggest dicks to ever grace the sport. I actually like him now, but in his prime years, he was sneaky shithead that acted like he never did anyone wrong.

    Its funny to me how everyone here is so blind to the fact that villopoto is way beyond stewarts reach in the championship points. The even funnier one is who's better? Well Championships take wins and consistency to earn. Wins by themselves just show that your good when you want to be. 3 vs 2 Championships and im pretty sure Villopoto is getting a 4th. Lastly Villopoto is only a couple wins away from stewart and stewart is a few years older. PEOPLE LOOK AT THE FACTS!

      So he got stuffed in that corner cause his points slowed him down? You can talk about numbers all you want but every time these two go head to head like this Stewart usually comes out on top. RV just knows how to put a championship together better and that's why he's about to get his 4th number one plate. No need to try and bring Stewart down because he beat your favorite rider. Also your definition of a "couple" is much different than mine.

      Andre Yanez You are incorrect on a few things. You forgot to add that Ryan has beat James head to head more than you are willing to remember. James in this instance was doing a quad that nobody else was doing. Otherwise if you remove that section he was even with everyone else including Barcia and Roczen. James is an amazing rider and is capable of hauling some serious ass. Just don't be that guy trying to justify their favourite rider. Take it easy.

      crunkdragon3 really I'm the one trying to justify a rider? These two hardly ever go head to head like they did here because one or the other is usually injured or gets a bad start. Most races I've seen with them two going at it James wins or RV crashes trying to keep up. And how are you trying to use James' quad against him? Maybe RV should have stepped up and gone for it.. and it doesn't always help James look what happened last week. He cased that quad and RV walked on him. Last race is actually one of the few times I've seen RV outrun James.
      It really comes down to their different mindsets, RV doesn't mind losing because he is always focused on the big picture. If the points race was closer RV would have to push it more but there's no point in talking what ifs. He put himself in the best position to be the champion. Can't take that away from him.

      Andre Yanez Bro... I'm just gonna be honest. I don't care about this flame war so I didn't read your message. let's just agree that motorcycles are awesome and I'll say peace. Peace.

    Compare this to the ones from just this past weekend at Oakland. RV and JS had more intensity and the tracks looked quite a bit sketchier

    James is one of the few guys who will dump his bike at the start of a race be last and then come back an win it.Amazing rider.A little crazy which in motocross is a prerequisite.

    Stewart is making a great run for the championship. He may come up just a little short though due to 4 bad races:/ I'm hoping Villopoto will somehow sit out a round to make this thing really interesting :D Dungey isn't even a part of the championship anymore. He does not have speed or strength he had last year. Hope he gets his act together.
