He'll never be the most consistent guy in the world, but he is the fastest I've ever seen do it. The control he has over that bike and the balls he has to put it in some of the places he puts it... Unreal.
Fred Crider III Yea man he takes so many risk.. That along with the bike being an extension of his body makes him so damn fast.. But unfortunately the risks is also what usually leads to his crashes..
+richie horton 90% of what you just took all that damn time to write about has ANYTHING to do with what I said. And, as far as your opinion on James Stewart's lack of speed...forgive me if a put more weight in the opinions of people like Ricky Carmichael, Travis Pastrana, Kevin Windham... who have all said over and over again that.... James Stewart is the fastest man to EVER put a leg over a motorcycle. Your opinion means nothing....zero...to anyone.
I was also there to watch it live. Probably the best single performance I will ever see in person. My seat was along the rhythm section that was before the big triple. Me and my friends joked that there was a rhythm if someone had the balls to hit it that would win them the race. We thought if anyone would it would be stewart and it was and he did haha.
Same here, big Canadian supercross fan. Remember this like it was yesterday. My first race before this one, was the race where he rejoined the track, after an off and got tboned, in like 2007. It was also Carmichael's last Toronto race and kind of a turning point in js7's career. Felt great to see him actually ride clean and dominate the field.
One of the most memorable sx races of the past few years. You could hear the crowd going ballistic as JS7 went on a charge of a lifetime to the front!!
I honestly thought James didn't have a chance of winning with a start like that when I was watching live, boy was I so wrong. Some of the lines he was doing, I don't think any rider ive ever seen could do those but James. Probably one of James best ever performances, easily one of the top 3 of his career.
bubba was the fastest man on the planet! He always made passes look so easy and clean. He really never put anyone in the dirt or made an unnecessary move on someone. So damn good man
+Tyler P. No, all the factory riders have equally decked out bikes. With your logic, I can beat Stewart, Dungey, Roczen, and Tomac with a faster bike, and more combustable race fuel. It's called skill.
It's so great that the GoPro camera came along in time to document the fastest man ever in the history of the sport! He rides like its a video game and he still has two lives left.
I can smell the 2 stroke right now. Of all the videos I’ve seen on RUclips, this was the most satisfying, energized, exciting clip I have ever seen. This was simply a great video. Didn’t even get frustrated at the length of it. Thank you GoPro thank you RUclips. You guys are the poop.
In my 20+ years watching this sport, that was one of the most memorable rides I've seen. James pulled the trigger on at least three rhythms in the main event that no one else even came close to, including that quad over the tabletop. That's why Stewart is called the fastest man alive.
that triple triple right before he passed Dungey on the split part was crazy. Also how he wheelies through those first 3 singles that are like 7 ft apart after the starting gate turn, while everyone else taps there front wheel on each one. amazing ride

Awesome RIDE! No one can touch stewart if he dont let the speed he can go throw him off the bike. If he dont get hurt, even at his age and comming toward the later years of a mxer i think he can win for years and years. He can make the 40's which is a long time away, into the new 30's like chad reed. Chad still got it in him. Better now in fact than ever, same with stewart the longer you ride the better you get as long as you can keep the fitness up which i dont see being a problem. As long as its not a career ending injury. ANYHOW what I really wanted to say is this isnt the first time I saw Stewart win this year, with both Justin Barcia first to congradulate James and Dungy right there 2nd or first just as well. Great sportmanship makes me like them both that much more. GOOD STUFF GOOD RACERS DEEP FIELD FOR SURE.
One of the greatest rides he's ever had... I can still hear the crowd like it was yesterday, we loved it. James was on a different level that day, taking lines no one else was and he was so consistent and smooth. It was like he turned back the hands of time. I’ve raced against James back in 1997 in the schoolboy class when he was riding a kx 100. He was on such another level even back then. I was a top 3 125 b class riders at the time and he blew by me like I was standing still. He lapped just about half of the schoolboy class by the 5th lap.
